Feminine Challenge

We are back with another challenge at
Can You Handle The Pressure

Wet embossing is permitted but you MUST use an
embossing folder on you project!

Our OPTIONAL theme is FEMINIE.

I pulled out a panel that was already embossed
from an OLD SU Roses embossing folder.
I added a Precious Marieke Rose die cut border
across the top, a punched circle with my
Stampendous True Friends sentiment.
A few gems were added her and there.

At The Sisterhood of Crafters our new challenge theme is
Springtime Designer Paper.
I don't know about you but I love this theme as I certainly have a lot
and I mean a lot of beautiful papers to create with but seem to
always pass them by!

I used this gorgeous paper from Carta Bella Flora No.3,
every sheet in this pack is absolutely gorgeous!
I separated the two papers with a die cut from
Gemini Blossoming Borders and the sentiment is from The Ton Easy Expressions.

It's an easy peasy challenge theme so why not join us over at
The Sisterhood, my 'sistahs' have some beautiful inspiration

Peace On Earth Challenge #62

Time for a new challenge at
Peace On Earth
where we celebrate Christmas year round
making our December holiday so much easier with
numerous cards created during the year !
You can create anything Christmas themed  and we always have a fun
inspiration board for ideas!!

I was inspired by the two right photos and used a Cottage Cutz die
Floral Bucket that I have used once before.  Normally when I die cut the CC dies
I die cut in white and then color in, but the last time I did this I die cut in several colors
which left me with LOTS of colorful leftover pieces which is what
I used to put this bucket together, kind of fun and I actually used some things up! (I still have enough for a couple more sets)

The embossing folder is an oldie but goodie from Darice and
the sentiment stamp and die is Lawn Fawn.

Hope to see you over at Peace On Earth
where you will find lots of beautiful inspiration from the team!!

Sketch Saturday #749

Hello Friends, we have a new sketch for you at
Sketch Saturday with an
Optional Twist:  Use a Trio of Something.

I didn't use the twist on my card this time but knew where
I was going with this card once I saw that half circle.
I die cut a Lawn fawn rainbow 6 times to get the six colors I wanted,
that now leaves me with six more rainbows I can create for later.
I die cut a circle, cut it in half an adhered my rainbow to that.
The raindrops paper scrap was still sitting on my desk from
another project so I used that.  I embossed a Stampin Up cloud EB folder
added, a couple inked scrap strips at the bottom and my The Ton Easy Expressions
sentiment and called it done!

Come on over and join us at Sketch Saturday
and give this sketch a try!

Edited it to add:  This is my last DT project for Sketch Saturday
as I have stepped down.  It's time to ease up a bit!

Fractured Card

Hello friends!  On one of the creative card sites I belonged to
(but have since dropped out of)
they had  several weeks posted about
'fractured' cards.  This is my take on that technique.
You can find many instruction on Youtube on how to create one
if interested.   The papers are all Echo Park,
the flower is created from Spellbinders Bold Blooms and the
sentiment is Stampendous!

I had a lot of fun making this card, you should really
give this technique a try!

Water Related

Hello Friends, we have a new challenge theme at Double D today and
it is WATER RELATED.
We want to see anything that has to do with water!
Below is a mood board for inspiration only.

For my water related card I used a cute never been used before stamp from
Streamside Studios It's Raining Cats and Dogs, colored in with my Olo markers.
The sentiment is from
the same stamp set.. The raindrop paper is LDRS You Are My Sunshine
and I have to say this is an excellent quality paper.  I added a few
The Robins Nest tear drops for rain from the freedom drops bottle.

Make sure to stop on by Double D and see all the
beautiful inspiration from the Design Teams,

Two Old Bats Reminder April 2024

It's halftime (no, not football) at Two Old Bats
and we want to remind you of our yearly on going Halloween challenge
A few more weeks to join in and we have a fun spooky inspiration board!

I didn't really follow the inspiration board this time but went with the month
of April instead to inspire me.
April is usually pretty rainy and wet around here so I
die cut my Cottage Cutz Trick or Treat Ghost and instead of him holding the moon he
comes with, I die cut an umbrella,  All the papers are from my
scrap bag of Halloween papers!

We would love to have YOU join in our Halloween fun at

Beautiful Blossoms Challenge April 2024

A new challenge starts today at Beautiful Blossoms
where your focal point should be all about flowers!
We have this pretty mood board for inspiration
but you can create any card you want as long as it is a floral!!

I was inspired not only by the pretty colors but the lilies as well.
I grabbed my Cottage Cutz Spring Lilies die set
and made some pretty peach lilies.  The background paper is really more 'green'
then what the photo shows and it's a pretty piece from Mintay.
I arranged my flowers on a Spellbinders Hemstitch die cut.
I decided to leave this card sentiment free.
It's really more of a peachy color in real life too!

