Shapes Challenge

Today is a new challenge theme at
The Sisterhood of Crafters and it is SHAPES.
Think circles~squares~tri-angles~and so on.

Several years ago I purchased a set of tri-angle dies from
Neat & Tangled as they had some really inspiring ideas
of how to create with them.  Of course now they are out of business
and I waited so long to use them I now have no idea of what the inspiration was!
Serves me right I guess for not using them as soon as they arrived!!
I even searched their Pinterest and YouTube channels but still nothing popped up
so last resort I went to Pinterest and searched tri-angle cards and went with this design!
The triangles were die cut from 'snippets' of paper from my stash,
I certainly have a boat load of those LOL!!

I used an older Cuttlebug Eb folder Love Tri-Angle
which I think works well with my die cuts!
The sentiment is one from that amazing stamp and die cut from
Pink Fresh Studio!!

Sketch 735

Time for a new sketch at Sketch Saturday and once again we have
a fun and creative one to challenge you!
There is always an added option and it is:
to make a square card

I created my card entirely from die cuts and a stamped image that I pulled
from my craft stash.
Even the paper came out of my 'green' bag of scraps.  I've been trying this year to use up
as much of my things/scraps that are just waiting to be used!

The photo shows the designer paper darker on the bottom, but IRL it
is exactly the same as the top, sometimes photo editing can drive ya nuts!

Hope to see YOUR sketch over at Sketch Saturday.

Happy Birthday Bees

Hello Friends, it is that time again for our
Can You Handle The Pressure embossing folder challenge!
Rules are, you HAVE to use an embossing folder,
wet embossing is okay too but only in addition to an embossing folder!!

We always have an OPTIONAL theme and this time it is
BEES/BEE HIVES.

For my card I used a never been used before
embossing folder of bees and honeycomb from Darice.
I also pulled out a new NBUS stamps set I just absolutely adore
by Pink and Main Floral Wings stamp and die.
This set has not only the floral bee I have used
but a floral butterfly and dragonfly as well, it also has
eight very usable sentiments to go with.
I've given the links so check it out if you want,
it's very pretty!!

After coloring in my image I added a few white dots with a white pen.

Pop on over to Can You Handle The Pressure and see all the fun
designs by the DT, join in with us too as we always have an EB folder
up for grabs to one lucky randomly  drawn winner!!

It was fun to get go through all my balloon stamps, dies and stencils,
though a hard decision of which one to use.
I finally settled on this never been used before Craft Consortium Special day.
It stamps really nice and then was colored in with Copics.
The background paper is from a pad I am trying to use up with jus ta few sheets left
DCWV The Birthday Stack, I am now down to 3 sheets!!
The sentiment is part of the stamp set, it comes with 3 sentiments, a tag, bee
and an extra balloon besides the one I used
.

Peace On Earth Challenge #48

It's time for a new challenge over at Peace On Earth
and we have a very snowy mood board for inspiration
but you can create anything as long as it is Christmas!

This card is not one I would normally do as I am not real fond of using
scenes that are already created
(I prefer to use my stamps, dies and stencils)!
But I save all my Christmas cards we receive and usually make gift
tags from them.  This one though had the most beautiful snowy scene on it
which I felt was perfect for our mood board, I framed it with a negative die cut panel
I had saved figuring it would come in handy some day and today was the day!
I mounted it on navy blue card then added a few silver matte half pearls.  It is very sparkle-y in real life!

Make sure to visit Peace On Earth (we all need a little peace in our lives)
and see all the pretty creations from our teams!

TOB September Mid Month Reminder

We are half way our month for our challenge at
TWO OLD BATS
but you still have a couple weeks to join in.
Keep in mind with 25 or MORE players we have a fun prize to give away!

We have a fun inspiration board but you can create anything as long as
it is Halloween themed!

 Inspiration Board

I let the top right corner inspire me for this card, I thought the Mr. Pumpkin
man was kind of cute!  I used a never been used before Hampton Art Graphic 45
stamp.  The card base is a mere 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 square card.

Hope to see YOU over at TWO OLD BATS!!

Etch A Sketch

It's time for a new challenge theme at a Barrel of Monkeys
where kids toys and /or games are always the theme.
Let the toy inspire you, maybe it's the colors the shape, the shine
ot whatever YOU see to inspire.

This month it is the Etch A Sketch.
Remember those as a kid?  I think we all had one
but have to admit I was never very good at it!

I let the red 'frame' and the 'gray' screen inspire me for my card.
The red frame was already die cut in my mountains of ready to use die cuts
and the flowers are from my already made Spellbinders flower stash!
The sentiment is Sizzix 'hello sunshine' stamp set and first time I have used it,
I liked it's big size to fit in my frame.
The background paper is from my 'snippet's of scrap papers.

We would love to see YOU over at A Barrel of Monkeys
with your interpretation of our challenge!
