Bunnies/Chicks Challenge

At The Sisterhood of Crafters our theme is all about
Bunnies and/or Chicks!!

Every year I am commissioned to create  birthday cards
for my husbands 2nd cousins twice removed (I had to look that up).
These cards were from last year for their 4th birthdays which I have never
had them on my blog before.  They are the cutest little twins!
I made cards this year for their 5th birthdays but never thought to get pictures.
Entering school for the first time they were asked what they wanted to be
and one replied she wanted to be a lion and her sister a mermaid.
So that is what I created, a mermaid and  lion cards
just wish I had remembered to grab some pics!

Though these cards are similar I tried to keep them a bit different
by using different background papers and reversing the butterfly colors.
The dies I used for these were Cottage Cutz Bunnies and Butterflies
which I think has been discontinued but they have plenty of other
cute bunny dies to choose from!!

Sketch Saturday #747

Hello friends we are into our second Sketch Saturday already this month
and have a pretty easy sketch this time around.
as always there is an Optional Twist and it is  Black & White

I 'kind of~sort of' went with the black and white option adding die cut
stitched banner strips from Pretty pink Posh.  I use these strips A LOT
but not normally these thin ones, so they worked perfectly for this sketch!
The sentiment piece is from Spellbinders and the sentiment itself is
from The Greetery.  The colorful flowers are from my already made stash of flowers.

We would LOVE to see YOUR take on our sketch over at
Sketch Saturday!!

Birds Challenge

 Hello friends, today at
Can You Handle The Pressure
we have a new OPTIONAL theme of
BIRDS!
You MUST use an embossing folder and don't
have to follow the theme if you prefer!

My embossing folder is an oldie from SU/Sizzix,
sorry don't know the name of it.  The cute little birdhouse
and birdie are Cottage Cutz Birdhouse & Vine.
The die cut sentiment is a Sue Wilson
A Little Birdie Told Me, it also has an inside die cut
that says 'it's your birthday'.

Thank for visiting and hope to see YOU over at
Can You Handle The Pressure!!

Double D Challenge

Hello friends, it's that time again for another challenge at
Double D and we are seeing GREEN!

We want to see LOTS green on your creations and have a fun mood board
for inspiration!!

I was inspired by all the shamrocks and sad but true purchased this
Colorado Craft stamp set OVER a year ago and this is the FIRST time
I have pulled it out and used it, what is wrong with me!!!

For my background I stenciled a 'partial' clover heart from
Trinity Stamps with TH Distress Oxide Twisted Citron,
it actually isn't quite as bright as the photo shows.
The cute mouse and shamrocks were die cut with the matching
die for the set and the sentiment is the from the same set, inside it
says ...hard to find and lucky to have!

I know it's past St Patrick's Day but you don't have to make
a card for that, just do as I did and make it an any occasion card
and use plenty of green!
See ya at Double D!!

Peace On Earth Challenge #60

Hello friends, welcome to our second challenge this month at
Peace On Earth where anything goes as long as it is Christmas themed!
I hope you are joining in as you will be that far ahead once December rolls around
and we all know how busy that month will be.

We always have an inspiration board for your pleasure
and this one is full of the jolly 'old' guy!!

I came up with a rather vintage card and am not sure whose the stamp is,
but is surely one I love.  I just colored in a bit of his face and hands and let the
rest as is.  I stamped him with TPC Studio's Clearly Better Chocolate ink
which is formulated for clear stamps, it does a great job!
The pretty paper is Paper Craft Box Christmas Tale
and the sentiment is Hero Arts Christmas Message's
stamped with Dew Drop Galaxy Gold

Stop on over at Peace On Earth for plenty of beautiful inspiration
and join in with us while there!!

I once again let all that bright neon green inspire me.
I used a Brutus Monroe Halloween paper
die cut with a wonky rectangle die by Cottage Cutz
I added a fun creepy crawly spider from Cheery Lynn Designs
and gave him some google-y eyes, the better to see you with!
The sentiment is from a package of purchased sentiment strips.

Won't you join us at Two Old Bats?
Lots of fun inspiration there!!

Beautiful Blossoms Challenge March 2024

Hello friends, it's a new monthly challenge starting today at
Beautiful Blossoms and we have a pretty floral mood board for inspiration.
You can choose to go with the colors on the board or you can create
anything as long as your main focus is FLOWERS!!

I was inspired by the pansies and knew I had this pansy stamp from
Class Act Inc. that has never seen ink and I bought it years and years ago,
so long ago I am surprised I remembered I even had it LOL!!
I stamped it on water color paper and die cut it with a
Pink Fresh Studio Folk Edge Circle.
The image was water colored with Tombow markers.
The little butterfly was flying around my desk left from another
project so he landed on my card to stay!
The pretty background paper is
The Paper Boutique Lavender Fields.
The sentiment is Pink Fresh Studio Perfect Sentiments
stamp and die.

