Spring Is In The Air

Today at Can You Handle The Pressure is a start of a new challenge.
As always it is an ATG with the use of an embossing folder and added
heat embossing if you want.  We also have an optional  'twist' and that is  THINK SPRING!

I used a never before used embossing folder from Darice 'Tulips'.
I embossed a piece of Coredinations Color Core paper
then sanded with a block sander.
The flowers I created with a cottage cutz die Spring Blooms, added a couple of bunnies
in the tulips and a sentiment from SNS Spring Bunny stamp set.

I had a hard time getting a good photo of the embossing folder
but trust me, the tulips are embossed deeply all the way across
.

I hope you will join us at our newest challenge blog
Can You Handle The Pressure and see all the pretty
creations from the Design Teams too

Thinking of You

It's the start of a new challenge theme at The Sisterhood of Crafters
and being hosted by our 'sistah' Debbie!
She has chosen the theme of Favorite Pets!

I couldn't narrow it down to just one pet as we have
6 cats and one dog, so to be fair to them (my babies)
I used both lol!

I did a light Distress Oxide Stormy Sky inky background with a
few stenciled stars.
I added a grassy area and a 'thinking of you' sentiment from
Pretty Pink Posh Simple Sentiments.
The cat and dog are the easiest dies I have used yet from
Cottage Cutz Loyal Pets.

To see more cute and adorable pets head on over to The Sisterhood
and see the cute cards for my 'sistahs'!!

It's Your Birthday

Have a card that I cased from one of my own HERE
and created for a birthday challenge at Less Is More.

I love CAS cards as not only are they easy to do, look fabulous
and are easy to mail!!  Especially since postage has sky rocketed the last few years!

I used an older but pretty stamp from JustRite Poppies.
They were colored in with Tom Bow Markers.
The sentiment is from The Greetery Sentiment Suite Birthday!
I added a few scored lines across the top for texture without adding anything
more to my CAS card!

Thank you for visiting with me today!!

Easter Blessings

I am doing a fun and unique challenge I saw at
Shopping Our Stash with the theme is
You Deserve  A Hand.

The theme kind of threw me for a bit and then I remembered I had
this pretty Praying Hands die from Tutti Designs that hadn't
been used in a few years and thought this was the perfect challenge for it!

I used an old designer paper background from my stash of many papers
and ran a strip of glitter paper down the side.
I haven't been using ribbons on my cards in ages but this one seemed to
call for it, maybe it can be 'hand' delivered!
The sentiment is from Stampendous stamped in Rich Cocoa.

Thanks for visiting with me today!!

Peace On Earth Anything Goes Christmas Challenge

Time for a new challenge at
Peace On Earth
and our theme as always is Anything Goes as long as it is Christmas!
We always have a fun inspiring mood board
that you can use or not and this one has numerous things
to choose from if you so desire!

 Anything Christmas

I normally always try to create my card using something
off the mood board, creating a challenge for me.
I have to say with this one I am guilty of purchasing a new die
just for this challenge!

Cottage Cutz came out with a new Christmas release this year
and this was/is one of them, Christmas Tree Farm Tractor.
I loved it as we just split 90 acres between my two stepsons and one has turned
his into a tree farm.  Or it will be once the trees have grown large enough,
He and my hubby planted over 3000 trees so far and more to plant this year.  So this die reminded me of all the work that was put into
planting his trees.

I have to say this was probably the most 'picky' one of their dies I have used
of theirs yet.  I think even a few bad words were said in the making of this card...bad me!
But some of these are tiny tiny pieces and then just by the picture I had
to figure out what each piece was and where it was going!!
I used scraps of paper and cut it completely out
with six different colors then just picking out what I need for each,
it seemed to be the easiest way to do it,
I just tossed the unused pieces I didn't need.

Take a peek over on the Peace On Earth challenge blog,
it's always fun and inspiring to see what the team creates!!

Shades of Pink

Today at Double D we have a new challenge theme and a new mood board to inspire!
Can you guess what it is?
It's all about PINK, we want to see all your PINK creations!

For my card I used a stencil from Pink Fresh Studio Floral Focus.
This is a 5 part layered stencil, allowing you to achieve so much detail!

The sentiment is an 'enabler alert', no kidding, this is a MUST HAVE
stamp and die from Pink Fresh Studios Perfect Sentiments.
This stamp set has nine sentiments all on ONE stamp
and the die is the same!  You stamp them all at once and then the die fits over to
cut all at once.  I love how well it works with my stenciled card fronts
as it doesn't cover up the stenciled details but yet is big enough to take notice.
I'm not kidding, YOU need this stamp and die!
There is also a hot plate for it if you have a foiling machine, I do and it is on my 'want' list!

So stop on over to the Double D challenge blog and see
all the pretty pink inspiration from our fabulous design team!!

February Love

It's mid month and that means it's time for a new challenge at
Dies R Us!
Our theme for the month of February is Valentines/Love .

Obviously I went with a Love card now that Valentines is a day past us.

The IO floral lace heart was already cut and laying on my work table
so I put it to use!,  I added a plaid designer paper underneath die cut with
Tutti Designs Cross stitch Postage stamp die.
Digging into my Cheapo dies I used the cherry blossom die, cut twice so
I could paper piece in some pink flowers and snipped off the bird
from Cheapo Dies singing Bird.  I want to mention that once the Cheapo
dies are gone in store they won't be back, sadly they have
stopped making dies, so get them while you can, they are very
reasonably priced and make up adorably cute!

The Love sentiment is the larger in the Tutti Design Love word set.
All links are given below.

Thank you for visiting with me today!!

We would love to have you join us at the Dies R Us challenge!!

Take a peek at all the inspiration from the Design Team while there!

For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.

Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!