Come and visit us at Beautiful Blossoms and see all the pretty
inspiration from the design team!!

It's Here It's Here

Hello friends, can you tell by my title that I am super excited my NEW
Wildflower postage stencil is here from Waffle Flower?
As soon as the mail came I opened it up and started making my wildflower
cards!!  I have a few more done but they will show up later down the road
as I am using them for design team cards for the Stencil Fun challenge
and all I can say is that they are gorgeous!!

You ever get those moods where you just don't want to create anymore?
Well I had one of those moods the last few days and I think
it is just better to walk away for awhile.
I did that until my mail came and in it was my wildflower postage stencil
along with a crazy (and I mean crazy) stamp set I had ordered
to use for the hubby's birthday in May!
Nothing like NEW to get you back in the mood to create!!
It put me in the create mood so much that I created EIGHT cards yesterday,
yes eight and my norm is ONE if I'm lucky to even get one done!!

Anyhow, here is my card using the new stencil:

I am now going to have to re-order the postage sentiments as I seem
to have lost a few, they are very tiny!  I think I am totally addicted
to these postage stencils as I now have six different sets
in my collection, each one as awesome as the next!!

Well that's it for me but if you like to stencil and have the postage die
then this is a very easy one to layer, other then adding the tiny sentiments
it took me about 10 minutes to create, of course I had all my inks
laid out and brushes ready to go!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing my excitement!!

Weather Challenge

We have a fun challenge for you at
Can You Handle The Pressure
where an embossing folder is to be used, wet embossing is permitted
but an eb folder MUST be used too!
Our OPTIONAL theme is WEATHER but it's always an
anything goes challenge using a folder!

It was a cloudy day for my weather card!!
I used an OLD SU cloud folder for my Impression Obsession
kite to fly on, I turned it so I could get a top loading card
then used a Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside border die for the bottom.
My little kite flying mouse is Sunny Studio's Harvest Mice,
he  was already colored and die cut leftover from a previous card make,
so I put him to good use!
The sentiment is TPC Studios.

So, get out those embossing folders and make good use of them by

Showers or Flowers Challenge

Hello friends, today is a new challenge theme at
The Sisterhood of Crafters and it is
Flowers/Showers .

As you can see, I went with showers as it gave me
an opportunity to use a few of new new things that are
just sitting patiently waiting to make their debut!!

I used a Casual Friday's rain stencil with  Dew Drop
Summer Sky ink and an Ink & Splatter stencil for the
puddle, same ink!  Then I pulled out a Spellbinders
Duck With Umbrella die, cut all but the duck in white scraps
then colored in with my Olo and Copic markers.
This is a cute die set with lots of other options
to add if you would like, it includes a cute raincoat die too!
The sentiment I thought was perfect from
Stampendous  Spring Sentiments.
I think this little duck is just the cutest!!

Come on over to The Sisterhood and join the 'sistahs' and me
for a fun challenge and check out the beautiful inspiration there too!

which is a year round Christmas challenge and you can create
anything you want as long as it is Christmas themed!

As always we have a pretty mood board for inspiration!

I wish you could see this card in person as it is full of beautiful
glittery goodness!.  I used a Penny Black masterpieces Winter Dream card panel
and coated it with lots of SNS Sparkling Snow glitter.
It was framed with an Impression Obsession frame in black.
The sentiment is Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Sentiments.

Come and have some Christmas fun with us over at
Peace On Earth!!

Sketch Saturday #748

Hello friends and welcome to  new sketch at
Sketch Saturday!!
Our Optional Twist is  Food or Drink

I opted to not go with the twist this time and made a floral card.
The paper is a SU scrap piece leftover from another project
that I adhered to an embossed WeR Memory Keepers base.
I added three Sue Wilson die cut butterflies in place of the
circle on the sketch and added a stamped sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh.
That's it, an easy peasy sketch this time!!

Come and join us at Sketch Saturday and show us YOUR
version of our easy sketch!!

Hello friends, it's time for another monthly challenge at
Simply Clean and Simple
where we want to see your CAS cards!

We have an OPTIONAL theme and it is
WEATHER
but you can create anything as long as it is CAS.

I used for the first time a stamp set I purchased from
one of the Spellbinders Warehouse sales.
Do you ever buy from those, they have the best deals on
awesome 'stuff' that I can't resist!!

Anyhow, the set is Cute Boots.  I also used a stencil from
Cas-ual Fridays Stamps (now sadly out of business)
'Scattered Showers' inked with Dew Drop Summer Sky ink.

