#1 Grandson

Well, today is a sad day of sorts.
It is my last post on the

The blog is closing down for the time being after
5 years of wonderful blog challenges.
The owner Joanne needs a much needed break,
something I am sure we can all understand.
I wish her the very best and want to thank her
from the bottom of my heart for having me on board!

So, the last challenge is  'NUMBERS' and is being sponsored by
and I chose the adorable image

Now before you all go and tell me what a wonderful job of
coloring I did (lol), let me tell you this comes with
a pre-colored image and that is what I used,
beautiful isn't it?
I did however, add green glitter pen
to the dots on the frog and the dragonflies as well.

I had a piece of SU Night of Navy card stock
left on my table from yesterdays post and
thought it to be the perfect base for my card.

I have found that after discovering the Recollections
110# card stock at Michael's (it comes in black, white & cream)
I am neglecting all my pretty SU card stocks,
so it seemed pretty good to use this one!

I embossed a Gable Green card stock
with the cutest 'bumpy'  EB folder from SU
called Decor Dots.
It just reminded me of warts on a frog..lol!

My 'number' sentiment is computer generated .

I added a last piece of gingham ribbon scrap
and a button onto that.

I do hope you will join us for our very last
challenge at Chocolate, Coffee & Cards...see you there!

Fancy and Pink at Chocolate, Coffee & Cards

Did you read my title?
Did you look at my card and say
'Where's the pink'?...lol
Well, for some reason I missed the pink part
and focused on the 'fancy part..lol.
Oh well it happens when you get old,
the old memory 'ain't what it used to be hah!
But hey, her cheeks are pink!

So all that being said, this week at
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards the challenge is of course
Fancy and Pink.
Our sponsor is The Paper Shelter
and I am using one of their images called
Isn't she just the sweetest?

I created her all in lavender, one of my favorite colors lately to work with.

I added glitter to her hair, powder puff and shoes.
Buttons were added along with a few butterflies and a
pretty bow.

Girls of Summer

Hi there all!!
The challenge at Chocolate, Coffee & Cards is
'Girls of Summer'.
Our sponsor didn't come through in time,
so we were able to use any image we wanted from anywhere
as long as it fell within our theme...
now how fun is that?

A long time ago (and I mean a long time) I won some images
from a challenge I did and was able to choose them from
The one I used is called 'Monet's Bike'
but I am not sure if it available anymore.

I colored her in with Copics, adding glitter gel pens to her bike,
hearts and such.

Flower brads were added to the bike wheels and her hat.
(Now these brads are at least 15 years old..lol).

I dug around in my stash and came up with the little felt banner piece
and a label I had already stamped.

The gingham flower was added because after I had my
image all colored and finished, I smeared the black
glitter pen..ugh...and this was the second time I did it
and did not want to color her a third time..lol....

So why not take a 'trip' on over to the
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards blog to get yourself inspired
to add your own version of
'Girls of Summer'?

Shine On

Time for a new challenge at
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards.

The sponsor is
The Stamping Boutique
and the theme is Die Cuts.

I chose their image Lily to work with.
Isn't she just the cutest?

She was colored with Copics,
I even gave her a little 'sunburn'.

Her glasses are very glittery
as I colored them with a purple glitter pen.

I die cut shells from a metallic paper
and a sun from an Impression Obsession die.

The little Star 'shine on' stamp is a 2003 Stampin Up.

A Little Birdie Told Me

Want to play BINGO?
Good, as that is what our challenge at
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards is for the next two weeks.

Our Sponsor is Robyn's Fetish.
We were given a few digitals to choose from

For my bingo, I chose, Buttons~Pattern Paper~~Glitter.
Now, if you can't see my glitter, well I used a glitter pen.
It is on the bird and the outline of the flowers.

I colored the image with Copics
and added a few flower buttons to the flower centers.

A bow I had rejected from a previous card was laying
on my work table and it seemed to be the perfect colors for this card!

