Me and You

Just doing a fun challenge today at Poppystamps
that ends soon as I saw the theme was
Me & You
and only requirement was to use ONE Poppystamps die.

I used the Roundabout Heart.
I have always loved their dies that cut into the card
which makes them great for making shaker cards or
adding a pretty design like I did on this card.
I also love the fact that they are made in the USA!!

I kept the card pretty CAS by just adding a sentiment from an OLD Flourishes
stamp set that seemed to be perfect!

Now back to my regular scheduling programing TEEHEE!!

Sketch 720

Time for a NEW sketch at Sketch Saturday with an optional 'twist'
of 'add an animal'!!

I used a Frantic Stamper die cut, cut apart to get my framework and stamped
with a cloud 9 sentiment.  The dog die cuts are also a Frantic Stamper die
and a little die cut greenery flourish!

The background was embossed with a Darice paw print EB folder!
Pretty simple and fun sketch and hope to see YOU over at
Sketch Saturday!

Things With Wings

Can You Handle The Pressure has a new challenge
starting today and the 'optional' theme is
Things With Wings.
You can create anything  though as it is just that, an option
but you MUST use an embossing folder
after all that is what our challenge is all about!

For my embossing folder I chose a Sizzix Susan's Garden Laurel Wreath.
I added my 'wings' using a Cottage Cutz die Garden Bird
making a pretty Spring card, and I sure AM ready for Spring to arrive
which isn't far off, March 19th I believe.

So, get those embossing folders out and join us in our fun at
Can You Handle The Pressure!!

Coffee Helps

Took some time off from creating DT cards and decided
to join in a fun challenge I haven't entered in quite some time.
It is Memory Box and the theme is
I'll Drink To That

The only requirements are that you use at least ONE Memory Box die
and I have used TWO as well as a Poppystamps die.
The sentiment is one I received from a friend.

The Memory Box dies I used are Stitched Lattice background.
I chose this die as it reminded of a nice white linen tablecloth
for my cup.  I also used a 2015 Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers die,
I think this is one of the first stitched dies I ever purchased.

For my drink I used a Poppystamps Morning Cup that I paper
pieced in.

I am also entering this card into the Snippets Challenge #448
and these are the snippets I have used.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!!

Happy Birthday Floral

Our challenge theme at The Sisterhood of Crafters  is
DOTS AND/OR STRIPES.

I was going to use both but ended up just using some 'dots' for my card!
This pretty dots paper came from an almost used up (yay) pad of
Doodlebug Hello Sunshine paper pad.
It sure makes you feel good when a paper pad is almost gone
especially if you are like me and have oodles of them!!

The flowers were created using Concord & 9th Picked Posie dies.
The grosgrain ribbon is a die by Memory Box.
This is fabulous die, it comes in 3 widths and looks
just like real ribbon.
The sentiment is from The Greetery.

Make sure to stop on by The Sisterhood and see all the 'pretties'
created by my 'sistahs'!!

Peace On earth #34

A new challenge begins today at Peace On Earth
and we have an inspiration board to help you get creative,
but it's just that, for inspiration, you can create anything as
long as it is Christmas themed!

I let the bottom left corner inspire me which the red and white
Christmas tree.  I stamped an old (and I mean OLD) Martha Stewart
stamp with Versamark then embossed with SNS Apple Red embossing powder.
The sentiment was then stamped with red ink.

Pretty easy card letting the stamp and embossing do all the work!
Won't YOU join us at Peace On Earth,
it sure helps to get ahead on your holiday cards!!

Pink and Yellow Florals

The second challenge for Beautiful Blossoms is up and running and it is full
of beautiful florals from the design team making me yearn for Spring to get here!

Here is our pretty mood board for inspiration.
It's all about a pretty mix of yellows and pinks...YUM!!

I used a new, never been used before stamp and stencil set I purchased from
Honey Bee stamps.  I can't wait to make more of these as they were so EASY!!
I think my next ones will be embossed with gold embossing powder to give it more shine!

You stamp the image first then there is a set of five stencils to use
or if you prefer you can also just color it in.
I used the stencils and the placement was the easiest thing ever!
With blending brushes I used all Distress inks:
Spun Sugar~Squeezed Lemonade~Kitsch Flamingo~Mustard Seed~Shabby Shutters
I did use gold SNS embossing powder for the sentiment which is part of the stamp set,
in fact it comes with a LOT of different sentiments.
OH, I forgot to mention, the name of the stamp set is Hello Sweetheart!
I also added some gold gems from Pink Fresh Studio.
I know it makes it harder to mail, but I just can't resist those things!!

