Sweet Day

It's a new challenge theme at 
The Sisterhood of Crafters  and the theme is 'FLOWERS'
hosted by our 'sistah' Darlene.

What could be a better theme for May right?
All the pretty Spring flowers are coming to life from their long winter naps
to spread joy with their beautiful blooms!

I have to admit that I have an addiction not only to the layered flower
stamps and dies but also to the layered stencils.
However, that being said it not a bad addiction at all
but  a beautiful one to have!!

This card was created with layered stencils from
Pink Fresh Studio Daisy Wreath,
It also has a matching die to make even more card designs.
Isn't it gorgeous?  Just think of all the pretty colors you can create with this,
I used the Altenew cube set Sweet Dreams and also Dew Drop inks
New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves.

I used a white Signo pen and added dots to the flower centers.

The sentiment is also from Pink Fresh Studio Simply Sentiments Hello
stamped on a Pretty Pink Post Stitched Strip die that is trimmed down.

The stencils make a very fast card to create.

Ship In A Bottle

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today:

 Summer will be here before you know it the way time flies by

and Tutti Designs sure has a LOT of fabulous summer dies,
the Ship In A Bottle and the Fishing Net being two of their many to choose from! 

A really nice thing about the Ship In a Bottle die is that when cut, the ship is separate
giving you many more options to create and use it.
Not much explanation of what I did here as it's pretty self explanatory!
I did place the fish net underneath, what a fun die it is!!

Flowers of the Month July Thru December

It's the third Wednesday of the month and that brings us
to a new challenge theme at
Double D Challenges
and PART 2 of  our
Flowers of The Month theme!

For this challenge we want to see any flowers
July thru December!
There is an awesome mood board and
a list of flowers to get you inspired!

I have a few different poppy stamp sets and went with one
that I have had for quite some time
JustRite  'Poppies Labels Twenty Nine' which are now out of business.
I have had these in my stash for many years now
about time they made an appearance!

I embossed a Sizzix paper background
that seemed the perfect color for my poppies
then colored the poppies in with Copics.

The little poppies sentiment is stamped on a  
Cheery Lynn Designs Tags 4 which I added a little hemp bow to.

Slimline Trellis Background

This is my card on the Tutti Designs blog today!  

Hello Tutti Fans, today I am using a very pretty and very useful

die for all your slimline cards and it is the 
Slimline Trellis Background,
isn't it pretty!

I die cut from card stock then used the Tulip Corner die
in each corner, cut once from green card stock and then
just the tulip parts in red and paper pieced them on/
What a perfect Spring card for May don't you think?

I cut a couple Scalloped Stitched Ovals for the sentiment and stacked one
on the other.

Bluebird Birthday

 

Hello and welcome to another challenge at
Dies R Us
where our theme is always ANYTHING GOES!

I think I was in the quilting mood this month
since I have used quilting dies for my cards.

I LOVE this pretty die and the beautiful stitching on it
and it die cuts in two pieces allowing you to
die cut in a few different ways.

The die is Impression Obsession Quilted Frame.
I die cute in both pink and white card stock
giving me the reverse colors for another card.
Happy Birthday was stamped on the oval
then I added a barberry die from ScrapMan dies
which was paper pieced for the berries.

I added two of the cutest plump bluebirds
form Poppystamps Whittle die collection 'Whittle Birds'.

Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.  

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Giant Jack-O-Lantern

We are halfway thru our Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge
and this is my card for the reminder to join in with us.
It seems the Halloween season is so short so a good way to
use some of your Halloween stuff ALL year long!

This is our May mood board to give you some inspiration,
though our challenges are always ANYTHING GOES!

I let the bottom left corner inspire me with that big smiling
Jack-O-Lantern!

I used some Glitz Halloween 'What Nots' and a Halloween
greeting from Stampin' Up!
The background paper was in my Halloween scrap bag of papers!

I added a few little polka dot 'candi's' for fun!
So I sure hope you will grab your Halloween supplies

 It's that time again for a new challenge theme at
The Sisterhood of Crafters chosen by our
'sistah'  Annie and it is Stripes and Dots.

I purchased a new stamp set for this for my stripes and dots
and it is Colorado Craft Company Dots and Stripes.

I had to stamp the background several times and it's
a good thing I had my platform to do so to get a complete image
and still managed to make a few errors along the way,
hence the placement of my Roses which BTW are from
Sunny Studio Everything Roses stamp and die set.

The sentiment is an oldie I have had forever in my stamp stash,
stamped on an oval from The Scrapping Cottage.

The little butterfly is a Sue Wilson.