I hope you will join us for our 'BINGO' challenge at
go and take a peek at what my fellow 'teamies' have created to inspire "YOU"

Girlie Girlie!!

The next two weeks at Chocolate, Coffee & Cards our challenge is
"Just Us Gals".
Our sponsor is All Dressed Up and I am using the sweet little image

I printed her out then colored her with my Copics and a silver glitter pen.
I just love the way she 'sparkles'!
I then fussy cut her out and placed her on a doily.

The background paper is just a small snippet I had left,
which I love as it has glitter added to it...more sparkle!!

I added a few Roses and die cut my leaves, then covering them with
Versamark and a thick embossing paste.

A butterfly was added which was a gift from another blog teamie and friend Terri.
Isn't that a glamorous butterfly?

The cute sentiment was stamped and I felt it was so perfect
for my
little ballerina!

Now you need to 'pop' on over to the Chocolate, Coffee & Cards blog
to see what the rest of the design team has created....
you just might see a few more 'ballerinas' dancing about!

Hi Cupcake!!

Hi all!!

This week at Chocolate Coffee & Cards our challenge theme is
'Circles and Squares'!
The sponsor is Kenny K Stamps.
For my card I am using Cupcake Celebration Digi stamp.

I decided I hadn't made a shaker card in a while
and thought this image would be fun for a shaker.

I used a circle die for the shaker cut out
and a second one for the outer ring (one inside the other, then cutting).

The squares are the 2 stacked pieces for the sentiment,
which BTW is from an old stamp set I have
without a name on it!

The image was colored with Copics.
What you can't see, if that the 'sprinkles' on the cupcake
are colored in with a glitter pen which adds a bit of 'sparkle".

Also what you can't probably see
is that behind the shaker is an embossed background of cupcakes.
I think this is the first time I have ever used it.

I popped the image up off center to the side of the shaker,
added a few gems for more sparkle
and a tiny twine bow.

Pop on over to the Chocolate, Coffee & Cards blog
to see what the Design Team has created...
join in with us, we would love to have you!

Fairy Pretty

Well, here we go again, time for a new challenge at
The theme is Dots/Stripes and our sponsor is

For my image I chose Fairy Celandine Digital Stamp.
Isn't she just the cutest?

I colored her with Copics and added "Firefly Stickles' to her wings.

Since it has been so cold, dark and dreary here,
I decided to make a 'bright and sparkle-y' card to cheer me up!

I used some polka dot paper from my scrap bag
and a striped piece from a new pad.

The flower, well, it is OLD, I had at one time cut a bunch
of flowers from a glitter felt using a Sizzix die.
The polka dot flower underneath is an oldie as well...
and I used up another brad (which is also striped)....
I guess you can say I am making an effort to use up some of that old stash.

Pop on over to the Chocolate, Coffee and Cards blog and see
what the rest of the DT has to inspire you...
and join in with us...what can be any easier then dots & stripes??

Spring Is In The Air At 'Chocolate, Coffee & Cards"

Happy April Fools Day!!!!!

Well, yesterday was my last post for the
Dies R Us Inspiration blog as a DT member,
but today I have some exciting news as it is my first post

I think I will have lots of fun with the girls there
using mostly digital sponsor images....
speaking of which,
the sponsor for this weeks challenge is Bugaboo Stamps
and the challenge theme is
'Spring Is In The Air'

Bugaboo Stamps

I have used Bugaboo stamps in the past and they are so
adorable, cute and pretty fast to color!
I chose  Spring Elephant 1 to color with my Copics.

I had recently been to Michael's and they were having a sale
on 12 x 12 single sheets of paper, which I normally don't buy
but I saw this cute little lady bug paper and picked it up...
couldn't have been any more perfect for my image!

I added little bits of details to the image,
Wink of Stella pen, a few gems, sequins, dots and a tiny twine bow.

To finish I added a pretty bow using Really Reasonable Ribbon
and a lady bug button.

Now pop on over  to the
and see what the other DT girls have
created...you will see 'total' cuteness there!
