Thinking Of You

Bleaching~Stamping~Embossing~Paper Piece~Die Cut

Dar from Dar's Crafty Creations asked me once again if I wanted to
join her in a challenge and I said...okay kind of hesitantly as
wasn't sure I would have the time.

I have to say this was really a challenge for me as I am totally cleaning
out my creative room and it is tore up and what I would nicely say
'under construction'.

That being said, nothing is anywhere it should be and all
my stamps are in a big mess waiting to be organized
which will happen once the room is clean!

I have yet to find my water brushes which I needed for this challenge
and had to 'make do.

I will probably give this a shot again at a later date
once I can find my brushes....
I have stuff stacked in the hallway so I can thoroughly clean. (what was I thinking?)

The stamp set used is a very old one from
Stampin UP set 'Itty Bitty Buds"
not sure of the year but it did retire in 2009.
The ink I used is Distress Ink Ripe Persimmon.
The biggest hint I can give you if trying this
is to make sure your ink is totally dry
before moving onto the stamping and
embossing part...oh the clear EB powder I used
is Clear Super
Fine Detail from Ranger.

If you want to know how to do the bleaching technique
CAS Mix Up has a video link on their blog.

Happy Spring

Like I mentioned on Thursday
Dar (Dar's Crafty Creations)asked me to do a couple of challenges
with her and we each pick one,
this is the challenge Dar picked and it is a good one!!

This card took about 10 minutes to make
(it took me longer to decide on what stencil to use).

I used a daffodil stencil that was from Dreamweavers a long time ago
and has never been used.

I stenciled my card with inks from both
Altnew (Marigold~Firefly~Grass Field) and
 Memento Dew Drop Dandelion.

The sentiment is from Stampendous Spring Sentiments.

Make sure to go to Dar's BLOG to see her creation!!

Spring Tulips

Having some fun today testing once again my
CAS skills and decided to join
Addicted to CAS challenge which is TEXTURE.

My card is pretty CAS for sure!

For the texture I used a tiny little embossing folder
I picked up in a set ages ago.
I inked the background first with Oxide ink Abandoned Coral,
then ran it thru my EB folder.

I die cut the tulips from Memory Box Dancing Tulip dies.
I have a love of the delicate looking tulips
but have a hard time growing them here due to the fact the
darn deer eat the bulbs, and the Tulips themselves.

Here is the picture of the little EB folder...cute?

The sweet die cut was laying on my table rejected
from another project and it fit well,
so that finished off my card.

Make sure to visit their challenge as there are amazing designs
from the Design Team, which encouraged me to enter!

Sweet Easter Wishes

My dear friend Dar from Dar's Crafty Creations
asked me if I wanted to join in a few challenges with her for fun,
that I pick one and she picks one
and of course I said yes.

So I chose
The Paper Players

My card uses the down row... ribbon~die cut~pink
AND
the diagonal row... patterned paper~spring~pink

A year (or two) ago I had seen this cute~cute egg die by Poppystamps
and 'just had to have it'...you all know how that is, right?
So I purchased it and of course it has been waiting for it's debut...NBUS
(that's how bad I needed it).

It is an outline die so I cut it twice and paper pieced it..
What really drew me to the die was the big ribbon/bow.
I just think it is so pretty!!
I added a bunny from Frantic Stamper Easter Icons,
also NBUS.
I wonder what that bunny is thinking with
that big egg overpowering him lol!

I sponged Dew Drop New Sprout under the egg.
The sentiment is from an old Flourishes Easter Baskets set.
The paper for the egg is Penny Black.

Make sure to stop back on Saturday when we will have Dar's choice!!

Hello Sunshine

Happy April Fools Day!!

Design Team Member At

Being the 1st of April also brings us to a new
challenge at Dies R Us
and our theme is
'Anything Goes'!

My last order to Dies R Us
had this beautiful
Floral Ball Collage in it....
I have a great love for the 'collage' dies
and this one is no exception.
But, unfortunately this die is no longer in-store.
I do however, have links to numerous
more collage dies below.

There isn't a lot to tell you about this card
as you can see I basically used all the
dies I have linked below.
I did use a tutti nesting circle die cut
from yellow card to use under the
collage die, added designer paper
for the background and added little gems.

We have some exciting news to share with you.  Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Banners Challenge

Happy April Fools Day!!
We are hanging out at the Double D Challenge blog today
with a new mood board and challenge theme
and can you tell below it's all about
BANNERS!!

I was in need of a few more baby cards
so I decided why not make a banner baby card...it's a girlie one...
bet you couldn't tell that could you lol!!

For this card I was able to use a few new things from my stash....
the paper, bunny die and scalloped rectangle die.
I just added three different papers kind of random,
and the edge die under the stripe piece.
I placed my banner over all that and the rest is kind of self explanatory.
I do love the bunny die and have been wanting to use him.

We would love to have you join us for our challenge
and we have a very cool prize to give away.
Head on over to the Double D blog if you will
as there is always plenty of beautiful inspiration there!

Bamboo Screen

This on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi, Diane with you today and I have a fun card using the Tutti Designs
Bamboo Screen.
I stenciled a moon for the background.
stamped a bit of a grassy images underneath the bamboo.

Once the bamboo was die cut, I inked it up with some oxide ink.

I'll be back next month with more FUN Tutti Designs creations!
