Pine Trees

and I picked the theme of 'TREES'.

I have been in awe of the layering stamps lately
and had purchased this stamp LAST winter
and it's the first time it has seen ink...bad me!!

It is the Hero Arts Color Layering Christmas Tree.
It has 4 layering stamps.
I watched a video by Jennifer McQuire using
this same stamp and followed her technique
which is on the last (4th layer)
you use Versamark and a white embossing powder
to make it look like snow.

I was so intrigued by this that I created a second card
but this time instead of the just the white embossing powder,
I used one that had glitter in it too
which gave it an entirely different look.

The sentiment in both cards are part of the Hero Arts set.
All products used are listed below.

So pop on over to The Sisterhood and feast your eyes
on some super fun 'trees' by my 'sistahs'!!

Stained Glass Cats

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi Tutti Fans, Diane with you today with a very favorite die
'Stained Glass Cat'

For the first card, I die cut it from a black card stock,
then placed it on a sticky back paper,
trimmed around the edge,
sprinkled it with a white fine glitter,
then colored in with my Copics...very fast, very effective!
I also used the Stitched Rectangle underneath.

The second card was created by using various powders and water
to created the effect behind the black cat frame.
to cut the cat frame I placed a sticky back paper on the card stock back so
I could easily adhere it to the powder panel after it dried, then trimmed around the edges.
I added an embossed small panel down the side
and a twine bow.

Yet Another Tag

25 Days of Christmas Tags

I have been whipping out tags for the
25 Days of Christmas Tags and nor hardship here as I LOVE making
my own Christmas tags!!

Did you know that there are already 692 tags entered?
Wow...and that's not all, as there are so far 20 days of designers tags
to inspire as well!
I have been inspired by all the cute animals and trees I have seen...
I visit every day and you should too as the tags are amazing!!

My little scene came from inspiration from the designers at Sunny Studio
both Joyce and Mendi with their scenes.
Sunny Studio has the cutest stamps and dies and I have quite a
'must have' list for them after the holiday!!

The little hedgie is from Lavinia Stamps which is a set of three.
I used just one as he seemed to be looking up at the tree.
The snowballs are from Paper Sweeties Truck Add On -Occasions.

Another Tag

25 Days of Christmas Tags

Another tag for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags
and this one is a 'funny' one!
My tag was inspired by the cute little characters on the tag
made by Annette Allan for Pink & Main on Day 9

I used a stamp I have had forever in my stash with a second
sentiment stamp I stamped on the back that says
'Pecked Just For You'
Now to add to the fun the Christmas wrap has chickens all over it
and it also says Peck The Halls...hahaha..hope she likes it...going to my sister
for our gift exchange I explained HERE

I have plenty more tags to do but it is Day 20 for the tags, so only 5 more days to go...
I had better hurry!!

25 Days Christmas Tags

I have been having fun making my tags
and keeping them relativity simple.

I made this tag for my niece as the gift bag has cute
little teal and red gnomes all over it!

I was inspired by Jeanne Jacha's tag for Reverse Confetti
on Day 5

The gnome stamp is from a new set I purchased
through a special order at Dies R Us called
Scandi Christmas by Creative Expressions
it has 15 images and 2 sentiments.

The snowballs are part of a set by Paper Sweeties
I stamped several of these when I made a previous project
so I could use them for tags.

This tag is being entered into Tracey McNelley's 25 Days of Christmas Tags...
have you checked it out yet?
You should as there are tons of tags be entered
AND
lots of sponsors with their tags and give aways!!

25 Days of Christmas Tags~Tag 2

I know I have mentioned this before
but just a little 'recap'.
My daughter, sister , niece and myself do a 'countdown'
of Christmas every year...I believe this is our 5th or 6th.
We each buy eight gifts for each other (24 total)
then we get together at one of our homes
(I am hosting this year)
with yummy food and open our first gift.
It is to start Dec 1st, but this year our get together is on the 4th
so we are already 4 days behind...or will be.

So, the  point of my story is that my sister and I get really creative with our tags,

This is one of the tags I made for my daughters gift
hoping it looks something like a  Chihuahua since she has three.
She also has a Golden Retriever...quite a combo!!
Pretty simple tag, but FUN!!

I was inspired by Zsofia Molnar's Tag
representing Newton's Nook Day 3...
she used patterned paper on her tag..so cute!

Being it is the 25 Days of Christmas Tags
I am entering it there!

What's Your Christmas Style

It's time for  a new challenge theme at Double D
and it is
What is YOUR Christmas Style?
Traditional, Modern, Elegant, All White, Vintage

We have a fun mood board to give you an idea.
Don't see YOUR style?
That's okay just tell us in your post what it is!

For my card, I chose Country Cabin style....
after all I live in a log home/cabin!

I normally decorated my home in red and white, loving the brightness it gave to the logs,
but last year I started adding black and red buffalo plaid along with the white.
My tree used to be ALL red and white, but now I add all colors.
However this year
I have mixed in the black and white buffalo plaid
and LOVE it!

The plaid you see is one I recently purchased.
Good thing I have the TH platform, as I had to stamp it at least six times to
get the red card stock completely covered.
The size you see on the card front is the actual size of the stamp.
It is from Carta Bella.

The tree dies are Impression Obsession as is the sentiment.
and the cabin is  Poppystamps Winter Cabin..

This is a really fun challenge and it was so FUN to
see all the Design Teams Christmas style,,,
you won't want to miss it so head on over to Double D
and see all the fabulous creations!!

Fluttering Butterflies

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi there, it's Tuesday and I am back with a couple of cards
that are bright and cheerful to lighten your day!

Today I am featuring the Fluttering Butterfly die...so very pretty.
This is one of those dies that has such nice intricate detail
that it pretty much can just 'stand alone' on a card front!

For the first card I did however add an embossed edge on one side
and a scalloped edge on the other.
The die was cut from a multi color paper,
and a sentiment stamped on a Circle Stitched die.
A few pearls were placed om the large butterflies.

The next card was also die cut from a multi color designer paper
then adhered to an embossed background
and a pretty bow added.

Snowflake Collage

Busy busy weekend here, how about you?
Granddaughters baby shower is over and now I can get busy with
getting ready for the holidays...finally!

Anyhow, today I have a card I made for shows I
did this month...made six in all in three colors
which I will show later on.

I used the Poppystamps Seed Snowflake Collage die.
I have been really liking the Collage dies and get a little stuck
on buying them...do you ever do that?
But they make the prettiest cards and are easy mailers too.

I just added a bit of 'sticky paper' under the card stock base and
sprinkled a fine glitter on
then stamped the sentiment (from SU).
