Kitchen Dress Card

We have a new challenge theme at The Sisterhood of Crafters
chosen and hosted by our lovely 'sistah' Jennifer.

She has chosen the fun theme of any shape but a rectangle.

I had a card all ready to use when I came across a sale on this
fun and fabulous die
Kitchen Dress A2 Card Maker by Frantic Stamper.
It's one that I have been wanting for quite some time now
and thought it was the perfect time to use it.

I first die cut an inside front and back attached just by letting
the top of the dress hang over the folded card stock.
I used a much lighter weight card stock then normal for that
so it would cut through both sections, it did nicely with a shim.

Then I die cut both front and back and the apron as well
from my 'hoarded' stock of Mintay Farm Life 6 x 6 papers.
The pocket looks a bit crooked but I assure you it's not,
it's just that I have the card leaning up to photograph
as it was being naughty and wouldn't stand up.

I am going to use this card for my sister's birthday as I know
she will appreciate it.

So why not make a shaped card of your own and join in with us....
the 'sistahs' at The Sisterhood have some amazing inspiration for you!!

Slimline Tulip Corner

This is my card on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Today I have another card I created for both
Tutti Designs and the UK Hochanda TV show.
This show was aired live on Oct 27th.

I created another slimline card
which seems to be a bit addictive to me right now!

For this slimline card I used the Tulip Corner die.
This die has so many ways to be used to create
all different kinds of cards, it's a favorite of mine.

I die cut two from a multi color glitter paper,
though it is hard to see the sparkle on it,
trust me, it is very much full of sparkle goodness.

I embossed the background and add a sentiment
but the die did most of the 'work' itself!
Just by turning the die around gives you an entirely different look.

Winter Blues

Hello all!
This is my first card I have created in the last
FIVE weeks do to being sick with a virus for that long.
I want to apologize I haven't been to visit and comment during
that time but not much I could do about it
but I have seen your beautiful work while looking at my Kindle Fire
while bedridden.
That being said, I hope to get back to the 'norm' and visit you all soon...
don't give up on me lol!

It is time again for a new Double D challenge and the theme is
'Winter Blues'.

Not having much mojo after five weeks I made a pretty simple card!
I have had this die in my stash for awhile and decided now
might be a good time to put it to use since my creativeness
seems to have left me for a bit!

I used a snowfall embossing folder for the background .
The die is from Cottage Cutz Birdhouse With Vine.
The sentiment is SEI Winter Song stamp set..

Multi Floral Background

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Happy Tuesday Tutti Fans!

My card was created using one of the most beautiful dies
MULTI FLORAL BACKGROUND.

This card was created for both Tutti Designs and the
UK Hochanda TV show that aire
d on October 27th

I simply die cut from white card stock
then inked a white panel with various inks
and adhered the die cut to that.

The entire panel then was added to a black card base.

At this point I didn't add a sentiment yet so it can be used
for any occasion, but truth be known
I didn't want to cover up any of the beautiful die!

Happy Birthday

It's time for a new challenge theme at
The Sisterhood of Crafters and it is
EMBOSSING.

My friend Dar (and she is also one of the 'sistah's)
gifted me a couple 3D embossing folders for my birthday
and this is one of them.

It embosses so beautifully,
A little hint with the 3D folders is to spritz your card stock
before embossing to prevent cutting into the detail.

I got out some very old Pebbles Cream chalk 'paints'
and colored the embossed image .

I had the die cut banner and the vellum butterfly
already in my stash so added those to the card front.
I think by coloring in the image it takes the embossing folder to a whole new level!

We would love to have you join our challenge and join in with us.
Come visit at The Sisterhood and see all the embossing by my 'sistahs'!

Want some more fun?
Don't forget there is an all new monthly challenge
just for Halloween and you can read about it at
Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge.

Sitting Pretty

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

 Happy Tuesday!

Diane with you today with the cutest kitty cats card!
This card was created for both Tutti Designs and
the Hochanda TV show in the UK
which aired live on October 27th.
I die cut a back drop from a dotted paper
using one of the Cross Stitch Nesting Rectangles.

The die for the kitties is 'Kitty Window'.
It was cut from white then the leaves were
colored in with Copics.

I die cut just the kitties once again from scrap papers
then paper pieced them on the white base.

I adhered it to a pretty white design paper
then carefully cut around the edge for
the background.

To finish I simply added a couple of floss bows and a few flowers!

Pine Cones and/or Pine Trees

We have a fun new challenge theme and a fabulous
new mood board on the
Double D Challenge blog today
and the theme is
PINE TREES AND/OR PINE CONES

I have to tell you,
I created this card with some pretty OLD Stamps and Dies.
Of Course I went with the upper right corner to inspire me
knowing I could somewhat replicate it!

I had a hoop die that was just perfect!
The trees inside are from SU Noble Deer (2004) set
which I think almost everyone must own!

I used Stickles Diamond along the tree line
which seems to be picking up the green color...oh well I kind of like it!

The pine branch and pine cones are from Spellbinders Fall Foliage
and it is the first time I think I have used them (about time too).

So we would love to see your pine creations over at
Double D...come join us!!

Supplies used:
Stamps: SU Noble Deer
Dies: Neat & Tangled Hoop set
Spellbinders Fall Foliage
Paper:  Carta Bella Cabin Fever

Magical Toadstools

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

 Hello Tutti Fans!

Today I have a fun and playful card I created not only for
Tutti Designs but for the Hochanda TV show in the UK
that was live on Oct 27th!

I had a LOT of fun with this card
first  by stenciling my background clouds and grass!
Since the 'slimline' cards are all the new fad right now
I decided to create one using the Magical Toadstool die
by cutting it three times for the base
and three more times in red card stock for the mushroom caps.

I then paper pieced the red caps on then the rest of the
mushrooms and flowers were colored in with Copics.

I added some Nuvo drops to the flower centers,
a few die cut butterflies
and stamped the smile sentiment
which I thought fit these mushroom's perfectly!

Keep good track of the Tutti Designs store,
as soon Tutti will have an entire NEW line of slimline dies!!

Happy Halloween

 An exciting day!
It's our first 'real' monthly challenge at the NEW
Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge!

Of course the theme is always Anything Goes.

I have so much Halloween goodies that this will be a great
way to be able to use them!

With that being said, I did purchase a NEW to me Halloween stamp
only because in earlier years, before my card making
my sister and I had a wonderful crafty thing going
and one of the things I did make were Halloween stuffed
dress forms to sit on your table, so this stamp
brought back those fun fun memories!
She purchased one from me and still has it,
how I wish I would of kept one for myself,
maybe that would make a good winter project...
to make myself one!

Anyhow,  here is my card!

This is one of the projects I did while we were gone to our 'north house
(as I call it) this summer.
I used a lot

of Distress inks on it and am pretty happy how it turned out.

The stamp is from Deep Red and the sentiment is an old SU one!

Now you need to pop on over to Two Old Bats Halloween challenge
and see all the amazing and fun
creations from the Design Team
and join in with us while there!
