haunted House Spooky Window

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hello Tutti Fans!

Last Tuesday on the blog I showed you the new
Spooky Windows die using three of the four windows,
this week I am showcasing the fourth window
making a Haunted House Spooky Window!

I started out by first stacking two of the
Tutti Designs Dotted Nesting Rectangles
one inside the other to give me my window frame.
I added this to my card front in a 'wonky' position
like you would see on a haunted house.
The spider spooky window was placed inside that!

To finish I added two punched bats!

Magical Dragons

Today I have a few kiddie cards I made for maybe a grandson or two.
I saw a challenge at Cardz 4 Guys and it was to use either Dragons or Dinosaurs
on your card.

I purchased this cute little Dragon from one of the Cottage Cutz sales
they had awhile back and thought what a great time to use him.
That being said he has 13 tiny pieces to put him together so since I was
cutting from a few different colors of scraps I decided to make a second
card in the reverse colors.

For the first card I used a stenciled background
and a die cut magical also from Cottage Cutz.

The second card, the background was made from
when I was making other backgrounds with TH inks,
used this piece to clean my brushes and saved it
figuring it would come in handy, and it did!

The clouds were die cut from a piece that I had sprinkled
Lindy's Gang Magical powders on, they have a pretty
sheen to them...magical!!

He sure was a picky die to use and I made a couple mistake
as I had a piece left but oh well !!

Little Owl Treat Box

It's time for a new challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters and the theme is anything BUT a card!

I had to really think about this as I have some really cute dies I could of used but a friend sent me two big Priority boxes of  dies and a few stamps and this cute little fellow was in the box.

It is a Sizzix die which you can also make a fox box with!

I had a little bit of trouble lining him up correctly as he is a bit 'whopper jawed' and I could not see the score lines I needed for the top, but I think it was my choice (color) of paper I chose and will give it a go again!

Spooky Window

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hello Tutti Fans!!

Have you seen the new Tutti Designs Halloween release?
I certainly have a fun one to show you which is perfect
for the new card 'fad' slimline cards!

This is the first slimline card I have made and have to say
I love the way it has turned out!

My card is 8 1/2 x 7 and I cut a slightly smaller topper
from white card stock, then inked with some Oxide Inks
in Halloween-ish colors.

Next, I simply added three of the four Spooky Windows to the front
and stamped a cute sentiment on the bottom.

You can see I didn't use the spider window
but if you come back next Tuesday you will see it
being used in an entirely differently way!

Sending Love

As most of you know I have been gone most of the summer
and other then my DT work didn't get to work on my card making much.

I did however take some things to mess around with
as I couldn't  stand total paper crafting withdrawal!

Some of what I took was to make backgrounds,
stencils~powders~inks and such.

So this card is one of those using a new stencil I purchased
and absolutely love for it's tropical look
(another thing while gone...lots of internet shopping for new 'things')

The stencil is from Pretty Pink Posh
and it is Jungle Background.

I used various inks to stencil it and then the sentiment and die
are both one of my new purchases.

The die is from Pretty Pink Posh and the sentiment is
Pink Fresh Studio 'Simply Sentiment Hello'.

I'll be back with more of my handmade backgrounds
at some point!

It is also my 'loves' birthday today, he is three.

Happy Birthday Mack!

Don't Fence Me In Challenge

Today at Double D Challenges our theme is
Don't Fence Me In,
meaning we want to see a fence on your project!

Just for your fun inspiration we have the mood board below
you give you a few ideas!!

Back when SU released their Jan-June 2020 mini catalog
I saw the cutest card made with a fence that opened
and thought it  represented the upper left corner well.
I had planned on buying the stamp set and so on but of course

as usual, time got away from me.
I decided I would see what I had in my stash to 'case' their card.

My card is a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2, it had to be to fit everything on!
I will list all supplies below.

I started with a brick embossing folder and lucky for me it ran
width wise instead of lengthwise.
I had to emboss it in two parts
then when done I rubbed white ink here and there on it.
I die cut a circle from the center then inked behind it on the card base.
then stamped my sentiment, cut a second circle (one inside the other)
for the ring around the outer side.

Then I just gathered up various stamps and a few already die cuts from my stash.
(cats~grasses~butterfly~and the inner 'trims')

When the gate opens, inside are a few more flowers and a little kitty hiding.

Plenty of fabulous inspiration from the Design Team...
pop on over to Double D and take a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  SU Silhouette Sentiments
Power Poppy Lavender
JustRite Seeds of Summer
Embossing Folder:  the paper Studio Bricks

Tutti Designs Pagoda

This is my post today on the Tutti Designs Blog

Hello Tutti Fans!

Today I have three cards featuring the elegant
PAGODA die!

Each card was simply but uniquely created.

For all three cards I dug in stash of papers to find some that had
an Asian 'feel' to it.