Sending Hugs

Our theme at The Sisterhood of Crafters is GREEN!!

Of course the first thing I think of in March when I hear the word GREEN
is of course St Patrick's Day and Shamrocks!
I die cut a bunch of small shamrocks, placed them on stems and then in
my quilted pocket,  The pocket is from a nesting pocket set by Honey Bee
and the quilting was done with an EB folder by WeR Memory Keepers.
I love the quilting of this folder.
I used another size pocket die to cut my shaped at the bottom and added
some fun shamrock paper from DoodleBug Designs 'lot's of luck' paper pad.

Come on over to The Sisterhood and see all the beautiful 'green'
inspiration from my 'sistahs'!!

Sketch Saturday #746

Hello friends, we have a new sketch for you at Sketch Saturday
and it is a doozy LOL!!
There is an  Optional Twist and it is to Feature An Animal

I have to admit I struggled with this sketch, I am not very good
at all those angles, but figured it out I guess.
I didn't use the optional twist this time either.
I used papers from my Doodlebug Designs 'lots of luck' paper pad
and a sentiment strip from scrapbookdotcom.
I'm not sure why but back in January I had an order that was totally green
and St Patrick's Day, I'm sure I'll  have plenty of it to last me a lifetime!!

Come visit us at Sketch Saturday and show us your
interpretation of our sketch!!

Bling challenge

Hello friends, today at
Can You Handle The Pressure
we have an 'optional' theme of
BLING!!
However, you can created anything as long as you use an  embossing folder
wet embossing is permitted but you must include an embossing folder!

This is the prize for one lucky random drawn USA winner.
Due to high shipping costs and restrictions we can't,
sorry to say, ship international anymore.

For my card I used a pretty floral background designer paper from
The Paper Boutique Bumblee's Dance.
My embossing folder is a Tim Holtz Texture Fades mini Kaleidoscope and embossed on my lilac paper,
Pink fresh Studio Glacier gems were added to some of the design centers.
The sentiment is in two parts, first part is from
Pink Fresh Studios Perfect Sentiments stamps and dies
and the second part of my sentiment is from
Pretty pink Posh Simple Sentiments.

Hope to see you over at Can You Handle The Pressure!!

Word Power #3

Hello friends, it's a new month and that means a new challenge
starting at Word Power !  This challenge seems to be quite a hit
as it allows you to use those BIG sentiments and let them take
center stage, no little one word sentiments for us!!

For some reason I really like how this turned out,
not sure if it's the plaid paper , the shamrocks or
the fun big Good Luck sentiment but it grows on me!

I die cut the Frantic Stamper Shamrock cover plate
from white card stock, (now I have bunches of white shamrocks)
and placed it over a Doodlebug Design plaid paper from their 'lot's of luck' paper pad!  The sentiment is a newly purchased die
from Photoplay.

Get those BIG eye catching sentiments out and come on over
and join us at Word Power!!

First Signs of Spring

 Hello friends, happy 'almost' Spring!
That's what we are celebrating at Double D for our next challenge
FIRST SIGNS OF SPRING!!
Spring is officially March 19th but we can start the celebration NOW!!
We have a pretty inspiration board but you can create anything
Spring related!!

I let the cute little ducklings and all the pretty flower colors in the truck inspire me!
I used the Lawn Fawn grassy stencil and Lawn Fawn cloud stencils to
create the background of my card!
The adorable little duck is a Cottage Cutz Daffodil Duck die
that I die cut in all white scraps and colored in with my new Olo markers the
hubs bought me for Christmas, I really like them as they go on so smooth.
I found it easier to die cut all the pieces in white scraps ( and I have an entire big ziplock bag of white scraps, so nice to be able to use them up) then trying to use many different color scraps for these!
The sentiment is Stampendous Spring Sentiments.

So, if you are  in the 'spring mood' then come on over to
Double D and have some creative fun with us
and the teams have more beautiful inspiration there as well!!

Stencil Fun March 2024

Hello friends, we have a new challenge starting at
Stencil Fun today and an OPTIONAL theme of
Easter/Spring!
You can create anything as long as a stencil has been used!

We also have a fun prize up for grabs for one of our
USA entries, do to shipping costs and restrictions,
we sadly do not ship international anymore!!

Prize

For my first card I stuck with the Easter/Spring theme and stenciled this
fun and pretty Easter egg using a Waffle Flower Spring Egg stencil.
Because I purchased this stencil LAST year when I went to stencil it,
there are 2 stencils with 2 eggs on each, so I figured it was for 2 different eggs...
WRONG, it is one egg with FOUR layering stencils!!
But being the easy stencil it is, I was able to go back and add the other two
stencils, I was wondering why it seemed so blank in places.
Lesson learned here: (I doubt it, but I can try)
Don't wait a year to use your NEW 'stuff' so
you will remember HOW to use it.. GEESH!!
The paper is from Prima and the sentiment is from Art Impressions stamped on
a Pretty Pink Posh banner piece.  The bunny came out of my 'white' scraps!!  The heart edger is one I received FREE from
Poppystamps with an order.