Word Power #4

Hello friends, it's  Word Power Challenge #4
where your sentiment takes center stage!
No tiny little one word sentiments are allowed,
we want to see BIG sentiments that draw your eye to it first thing!

I think my card does that with the BIG HI cover plate die I used.
I received this die from scrapbookdotcom free with a purchase
and this is the first time I have used it.
I placed it over a pretty paper from Echo Park's Bee Happy paper pads.
One of my Spellbinders handmade flowers was added.

Come on over to Word Power and join in with us
but make sure to read the rules tab before entering!!

Cute Little Animals

A new theme starts today at our
Double D Challenges
and it is Cute Little Animals!
We have an adorably cute inspiration board for you
but you can use any cute little animal you want!

Being the animal lover I am, I just adore this fun inspiration board.
I pulled out numerous animal stamps and in the end went with
this never been used before Polkadoodles stamp 'Hanging Out'.
It was colored with various Copic and Olo markers, a sentiment from
Pink Fresh Studios, a TH die cut branch and a flower from my stash!

The colors IRL are actually a bit more lighter, it's just my
'editing skills' that make it look darker then it really is!
Come on over to Double D and shows us YOUR cute little animals!!

Triple B April 2024

Hello Friends, it Triple B challenge time with a new
birds~blooms~butterflies
inspiration board, but you can create anything as long as it has
one, two, or all three of the above!

I went with the pink colors for my card though mine is a tad whole lot brighter pink!
there is way more contrast of colors then the photo shows of the upper flower too,
sometimes it is so hard to get the true colors.
I used a combination of an Altenew Vintage Lace embossing folder and stencil set
for this card.  This was a slightly different layered stencil then I am used to,
but once I got going it was pretty easy to figure out.
I also used Altenew inks Razzleberry, Rubellite, Pinkalicious, Pink Diamond,
Firefly and Grass Field.  The sentiment is Easy Expressions from The Ton.

Here is a closeup of the beautiful 3D embossing,
looks kind of like a layered die doesn't it?

Colorful Options April 2024

This month at Colorful Options our color is PASTELS!
You can always do a rainbow color is pastels don't appeal to you!

For my card I used one of my favorite die sets from Pretty Pink Posh Winter Mug
but this time adding the Easter Mug additions.  Once you purchase the mug they have several
add on additions making this mug a very useful and fun die to have!
I die cut my mug and the background paper from The Paper Boutique Bumblebee's Dance
paper pad.  The embossed circle behind the mug came from my 'white' die cut scraps bin.

Hope to see you at Colorful Options with your pretty pastel OR rainbow creation!!

Two Old Bats April 2024

It's time for another year round Halloween challenge at
Two Old Bats
and we have a spooky mood/inspiration for you
but you can create anything as long as it is Halloween themed!

I think you can guess what inspired me LOL.
I pulled out a Cottage Cutz
Black Cat with Jack O' Lantern die and as easy as it looks
it gave me a run for my money as they say.  There was a piece I just could not figure out how to fit on
so ended up not using it, I'll mess with it another time!!
I love the base paper from LDR creative 'haunted Halloween'!
That pretty much takes care of this card!

Hope to see YOU over at Two Old Bats!!

Stencil Fun April 2024

It's Spring/Flower time at Stencil Fun
at least that is our OPTIONAL theme for this month!!
You can create anything though as long as you have used a stencil!

I must of been in a bright/happy mood as both my cards
you might need sunglasses for LOL!

For my first card I used the optional theme of
Spring / Flowers
and used a stencil from Spellbinders Layered Vintage Floral
(first time use)
with all Altenew inks.  The sentiment is TPC Studios.

My second card was created for the 'anything goes'
portion of our challenge using for the first time also
a stencil I have had forever it seems from Clear Scraps
inked with all Dew Drop inks.  The heart balloons
were created with a scrapbookdotcom die I received free
for making a purchase from their store.
The sentiment is Waffle Flower mini sentiments.

We would love to have you join us and have some
 Stencil Fun with us!!

April 2024 Operation

We have a new game/toy at A Barrell of Monkeys
for inspiration.  What do YOU see to inspire you to create?

I see plenty that inspired me, the colors red, yellow and aqua blue
plus the heart and butterflies.  Because it was "operation"
I used a thinking of you sentiment!

Here is my card using Memory Box butterfly heart die, Martha Stewart
punched butterflies, sentiment from Tonic and scrap papers from my stash.
Pretty easy really, I could of gone so many different ways, like the wrench
as I do have a wrench die so it could of been a masculine card, or flowers in the
colors, so many options here, I hope you join us!

So why not head on over to A Barrell of Monkeys and have some
creative fun with us?

