Blue and Yellow Flower Challenge

Today is the last day of the challenge at The Flower Challenge and it is
Blue and Yellow to show support for Ukraine. 
I really wanted to join this challenge and had just recently
stenciled some card fronts and one fit the challenge perfectly! 

I used a newly purchased stencil from Pink Fresh Studios
(YEAH, I finally used something new when I first received it, instead of a year later LOL)
The stencil is Garden Florals, such an easy stencil to work with!

I used all Altenew inks and a bit of Nuvo drops.
The sentiment is a strip from Creative Expressions.

A Little Birdie Told Me

A new challenge begins at Can You Handle The Pressure
and our optional twist this time is Things With Wings.
You must use an embossing folder and can add heat embossing if so desired!

I used a The Paper Studio embossing folder with birds, lots of birds!
I added a branch die cut with a Spellbinders die, a little sparkle-y bird
and birdhouse and a computer generated  sentiment! 

The inside of the card says 'it's your birthday'.

Pretty Bluebirds

 It's time for a new challenge theme at 
The Sisterhood of Crafters and being hosted
by our 'sistah' Ina and she has chosen the theme of Layers.

I have to admit I haven't done many layer cards lately
due to the high cost of postage these days,
so I pulled out a pretty paper pad by Heartfelt Creations to see
if I could come up with a 'simpler' layered card!

I used a set I have had in my stash for quite sometime 
the Birds and Blooms collection, everything is pretty much  from that pad.

I used foam pop up dots to lift the layers slightly.

Peace On Earth Anything Christmas

A new challenge starting at Peace On Earth
and as always it is an  
Anything Christmas challenge!

We always have a mood board for inspiration
use it or not, it's up to you!

I always try to let the inspiration/mood boards inspire me,
it just gives a good starting point!

I used a die from Memory Box Christmas Ornaments
and I think this is the first time i have used it!

I cut it twice, once from white card stock and then just the
ornaments from a buffalo plaid, then paper pieced them in.
I place a black die cut bow on top of the holly.

The back panel was embossed with a snowflake embossing folder.

Beach Time

It's Beach Time at Double D, at least that is our theme 
starting today!

We have a fun 'beachy' mood board for inspiration
but you can create anything as long as you follow the 
Beach Time theme!

 BEACH TIME

My biggest problem was deciding 'what' to use as I have quite a nice 
assortment of beach themed dies and stamps to choose from!

I ended up selecting these beach cabana huts from the
Bo Bunny 'Life's A Beach' stamp set.  This fun stamp set had so many options
to choose from, but I let the top middle picture on the mood board inspire me!

This is the first time this stamp set has seen ink and looks like I have
had it since 2017!  About time I used it I think!
I inked up some sand and sky, added a few sea gulls and an anchor and made the huts pretty
colorful with Copics.
Though I live in Michigan, just over the state line and probably about 45 miles
from here in Indiana is Michigan City that has fun beach houses for rent 
in all kinds of pretty colors, that is where I got my idea from to make pretty
colorful houses.  We used to drive by and see them as with all the colors
together, it is quite a site to see.

Nautical Masculine Card

We are at our second challenge for the month of June at 
Dies R Us 
and are continuing on with our Dads/Masculine theme for this month,
a good time to get those 'guy' cards made for when you need them!

 

Being the middle of June I was feeling a bit summery and went with a 
nautical card for my guys!

Four Stitched squares were die cut using Tuttii Designs Stitched Nesting Squares
and one stitched rectangle from Tutti Designs Stitched Rectangles.
A small nautical Impression Obsession icon was placed in each one.
A twine bow was added to finish!
