Projects In The Making~My Favorite Tool Today~Visitors~SNOW~

Took a bit of a break form my creative room "cleaning" to work on these cute little mini albums...I got the great "tip" for these from my friend  Mary over at "primitive seasons".....there is a youtube video of these using the Sizzix die flower Petal.....mine are ready to have the inserts and the embellishments...I'll post the finished ones later this week (hopefully)...but look at that yummy TH paper......shabby vintage...Oh, how I love it!!  My favorite "tool" today is my Zutter Bind-it All....oh my how I am so in love with it.....a pull of the handle and I have these mini's...love at first pull!!!
I wanted to share my 5 visitors with you...these 5 mallards arrived a few days ago...gone now as the creek is frozen...poor fellows...wonder where they are headed???

Also, I think someone "forgot" to turn off the "snow machine".....it snows and snows and snows...and we have it predicted for everyday this week thru Sunday......it was so stinkin cold this weekend .....way beyond nuts!!  But we are to have a warm up today of about 28.....we'll see....well thats it for today.......back to that "crazy room" to keep on digging out!

Guess Whooooo Loves You

I have been really~really busy redoing my creative room.....I figure at least 2 more weeks and I will have it done!  It's been a long process of sorting and giving things up~I have so many "crafty" interests and I swear once you get rid of something, you find you may need it again!! That is why my poor blog has been neglected, but I did get a new (to me) Cricut cartridge at Michael's~marked down to $9.99~I just couldn't wait and had to "cut" something!  I choose this cute little owl......but look at that envelope.....itsn't it just the cutest??  I used my "wood" embossing folder on the tree~makes it look so "real"!  I added a "bit" of velcro to close it up...works perfect!  Just a sweet little Valentine for a little one....I'll be back with more...I promise!

Once I get my room cleaned up~organized~sorted out~I will take a few photos of it for you all to see.....I lastly have to make my curtains and table skirts (remember, I showed the fabric LAST YEAR).....this is the year to get busy for me....I have been inspired by my blog surfing.....we made a trip to the Goodwill on Saturday.....my little crossover was packed to the brim...I took a deep breath and just let it go...sigh!!!

Birthday Wishes & a Few Fun Photo's

This is the card I made for a granddaughter's 3rd birthday...I used my ever wonderful Cricut.....think I might make a few more of these.

Next is a photo of what we call "Lake Effect" snow here in Michigan...we live in the snowbelt of  Lake Michigan....we ALWAYS get it.....though that being said....it all depends on which way the wind is blowing how much we get......we were a bit lucky we only got a foot...10 miles south, they had about 3 feet......this pic was taken thru my window and the "blurr" of the pic is the heavy snow coming down.....we have a break from it today...then its to snow all week again...sigh!!   Click on the photo and you can see it "coming down'!!

Then I have a few "family members" to share with you......Nellie having "quiet time" in front of the fireplace.....the "sisters" squeezed into their bed together...and Soot also enjoying a "bath" in front of the fire...see ya later!

Thank you Emily

Emily at "emmiesramblings" has given me a nice award......I am to nominate a few people and tell 5 things about myself .....how scarey is that as I hate talking about "Me"...LOL!

1.  I love to read....give me a good book  and I can get lost in it!
2.  I love to do jigsaw puzzles...though it annoys my hubby...I think he thinks its a waste of time.
3.  I have my own John Deere....well it might be a Gator, but its like my best friend when it comes to      gardening!
4.  My favorite TV show is Criminal Minds...those guys are "fab".
5.  I am addicted to "keno"....lol.....but I don't play it much!

There thats it.......boring as it (or me) may be!   Here are my nominees:
1.  Rhonda
2.  Mary
3. Curt      give them all visit!!

Happy Birthday

Love how this card turned out........I received a wonderful bag of ribbons from Kim Hughes (thank you Kim!) and in it was this yummy yellow ribbon, perfect for the card I was working on.......I used a few "scraps"from that bottomless scrap drawer...another card for my friend to "peddle" at the court house!

Using My New Copics~Be Gentle!!

One of the wonderful gifts I received this Christmas was a set of Copics.....trouble is, I don't have any colors to "blend" with...I asked for a set, never even thinking about the Copic family of colors I would need to blend...but that's okay....I can now add to them myself a little at a time!  I did however have a few (6) before I received the set of 12, so I had a few to work with...this is only my second "attempt" at using Copics...so be kind...lol!  All stamps used are Stampin' Up!........

First Cards of the Year 2011

I am posting a few quick cards I made...these will go with my friend to her place of work to sell...they only sell for $2...so are reallly quite simple........I  have not been creating anything for so long, I feel as if I am starting all over......I have tons of new goodies to use...just no creative juices...I sit down at my table and cannot figure out what I want to do....I hope that changes soon...maybe I should find a few challenges to do...any ideas??  I used my new Tim Holtz Rosette die....has anyone used one of these yet??  I had a heck of a time getting it to not break as it cut all the way thru on the die...I went thru 3 12 x 12 papers just to get about 4 rosettes that were "semi" useable......if anyone has any tips I would appreciate it...I tried all kinds of things, none of which worked....but when I finally got one to work out of about 12, it was beautiful!  Also on the same card, the jewels that look royal blue are really the color of the rosette...teal....for some reason my camera changed the color on them........