For my second card, which is an 'ANYTHING GOES card
I die cut a Tutti Designs hexagon and used the negative to stencil through
with a Memory Box textured stencil and TH oxide twisted citron.
The die cut flowers are Poppystamps Delightful Daisy.
The sentiment is from The Greetery stamped in Dew Drop ink Rose Bud.

Come and have some stenciling fun with us at Stencil Fun!!

Triple B March 2024

Hello Triple B fans, we have a new challenge starting today and a fun
and colorful mood board for inspiration!
You can create anything as long as it has one of the 'B's' on it,
Birds~Blooms~Butterflies
you can use one, two OR all three!!

I was totally inspired by the mood board and pulled out a never been used
Forest Bird die by Cottage Cutz picked up in one of their fabulous sales they have
periodically!  I placed him on his branch then mounted him
on a Creative Expressions Frames & Tags 'Chloe' die cut.
I left the sentiment for the inside and called it done!

Come on over to Triple B and join in the fun with us,
we would love to have you there!!

from my teammates!!

Colorful Options March 2024

Hello friends, at Colorful Options this month we are mostly all about GREEN
and have this beautiful mood board for inspiration.
Don't like green, then a palette of rainbow colors is always welcome!

Something out of my 'norm' is that I purchased a 12x12 paper pack by
Reminisce called Irish Kiss  and this pack included the fun papers I have used
for my background.  I also purchased a 12x12 Photoplay 'So Lucky' sheet with
ten fun St Patrick images on it and this cute guy was one of them.
I had this die cut doily edge sitting around so added that along with a new word die
'lucky' that I also purchased along with the paper goodies
(I must of been in an 'Irish' shopping mood)!
That pretty much sums it up of how this card was created!

.

We would love to see YOUR green or rainbow colors over at
Colorful Options!!

Two Old Bats March 2024

It's a start of a new challenge in March at Two Old Bats
where it is Halloween themed year round.
It gives you an opportunity to get those Halloween supplies out
and have some fun using them year round!
We always have a fun mood board for inspiration if you choose to use it,
this month being March it is a bit green, but optional only!

I kept within the green of the mood board
and pulled out some neon green card stock for my base.
I die cut a Tutti designs witches
cauldron, added some
Firefly Stickles to the bubbles, a few flying bats
and the famous Halloween black cat!
my sentiment is computer generated.

Come on over to Two Old Bats
and have some off season fun with us!!

March 2024 Fingerpaints

It's time for our March challenge at
A Barrel of Monkeys
where the theme is always a kids game or toy and this month it's
FINGERPAINTS!

You can let anything you see inspire you, maybe it's the colors, the hands
or even some of the shapes or the word paint itself!
I went totally with the messy paints and the word paint
using my never been used before Spellbinders Artful Tulip.
I had a small panel leftover from a previous day of using my
Ken Oliver Color Burst Powders.  It came in pretty handy
for this challenge!  The sentiment is embossed with Zing
Frost EB powder,

Come on over to A Barrel of Monkeys and have some
creative fun with us!!

Four Seasons March Spring 2024

Hello friends, we are into our first SPRING season at
Four Seasons
and have a fun mood board for inspiration!

I was inspired by the adorably cute chick and the purple egg at the bottom!
I added a gingham paper background, which I preceded to mostly cover up,
that I now wish I had left off since my gingham paper supply is pretty low!
A Gina Marie Designs frame was die cut from a scrap of an old SU paper.
I die cut a SB  'nesting' egg (yep I have nesting eggs, 2 sets actually lol)
and stamped my SNS Easter Chicky (Fred She Said)
that were colored in with my Olo markers.
I received this stamp set when I was part of the Sparkle N Sprinkle Design team!

Come on over to Four Seasons and have some Spring fun with us,
you practically have the entire month to join in,
I am sure you are as ready for Spring as we are!!

Thinking of You

Welcome friends and Happy March first!!
March brings us into our new challenge at
Simply Clean & Simple
with the optional theme of GREEN!!

The green theme gives you plenty of optional choices
but you can create anything as long as it is SCAS!

It's so very hard to see, but I used my crimper on my back piece
but IRL it is VERY crimped, the darn camera surely didn't pick that up!
I used a NBUS Tim Holtz wildflowers die and a sentiment from
The Ton Easy Expressions!

We would love to see your CAS cards over at
Simply Clean & Simple!!