Four Seasons April Spring 2024

First of the month brings us to a new challenge at
Four Seasons and we are still into the SPRING months.
We want to see anything that represents SPRING on your project
and have a pretty mood board for Inspiration!

I let the bottom right corner inspire me with the purple colors and the
pretty birds,  This image was so large I had to make not my usual A2,  but an A6 card
to fit it on the card front.
The stamp I have used before so it felt good to ink it up once more
and is from B Line Designs and is Flowers In A Basket.
I colored it in with various Copics and Olo Alcohol markers.
Lots of my Copics have run dry
and I have had no luck with trying to refill so switched to Olo and
really like how smooth they go on, I just need more variety of colors,
all in good time as they say!  The sentiment is from SNS Old Well stamp set
by Becky Muir.  The die cut my image is stamped on is by Tonic, background
gingham paper is from The Paper Boutique and gems from Pink Fresh Studios.

We hope to have YOU join us with some SPRING creations of your own at
Four Seasons
and of course take a peek at all the beautiful designs from our DT!!

Bunnies/Chicks Challenge

At The Sisterhood of Crafters our theme is all about
Bunnies and/or Chicks!!

Every year I am commissioned to create  birthday cards
for my husbands 2nd cousins twice removed (I had to look that up).
These cards were from last year for their 4th birthdays which I have never
had them on my blog before.  They are the cutest little twins!
I made cards this year for their 5th birthdays but never thought to get pictures.
Entering school for the first time they were asked what they wanted to be
and one replied she wanted to be a lion and her sister a mermaid.
So that is what I created, a mermaid and  lion cards
just wish I had remembered to grab some pics!

Though these cards are similar I tried to keep them a bit different
by using different background papers and reversing the butterfly colors.
The dies I used for these were Cottage Cutz Bunnies and Butterflies
which I think has been discontinued but they have plenty of other
cute bunny dies to choose from!!

Sketch Saturday #747

Hello friends we are into our second Sketch Saturday already this month
and have a pretty easy sketch this time around.
as always there is an Optional Twist and it is  Black & White

I 'kind of~sort of' went with the black and white option adding die cut
stitched banner strips from Pretty pink Posh.  I use these strips A LOT
but not normally these thin ones, so they worked perfectly for this sketch!
The sentiment piece is from Spellbinders and the sentiment itself is
from The Greetery.  The colorful flowers are from my already made stash of flowers.

We would LOVE to see YOUR take on our sketch over at
Sketch Saturday!!

Birds Challenge

 Hello friends, today at
Can You Handle The Pressure
we have a new OPTIONAL theme of
BIRDS!
You MUST use an embossing folder and don't
have to follow the theme if you prefer!

My embossing folder is an oldie from SU/Sizzix,
sorry don't know the name of it.  The cute little birdhouse
and birdie are Cottage Cutz Birdhouse & Vine.
The die cut sentiment is a Sue Wilson
A Little Birdie Told Me, it also has an inside die cut
that says 'it's your birthday'.

Thank for visiting and hope to see YOU over at
Can You Handle The Pressure!!

Double D Challenge

Hello friends, it's that time again for another challenge at
Double D and we are seeing GREEN!

We want to see LOTS green on your creations and have a fun mood board
for inspiration!!

I was inspired by all the shamrocks and sad but true purchased this
Colorado Craft stamp set OVER a year ago and this is the FIRST time
I have pulled it out and used it, what is wrong with me!!!

For my background I stenciled a 'partial' clover heart from
Trinity Stamps with TH Distress Oxide Twisted Citron,
it actually isn't quite as bright as the photo shows.
The cute mouse and shamrocks were die cut with the matching
die for the set and the sentiment is the from the same set, inside it
says ...hard to find and lucky to have!

I know it's past St Patrick's Day but you don't have to make
a card for that, just do as I did and make it an any occasion card
and use plenty of green!
See ya at Double D!!

Peace On Earth Challenge #60

Hello friends, welcome to our second challenge this month at
Peace On Earth where anything goes as long as it is Christmas themed!
I hope you are joining in as you will be that far ahead once December rolls around
and we all know how busy that month will be.

We always have an inspiration board for your pleasure
and this one is full of the jolly 'old' guy!!

I came up with a rather vintage card and am not sure whose the stamp is,
but is surely one I love.  I just colored in a bit of his face and hands and let the
rest as is.  I stamped him with TPC Studio's Clearly Better Chocolate ink
which is formulated for clear stamps, it does a great job!
The pretty paper is Paper Craft Box Christmas Tale
and the sentiment is Hero Arts Christmas Message's
stamped with Dew Drop Galaxy Gold

Stop on over at Peace On Earth for plenty of beautiful inspiration
and join in with us while there!!
