Now on to my creation using the new stamp set
'Puppy Girl'.

I wanted to make a 'fallish' card and decided the image reminded me
of a 'walk in the park' on a nice fall day.
That is how the fall leaves came about.

I die cut the leaves, then sponged wild honey distress ink on each.

Using the Nuvo glue pen,
I outlined each crease, then applied Sunset glitter.
I also die cut a tree to use behind the image.

The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink,
then colored with Copics.
Using the Sakura Quickie glue pen on her jeans,
I applied our newest glitter 'Denim'.
I know my granddaughters would love to have a pair of these
'Denim' glitter jeans!

Sunset glitter was also applied to both the girl's hair bow
and the puppy hair bow as well.

Once again using the Nuvo glue pen,
I outlined the leash and applied Reflection Velvet glitter.
this glue pen is fabulous for adding small details of glitter!!

The sentiment was stamped with Versamark
then heat set with Cerulean embossing powder.

Now make sure to visit ALL the designers blogs and leave a comment
for your chance to win the entire release!

Say 'Cheese' Challenge

I am playing in a few more challenges
and came across one called
'Say Cheese'

I had a few of these Photographer Girl digitals I had printed
left over from my Design Team days at
The Shabby Tea Room
(gosh how I miss that challenge)!!

I just love this photographer girl
and used an image last year for my daughter's birthday (Oct.)
and she will get this card this  year.

The little round camera disc is from the same Etsy shop
and says 'Beautiful Life Smile' on it.

The 'say cheese'  sentiment was cut on my Cricut Explore.
(So proud of myself I am 'finally' finding time to use that more)!

The papers are Authentique called Classique Essentials I
 recently purchased from Hobbylobby.
Funny thing about them is that when I got them home
I found I had some of them,
evidently this pad is full of various ones that were previously
in other paper pads, but grouped together as favorites.

The entire purpose of creating this card now
(kind of early for my daughter's birthday)
is to enter in Dragonfly Journeys challenge
which is
'Say cheese'!

Happy Birthday Bear

Still having some fun creating
some things 'just for fun"!

I have been wanting to join in each month
at Cottage Blog for the Cottage Cutz challenges
and this month is is 'Happy Birthday'
You just have to use only Cottage Cutz dies.

I chose Bear & Sign die and made it very girlie!!
I bought this die a year ago January I think and have never used it!

Isn't' she just the sweetest bear??

One of the things I love about these dies,
there might be lots of little pieces, but they are all on one plate
making it impossible for you to lose a die piece
and they are a wonderful way to use up your scrap pieces as well!

I used a couple of scrap card stock pieces for the bear
and a scrap rose print for her tummy!

The sentiment is from an old 2006 SU set called Amazing to Zany
and fit perfectly on the little sign.

I used a Darice confetti background embossing folder and
then layered a pink card stock behind it.
I added a piece of grosgrain ribbon and button to finish!

A Thousand Miles

I was searching for a fun challenge
to post on my blog tomorrow and found the
Outside The Box challenge at Memory Box.
Luckily I looked at the end date as it ends
long before I was going to post it...yikes.

I decided to post it today.....
the challenge is 'YELLOW'
which happens to be a favorite color of mine
AND
it gives me the opportunity to use one of my very favorite
Memory Box dies
Reverse Butterfly Collage.

I LOVE this die!!
It can be used for so many things
sympathy, birthday, friend, get well.....
well, you get the idea!

It is so easy to stamp a sentiment on
and really doesn't need much more.
I love this sentiment it sure rings true doesn't it!
I wish we could all have peace at all times!

I added a yellow design paper underneath
and found a few sequin 'like' flowers
and a few yellow  'candi's' for the centers.
That's pretty much it!

Thanks for visiting me!

A Note From The Beach

After returning from vacation it seems I always
have to try and get myself back into
the 'mood' of creating
and what seems to help me out with that
is to find a fun challenge to get those creative thoughts coming!

I came across the challenge at Impression Obsession
and saw that it was a 'beach theme'
and I don't know about you, but I am far from ready
to let summer go, so this sounded just the perfect thing!!

I created a very clean and simple card using
Impression Obsession shell set dies.
I cut all three from my scrap bags of papers
as well as the embossed back panel
(it reminded me of the beach for some reason).

What you can't see is the 'splatters' behind it all using a
NBUS Tim Holtz spritzer.
I bet I have had that thing at least 2 years or
as least as long as it has been available and
never used it.
It worked pretty neat!

So there  you have it,
my 'A Note From The Beach ' card and an easy mailer at that!

Wherever You Go

New challenge starting today at
Our theme is
Let's Fly Away
Things With Wings/Holiday Destination
and being hosted by our lovely and talented Eileen,
sponsored by Fresh Brewed Designs.

I pulled out an old sentiment stamp from Unity.
One that has never seen ink until now.
Actually it isn't even ink, I used Versamark
and a Sparkle N Sprinkle fine detail black embossing powder.

I also used my Cricut Explore to cut an Eiffel Tower.
I love the detail it has.

