Secret Garden

This is my post on the
Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today!

Hello, Diane with you today.
I have a pretty Spring card using one of the images from
the new digital stamps from the Secret Garden collection.

I started by die cutting a two piece birdhouse, then coating both pieces
with Versamark.

White Detail embossing powder was then sprinkled on and heat set.
By adding the embossing powder to the underneath piece,
it helps to cover and adhere the glitter.

Next I coated the underside of the birdhouse with
Brushable Glue, then sprinkled with Exhilarated Neon Glitter.

Then I started assembling the card.
I printed the bird from the Secret Garden set
in a bit of a large size, colored him with Copics,
added Brushable Glue to his wings and sprinkled Sunset Glitter.
To the bottom of bird I also added Brushable Glue
and Energized Neon Glitter.

I cut out a few leaf branches, added the Brushable Glue
and Spirited Green glitter to both the die cut branches
and the branch the bird is sitting on.

I adhered a few flowers I had coated with Lemonade glitter .
Thank you for visiting with me today!

Have A Sweet Day

I have a 'SWEET' card to share today
using an easy, easy cut file from

The file I used is SWEET Big Expression.
The letters were cut on my Cricut in seconds.
The sentiment and SWEET outline I printed on my printer.
I popped my letters up over the word outline
I printed, which I imagine shows more IRL!

I added a few flower sequins for a bit of bling,
a button flower and a bird.

There are other BIG Expressions you can find HERE...
so much fun!

Visit The Cutting Cafe tomorrow (2/07) to see all the different
Big Expressions used by the Design Team!

Just Because

This is my post on the Dies R Us blog today!

I am happy February is here, how about you?
We are getting closer and closer to Spring
which brings us to bright and happy colors!

We don't get lots of sun here in Michigan in the winter
so I have to make my own sunshine by creating pretty
Spring cards!

I started with a white card stock base,
that I embossed lines about 1/4" all around each side.

I used Memory Box Open Studio Stitched Squares on a bright yellow design paper.
A heart was cut from Cheery Lynn Designs Heart To Heart Doily.
(Don't you just love that hearts can be used year round?)

For the flowers, I used my Color Bursts,
then cut them out with PoppyStamps Marcelle Flower.
This die reminded me a lot of a Crocus.
I glittered the stamens yellow.

I finished with a glittered Crafters Companion Fluttering Butterfly
Added a ribbon bow and a sentiment of "Just Because".

Don't forget to visit our 'sister blog' Dies R Us Challenge

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Pretty PINK Hearts at Double 'D' Challenges

Hi all!
Time for a new challenge over at
Team Diane (that's me...lol) heads up this challenge with the theme
Pretty "PINK' Hearts and using the inspiration tile below.

We have stunning (these girls have amazing talent)
Design Team inspiration once again
and you won't want to miss it!
We also have a fabulous prize being offered at random draw
just for entering...pop on over and see what the prize is...
it may be 'little' but it's awesome!

For my card I used this little Cottage Cutz elephant die.
Don't ask me why, but I just can't seem to resist all the
adorable little elephants I see, both in stamps and dies!

Another Christmas present from the hubby was this beautiful
Falling Hearts embossing folder...love it!
I cut it down to about 4 1/2"  as I knew I was going to
just put that little 'ellie' on it and not much more.

The design paper is from Recollections "Love" paper pad.
I was lucky enough to pop into Michael's one morning
and they had marked all the MS products down 50%,
which is where the tiny hearts come from...
a MS Confetti Heart punch.
Now this little die comes with it's own tiny heart,
but I wanted the hearts just a tad bigger.

It seemed rather plain, so I decided to add a sheer ribbon bow.

I hope you have enjoyed my little 'ellie' card...
now head on over to Double 'D' Challenges
and join in with us for your chance to win!

Framed Heart

This is my post at the
Classy Cards 'n Such blog
and for the current challenge using the inspiration board below.

Hi, Diane with you today.
This weeks challenge on the blog is
Love Makes The World Go Around.
We were to use red and/or pink and hearts.
We also have a beautiful inspiration photo
and you can find it by clicking on the current challenge tab.

I made a simple but gorgeous card.
I started by embossing with a new in store
embossing folder by We R Memory Keepers
Bouquet - Next Level
These give a deep beautiful impression.

Next I cut Impression Obsession Rectangles 6 in 1 Frames.
What this means is you get one die, but it cuts six
frames all in one cut.
I used 3 of the 6.

Each was popped up with Joy! Foam Pads Small.

The frames  were cut from Pearlized Esse White Metallic card stock.

I cut a heart using Memory Box Precious Hearts.
The heart was cut with Red Mirricard card stock

I hope you enjoy my card and try one yourself!

Thank you for joining me today!

Snippets~Scraps and More

I have to say today has been a less then productive day!
Do you get those days where you are just 'antsie'
and can't really put your finger on it?
You know those kind of days where you just can't
settle down and do anything.

Well that is the kind of day I am talking about,
except that I can put my finger on it.
I am worried about my Mom and her breast cancer.
She is having bad pain in her back and we both know
it is related to the cancer.
We go on Wed. to get more results.
Oh and on last Monday we were told our much beloved
child/dog has lymphoma .... the beginning of this year really stinks!

So, since I can't seem to settle down to anything,
and do need to work on some design things,
but know my heart is not into it right now,
I decided maybe I could find something that caught my
eye in a challenge.
I saw the Mojo Monday sketch and it looked easy
and wouldn't tax my brain too bad,
So I went with that and also I try to play weekly
over at 'Di's Snippets challenge'
so this was a perfect card to choose to make!

Here is the sketch.

Cute, isn't it?

Here is my card.

I used all scraps for this.
I have clear bags I keep all my bits and pieces of things
I stamp and cut but then don't use
sorted by color and I had this snippet of old SU paper
set aside on my desk to use as it is one I have loved.

So the entire snippets/scrap card was based on that
little piece of paper.

Thanks for visiting!

Hi All...well if you read through all of the above
you will know tonight/today is the release of the new
stamp sets for February at
I have a card to share with you that I
had so much fun making with  the new
Neon Glitters and stamp set
Disco Fever.

I applied a Tear-ific  Adhesive Sheet to
white card stock, peeled off the top layer
then added  Electrified Yellow and
Energized Orange Neon Glitters
to each flower.

I then positioned the flowers
where I wanted them on an
orange card stock that I had also adhered

Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter was then
sprinkled over the entire piece
and burnished using my 'finger' tool.
Isn't it pretty how it allows a slight tint of
color to show through?

I stamped the Disco Fever granny with
and then colored her in with Copics.

I added Sparkle N Soft Swanky Gray for her hair
Sugar Plum Glitter was added to her scarf
and Energized Orange Glitter was added to her boots.

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark
then added Black Detail Embossing Powder.

A few buttons were added to the flowers
for a bit of whimsy!
Now make sure and follow the  hop above
and leave a comment
for your chance to win ALL of the new
February release.