For the first card I added a layered panel down the center
then die cut a circle representing the moon.

The second card I added a 'sentiment' that was computer created.

For the last card, I simply layered card stock, designer papers
then added my butterflies and of course the pagoda!

It's that time again for a new challenge at
Dies R Us and the theme is 'One For The Boys'.

For my card I used the cutest little Stick Pony die cut from
Cheapo Dies and also the Howdy die from Cheapo,
I thought they 'partnered' well together.
I also used Tutti Designs Nesting Rectangles.

I dug in my many papers until I found just what I thought
would be the perfect ones!
They kind of reminded me of a bandanna.

If you are interested in these dies, I would suggest
getting them right away as once they are gone they are gone forever!

BOO!

Today I decided to make a quick card to hopefully
to get the old mojo going!

We have been most if not all gone all summer and I have not been
in my craft room at all and much as I
want to be in here I am having trouble creating anything!

So today I made this quick Halloween card
to send to my great niece.

This card was created for the Joy Of Sets challenge

I went with Star~Black~Stencil.

I die cut my star and inked it with oxide inks then used a small
star stencil over that...pretty simple.

Products Used:
Dies:  Spellbinders Halloween Fence Scene and Shapes
Poppystamps Jumbled BOO, Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Stars
Memory Box Stardust Stencil
Oxide Inks wilted violet, spiced marmalade, carved pumpkin

Autumn Inspiration

The Sisterhood of Crafters has a new challenge starting today
and the theme is Autumn Inspiration.

So hard to believe that it is even time for autumn already!

Once again I dug into my NBUS and pulled out this
old stamp set from SU called Gifts of The Earth.
I think it is somewhere between 2008-2009 and has never seen ink before!

I had a lot of fun coloring this in with a few Copics
on a Sue Wilson die cut Heraldic Square.

I also had fun picking out AND using some of my
designer papers, I really like the hounds tooth print with it.
I am not sure of the sentiment company
but I stamped it with Dew Drop Cottage Ivy ink.

Take a peek over at The Sisterhood and see all the pretty
autumn 'scenery' from my 'sistahs'!!

Flower Family

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today:

Hello Tutti friends!
Today I am featuring the Flower Family die.
This die is perfect for a family members birthday or
just because you want to let them know you are thinking of them!

The flower was die cut from a white card stock
then colored in with markers.
A cross stitch rectangle and oval were cut from the nesting dies
(links given below)
with the flower being centered.

The second card was done pretty much the same
with the difference being scalloped nesting ovals were used
and a glitter butterfly was added.

The third card I added designer paper and two scalloped rectangles
layered.  I turned the flower on it's side for a totally different look.
To finish a few metallic gems were added.

Cup Full of Flowers

Double D has a new challenge theme going and it is
COLORFUL....
meaning we want to see lots and lots of pretty color!!
The mood board below has some fun and colorful inspiration
and you can use about anything as long as it's COLORFUL!!

I created a super bright and very colorful card with a die from
Cottage Cutz ...Spring Teacup. (NBUS)

This die was super fun and I normally die cut all the pieces
(as shown below)
then add each little element, then put it all together...
saves time, well unless a piece flies off into nowhere
never to be found again!

These dies are great for using those little scrap pieces we all
seem to accumulate!

Back To School Dress

Design Team Member At

It's back to school time at Dies R Us Challenges,
at least that is what our theme is,
who knows if back to school will even happen here this year!!

When I was growing up a few weeks before the start of school
my Mom always took us school shopping
and though we didn't get but a couple of outfits each we always
looked forward to it and especially loved picking out our school supplies.
so that is how my card came about....a back to school dress.

I used the Frantic Stamper A2 Card Maker in a different way,
normally the dress IS the card.

After our shopping was done we would stop on the way home at a
local farm and get a bushel of apples.
I thought it would be fun to add a bushel of apples and fall leaves
to my dress using Impression Obsession  Bushel of Apple and
Small Leaves set.

I think I will use this card for a great Fall birthday!

We would love to see YOUR Back To School creations!

Masculine Cards

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today:

Today I am featuring some fun cards that would make great masculine cards.
I have three different cards all using the beautiful Crane die.

Just by adding a few designer papers you can really make a statement
with this beautiful crane die.
These are such beautiful birds and I am fortunate enough to
have one visit  me on a daily basis.

For my first card the crane was cut in a gray card stock
and simply added to an Asian print paper.
The sentiment was computer generated,
somewhat perfect for where life is leading us at this moment!

The next card was even simpler yet, just by cutting the crane from a printed shiny
paper and adhering to a designer paper and adding a sentiment,
I had a completed card.

For the last card I added the fun Bamboo Screen die behind the crane.
I tied a ribbon and added a 4 you sentiment to that.

I hope I have given you a few ideas using these dies,
the crane is such a stately bird and makes the perfect 'guy' card!
