Whole Lot Of Stitching

 I have another card I make a front for while I was
not at but on my way to the lake house, it's a 5 1/2 hour drive
and these Spellbinder stitch dies are perfect to take along
in the truck (as long as you don't drop your needle in-between
the seats, ask me how I know)!

I used a two ply thread for my stitching.
The greens look different colors but are really the
same, I just used a variegated thread so this is how they
came out.  The sentiment will go on the inside
as I didn't want to cover up any of the pretty stitching.
I have a couple other stitched dies never thinking
they would interest me but they are actually quite
fun and once done you feel like you have accomplished something!

I have since ordered another stitching die for Christmas
they are a bit addicting!

I think it qualifies don't you??!!

Bold Blooms Happy Birthday

 Hello friends, today I am sharing a fun card I made
using some 'new to me dies' that Spellbinders released
in the Spring 'Bold Blooms'!
If you like making easy but pretty flowers, then this is the die for you!
I usually try to take some fun things with me when we go to
 our lake house for a few weeks at a time and normally take all my
stencils and some inks, but this time I squeezed in these dies
and lots of different colors of scrap papers.
I have an old Big shot side kick at the lake house and it works
just fine with these dies!
I am joining the Seize The Birthday challenge and created 'this'
card just for that!

You will be seeing many more cards using these SB Bold Blooms and also
I didn't stop there, I also purchased flower dies from Concord & 9th
Picked Posie  and Pretty Pink Posh Spring Foliage which the little blue flower
next to the happy birthday is from that set!

I didn't load the card up with flowers like some do on this card
but kept it more simple to show off the embossed background a little!!

To Gnome You

Today at The Sisterhood of Crafters
our 'sistah' Lia  is our hostess and she has chosen the theme of
Fairies or Gnomes.

A year or two back I won a wonderful prize from
Pink & Main that was gifted by the Coffee Lovers Blog!
They were most generous that they sent me about 
four stamp and die sets, inks and a stamp cleaner pad!
Needless to say I was thrilled and this was one of those stamp/die sets! 
Hey Gnomie!

I first used Lawn Fawn grass and cloud stencils along with
a few TH Distress and Oxide inks.
I stamped and colored with Copics then used the matching dies
to cut them out for my little gnomie scene!

 It's the start once again of our super fun and most useful challenge at

I embossed my background using a Darice embossing folder
on a teal/ocean blue card stock.
The cute turtle is a stamp/die from Catherine Pooler Ocean Chums
as is the sentiment!

Purple~Blue~Green Color Challenge

A new challenge is starting at
Double D Challenges and it is a colorful one!

The colors are: 

PURPLE - BLUE - GREEN
ALL or ONE

(if using only one, it MUST be the primary color on your project)

As soon as I saw this mood board I knew I had the perfect thing to use for it!
Over a year ago I purchased a Crafters Companion 3D embossing folder
and stencil set, Hummingbird.  This not only embosses deeply but comes with two stencils
to add color to it, how cool is that?  It is a LARGE set though making a slightly
larger then 5x7 card, a little out of my comfort zone as I normally create mostly A2 cards!
That being said, I think I need a few more of these types of EB folders!

After I embossed my 3D panel I used mostly TH inks to color in in
wilted violet~dusty concord~peacock feathers~broken china~
mowed lawn~rustic wilderness and squeezed lemonade in a mix of distress and oxides.
The sentiment is from The Greetery stamped with Memento Grape Jelly.
I also added a few gems from Pretty Pink Posh Party Mix.

Peace On Earth Anything Christmas

New challenge starts on this warm~hot July day at
Peace On Earth and as usual it is an Anything Goes as
long as it is Christmas themed!
We have a mood board below for inspiration
and I let the bottom right corner inspire me.

 Anything Christmas

I made a simple square card using some pretty plaid papers,
and some dies and stamps from Paper sweeties.
I had received free with an order from scrapbook.com a pack of
Pink Fresh Studios Gold Metallic pearls so added a few of those.

Berry Happy Birthday

A new challenge at Dies R Us and our theme is 
Anything Goes as long as you use a die
from a company that DRU carries!

 

For my card I used the fun Lawn Fawn Fruit Basket and Strawberry Patch dies.
These strawberries are so fun to work with as is the basket and I know I will
us them many times more!

For the base of my card I die a yellow gingham using the
Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting rectangles (the largest one in the set of 8)!
The banner was cut with a Spellbinders die (now discontinued).