To see a lot of floral beauty be sure to pop on over to the
Beautiful Blossoms challenge blog to see all the pretty inspiration!!

Birds Challenge

Our challenge at Double D is all about BIRDS!
We have a fun inspiration board but you can create anything
as long as it has a bird on it!

I think this is the first time I didn't use the mood board for inspiration
but rather followed just  the theme!

I had purchased this silly goose stamp last year and felt compelled to use it!
Not sure WHY I bought it except it brought memories of my Dad and his pet goose.
That goose he had was awful!!  It was an attack goose and every time you pulled up into
the drive it was there johnny on the spot to attack!  You had to get out of your car
and make a run for it to the house and hope you could outrun him lol!
My Mom hated that goose and when my Dad passed away that was the first thing
she got rid of!  He would of loved this card!!

Anyhow, the stamp is a Woodware Fuzzy Friends Stamped on a Tonic die.  It's kind of large so
I made a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 square card.  The camera didn't pick it up, but
there is some light gray shading around each goose body.

The design team has created awesome cards for inspiration
so make sure to take a trip to Double D and check them out!

TOB February Mid Month Reminder

We are half way through our challenge at
Two Old Bats so you still have time to join us!
Below is our fabulous inspiration board but it's
just that, for inspiration, you can created anything as
long as it is Halloween themed!

I once again used my neglected Cricut and Design Space
for my card using the fun heart ghost!

I already had a bunch of the die cut Impression Obsession frames
in my stash so I used one of those to place him in.
The sentiment is computer generated and die cut with a
Honey Bee sentiment strip die.
The bowtie was cut from a spellbinders die set.

So, if YOU want to have some fun, join in with us at
Two Old Bats,
we always have a prize to award if we have 25 or more players!!

Sketch 719

A new sketch is starting today at Sketch Saturday and it is a fun one!
There is also an optional twist and it is to 'add an old stamp'.

I pretty much followed the sketch AND added the twist!
A long while back I had pulled a bunch of papers I wanted to use
and the one I used for my background was one of them!
I used a SU punch to add the scallops at the bottom.
The tulip stamp is one from my friend that purged her craft room
and this came from her (first time I have used it), a 1997 Hero Arts stamp that I stamped on a SB Blossoms
die and colored in with Copics!
The bits of diagonal pieces showing are from my scrap bags.
I added a little twine bow and a die cut watering can!

This sketch challenge gives me an opportunity to stretch my skills
a bit and hope it inspires you to do so as well!

Happy Valentine's Day

Hello All, it's once again time for  a new challenge at
Can You Handle The Pressure
where the challenge is all about using your embossing folders!!

We have an OPTIONAL theme which is HEARTS
but you can create anything as long as you have used an
embossing folder!

For my card I used a WeR Memories 3D Hearts  folder.
I love the look of a 3D folder, it is so detailed!

I also used a never before been used die by Sizzix Heart Tag.
The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Love Shack set.

Just For You

Hello and Happy February!
February seems to make us all think of hearts
letting us get all our fun and pretty heart stamps, dies and papers out!
Not that you CAN"T use hearts year round, it just seems that February is
HEART month which is our theme at
The Sisterhood of Crafters
HEARTS!

I had a lot of fun making this pretty card after I saw
some great inspiration for Valentine tutorials on the
Spellbinders blog HERE!
If you scroll on down you will see what inspired me.
It seems I have needed LOTS of inspiration lately,
good thing there is a lot of it out there!

I used one of my last floral dies I had purchased
'Bold Blooms',   along with a few others, it's been awhile, maybe I need some new floral dies
soon, not a hardship, right?

I used a 3D embossing folder of hearts that came with my new Sizzix Switch
that my hubby got me for Christmas 2022.  I love how pretty those
hearts are and how they seem to 'pop' up!
The flowers are a mixture of die flowers I already had created,
some are Spellbinders Bold Blooms and some are
Pretty Pink Posh Spring Foliage dies.
The banner the stamped sentiment is on is one of MY very favorite
banner dies I have.  I think it is a 'must' have for any paper crafter
as the banners are in the smallest size up to a large one, so very useful
for many one line sentiments!!  It is from Honey Bee..

You can tell by the picture what a great variety of sizes you get,
but this picture is not true to size, just giving you an
idea of what they look like! I used the second one up from the bottom for my card!