The rest just came together with bits and pieces I pulled
from my stash.

Holiday Spirit Tree

This is my post today at the
Tutti Designs blog.

Happy Thursday!

Today's card features a pretty new die
called  'Holiday Spirit Tree'.

This die has so many beautiful cutouts in it
that you can hardly stop looking at it.

I love shiny/glittery Christmas cards
so that is what I am going to show you today!

I started out by using a snowfall embossing folder.
However I didn't want the center embossed
so I used an oval easy folder frame over the outside
of the folder so it would  not emboss the center.

This is what it should look like before you emboss it.
I used a Cuttlebug and the stacking sequence is
Embossing folder with card stock inside,
Easy folder taped on top,
set it on your 'A' plate, with a 'C' plate on top and run it through your machine.
Now every machine performs differently so do not force it!
Just play around it with a bit until it feels  right for YOUR machine.
A tip to make an easy folder is a thin piece of craft foam,
then die cut any shape from it you desire and follow the instructions above.

This is what it should look like when done.

To finish, I cut another piece of card stock about a quarter inch
larger all around, added sticky tape to the edges,
then using my finger, added diamond glitter to the edges.
The embossed piece with the Holiday Spirit Tree was then placed on top.

Thank you for visiting with me today!
'I' will be here each and every Thursday.

Ribbons Challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters

The challenge at
'Ribbons'
and being hosted by our sister 'Anna'.

I made a couple of simple cards
using items from my stash.

The first card was made entirely of things from my
'pink' bag of snippets of things
I had previously made and/or set aside.

I had used a Memory Box stencil and  TH Distressed Ink
'picked raspberry.
The bow was already attached when I pulled the
stenciled card stock from the bag
and the sentiment was just laying in same bag,
so I used it too,
All I had to do was mount it on a piece of pink card stock...easy!

The second card I made a few months back and thought
it was rather 'busy'
so it was set aside, too (I am famous for doing that..lol)
but decided 'what the heck'
I might as well add it to my post.

It was created with a pretty designer paper
and some 3D stickers one of my TSH 'sistahs'
sent me in a RAK package (thanks Terri)!!

So, now pop on over to
The Siterhood blog and check out all the
fabulous creations my 'sistahs' have to show you....

Sugar & Smiles

Well, it seems I couldn't help myself,
I just HAD to make another coffee card for the
CASE-ing DT challenge at
Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog.

Here is once again the card we had to case.

Summer2015CLH-640x430

and here is my card!

I had this red scrap you see sitting in my basket to use.
I had grabbed about 20 pieces from my scrap bags
and put in my basket to try and use up some of my scraps
and this one just reminded me of the 'coffee card" background paper.

On this card I decided to leave a bit of white edge around.
The coffee word and the little cup were cut on my Cricut Explore.
The sentiment (which I think is so dang cute) is once again
from The Greeting Farm set I had won a few years back.
This is my 2nd card for this challenge
and YOU should pop on over and enter yourself for fun!!

On another note, I am leaving tomorrow for another
weeks vacation at our lake house.
My daughter and  her family are joining us there
and I should return sometime on Sunday.
This is my last 'long' vacation this summer,
though we will still take a few 4 day trips this fall.

I will visit you all when I return and I do have a few DT scheduled posts
for this week.

Flower Cart

This is my post on the
Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today.

Happy Sunday!!   Diane with you today
with a gorgeous new stamp set called
Flower Cart.
I love flowers and this stamp set is any
gardeners dream!
Flower Cart
I started out with a pretty simple technique,
stamping the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then coloring in with Copics.
I die cut the image using Spellbinders ' Define Elegance" die.
Once die cut, I added Bubblegum Glitter to the umbrella ruffled edge.
Using a Sakura Glue pen, I added Lady Luck glitter to the leaves.
Flower Cart
Then using Sticker Paper,I adhered the entire piece down.
I hand cut the remainder of the Sticker  Paper away.
Using my 'finger tool', I added Cloud Nine glitter to the exposed
sticker paper.
Flower Cart
The panel was then adhered with Tear-ific Tape 1/4"
to a DCWV Mixed Media burlap paper.
Thank you for visiting with me today!

Granny Smith Apples

Twice a month  (the 7th and the 21st) the designers from
The Cutting Cafe blog get together
with our assigned theme.
This time we were to choose
a Pencil or Apple Treat Cup
or a
Pencil or Apple Shaped card.

I chose some yummy 'Granny Smith' apples for you today!
I had so much fun making these apple shaped cards.

My first apple is made from a fun plaid paper
I picked up while shopping at a scrapbook store
with my visiting friend Dar.
We both left that store with bags of goodies!!

I used a Cheery Lynn Designs French Pastry doily die
(cut in half, the other half is on the apple below)!
A bow was added with ribbon from RRR and a wood owl button was tied on.

The second apple is made from green card stock
that resembles the exact color of a granny smith!
I once again used ribbon from RRR and tied a wood
flower button on.

Make sure and visit
The Cutting Cafe blog on the 21st to see all
of the designers projects.