So, why not pop on over to The Sisterhood and see all our
creatively pretty hearts from my 'sistahs'!!

All My Love

This month we are into HEARTS as our optional challenge theme at
Stencil Fun (Crazy Is Our Fame, Stencils Are Our Game)
and I have a card I created with a Memory Box
Hearts Heart Confetti stencil using Simon Says
Pawsitively Bubblegum and Sweets inks.

I also used an embossed piece of vellum that was sent to me
along with a birthday card that I saved to put to use!
My Altenew sentiment was stamped on a Honey Bee Banner.
The banner die set is one of my favorites to use for sentiments,
so many sizes are included and it works perfectly with the
skinnier sentiments!

For my 'anything goes' stencil card I used a beautiful
stencil from Pink Fresh Studio called Delicate Floral.

So get those stencils out and join us at Stencil Fun and make sure
to visit the blog for even more inspiration!!

Peace On Earth #33

We are already into February and our
Peace On Earth challenge has a fun Christmas mood board
suited perfectly for the month.
You can be inspired by it or you can create anything as long
as it is Christmas themed!

As always I let the mood board inspire me with all the pretty
decorative hearts!

I used a never been used before Altenew stamp and die set
Peace Love Joy, it comes with with two other images but the heart
one was perfect for not only the mood board but the month of February as well!

I also used a Twisted Crepe die from The Greetery to hang my heart from.
The bow was part of a wreath die cut.

If you would like to get ahead this year on your holiday cards then

and at least come and feast your eyes on all the pretty inspiration
from the Design Teams!!

Pink Color Challenge

This month for February at Colorful Options we are all about PINK!
Don't want to create with pink ?  Then you have the 'option' of creating a rainbow project.

I used a 3D Sizzix Stampin Up 'Ruffled" embossing folder
and though I have had it quite some time in my stash this is the
first time I pulled it out and used it!

The watering can of tulips is from Cottage Cutz Watering Can, Tulips
that I die cut all in white and colored with Copics.
The sentiment is from an old My Daily Bread stamp set.

Lots of inspiration to be had at Colorful Options
and we would love to have YOU join us!!

TOB February 2023 Challenge

We are already into February and that brings us to a
new challenge for the month at Two Old Bats!
We have a fun mood board that seems to fit the month perfectly.
You can let it inspire you OR  create anything you want
as long as it is Halloween themed!

This challenge all year long allows you to get more time

and more use of all your Halloween supplies, not just ONE month a year!

Of course being February, I DID let the mood board inspire me!

I told myself that this year I am going to use my poor and very neglected Cricut
at least once a week to create something and that is where my pumpkin
die cut came from.  It is amazing what a HUGE library of things Cricut has
to offer if you belong to their Design Space images!

The added red hearts you see here and there are part of the cut design.
I added a banner sentiment and a few green sequins for some shine!
I added the bats in a few white places on the pumpkin to make it more 'Halloween-ish'!

We would LOVE to have YOU join in our fun at Two Old Bats!!

Four Seasons February Winter

We are in our third and last season of Winter for now anyhow
at Four Seasons, sure seems to go by quickly doesn't it?

Once again we have a mood board for inspiration,
but it is just that, inspiration only,
you can make anything you want as long as it is WINTER themed!!

Can you tell what inspired me?
I had this cute stamp set I received last summer when a friend of mine
gave me bags and bags of stamps she didn't want anymore.

It's a set from Taylored Expressions called Love Shack.
It reminded me so much of the little house in the bottom left corner
that I had to pull it out and use it!
I stamped it on a snowy embossed background panel
(TH Snowfall EB folder).
I colored it in slightly with Copics then spattered a watered down glue
and coated with SNS Cloud Nine glitter.
The sentiment is from Pretty Pink Posh.
I think I'll send this to my grandson and his wife that JUST
moved into a new home.

Take a visit at Four Seasons and see all the beautiful
designs from the team!

Hearts Challenge

It's time for a new challenge at Double D and our theme is
HEARTS!

It doesn't have to be a Valentine, you just need to have a heart
somewhere on your project!

We have a cute and fun mood board just for that bit of inspiration!

Where do you get your inspiration when the ole' mojo is taking a nap?
My go to place is usually Pinterest where exactly is where I found my card
inspiration HERE!

I changed mine slightly where she used heart balloon dies I used my
favorite die stems from Impression Obession, MFT  Rectangle Peek A Boo Window,
and the Love word from Tutti Designs
!

A simple easy to mail card, I like that!
