Calla Lily

This is my featured card at the
Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today
using the newly released Calla Lillie's stamp set.

This was a pretty easy card to make, though it has lots of pretty details.
I started by stamping the Calla Lillies, coloring with Copics,
then cutting out with Spellbinders Devine Elegance die.
I then used Nuvo  Crystal Glaze on each flower giving it a
beautiful glazed look.
Once completely dry (it dries fast),
I placed it on a piece of SNS Sticker Paper then trimmed around the outer edge.

Gecko glitter was then added to the open sticky areas using my 'finger tool'.
I used the SNS Glitter Brush to brush off all excess glitter.
The entire piece was then adhered to a pink card stock base.
Little dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops Bubblegum Blush were then added
in various/random places around the lillies.

I stamped the sentiment with Versmark,
then embossed with Turnip Marbled embossing powder.
I then punched the sentiment out and used a second
slightly larger punched circle to go under.
the finishing touch was a beautiful ribbon bow.

Thanks for taking a look today and be sure to leave a comment both here and on my post on the SNS Blog for a chance to go shopping at Sparkle N Sprinkle.  No one knows who the Mystery Designer is this month (and it might just be me).  There will be new projects on the SNS Blog every day for your inspiration and for increasing your chances of winning.  Good luck!

Holiday Lantern

Just a quick post this afternoon.
I am taking a break from working outside and decided for something
different I would enter a few Christmas challenges....
yep, you heard me right....lol!

I have a box full of Christmas cards done
that haven't 'seen' my blog yet
and this is one of them.
I made a snowy embossed background panel
then stacked two Stitched Nesting Rectangles from Tutti Designs
for my Tutti Designs Holiday Lantern to 'sit' on.

For a pop of color
I stamped a Merry Christmas in red,
then fussy cut out.
The stamp is from SU.
Pretty simple card, an easy mailer!

Leaves

our challenge is being hosted by our lovely 'Sistah' Gwen'.
She has chosen the theme of
'LEAVES'

I have been creating my cards well in advance
and been in the mood for a bit more CAS.

I used a leaf stamp from SU's Lexicon of Leaves set.
The inks I used were 3 different greens from Hampton Art.
A piece of scrap paper was added to the top.
A pretty simple card really.

So head on over to The Sisterhood to see what my 'Sistahs' have created....
we would love to see your 'leaf' card, too.

Little Brown Cow

I have a quick and fun card to add today
as I saw a challenge and decided to enter
after seeing my friend Dar did the same challenge.
Sometimes it is just fun to do something simple!
Check her card out in the link above as it is super cute!

The challenge is at Pause Dream Enjoy
and it ends very soon so this will be a short post.

I could of gone a few other directions with this photo
but decided to do the obvious, the COW...MOO!

My little brown cow was stamped in SU  Soft Suede.
I colored with a few Copics for the grass and sky.
The stamp is one of the Michael's $1 ones I have had forever,
actually it says 2009..wow!

The fun  paper is some of my mega purchase of new papers this year
from Bella BLVD Barnyard.

I fenced my cow in with a Frantic Stamper fence.
The sentiment is computer generated, then punched out!

Lily of the Valley

This is my post today on the Tutti Designs blog.

Hi, Diane With with you today using a beautiful
Tutti Designs Lily of the Valley die.

The first card I die cut in white
then colored in with Copics on the leaves only.
An embossed background panel that I added an oval
foam piece to the center so it wouldn't emboss and left me
a flat place to add my sentiment.
A tiny butterfly was added to finish.

The second card is using the same Lily of the Valley Frame die
also die cut in white but this time not only coloring the leaves,
but adding Cloud Nine glitter to the flowers.
The back panel was also embossed, but I added a designer paper
to fill in the oval, a tiny picket fence behind
and two 'flying' doves.
The sentiment was stamped directly on the oval.

Ladybug Hugs

This is my card on the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today.
You can read all the details below, be sure to leave a comment HERE on my blog and at
the SNS blog as well for your chance to win a SNS shopping spree...FUN!

All the product links are given not only throughout the blog post
but at a list at the end as well.

Now onto how I created the above card.
After stamping the Tulip Square 894 and coloring with Copics.
I adhered Tear-ific Tape 1/4”  SAT01 down the centers between the squares.

Once that was done, I removed the tape backing and applied  Flirt G1119 glitter.
It turned out so sparkle-y and pretty.
I adhered my finished panel to the 'easel' card using Tear-ific Tape ½”  SAT04.

Do you see all the cute little lady bugs peeking out here and there?
I wanted to add even more ladybugs, so I stamped 4 separately,
colored them with Copics,
then fussy cut them with my Mini Scissors 5 ½” 816E.
Each ladybug was then coated with Nuvo Crystal Glaze 947N.

I then added 3 of these to the bottom of the easel
along with the  Black Detail EP171 embossing powder.

The fourth ladybug was added to the top of the card.

Flirt G1119 was added to the tulip in the top square
using  Sakura Glue Pen (Quicky).
Once my card was complete I brushed all the excess glitter off
with my Glitter Brush SG1400.
I have to admit I never had a glitter brush before I
started creating for this team, and I LOVE how it works
on brushing off the glitter!!

Rain Boots

Hello there!
Today I have the cutest little pair of

I just love, love this cut file.
It is so easy to use and I could make dozens of these
in so many different papers!
I have my own 'garden' boots but they are an ugly black rubber
(I call mine snake boots, since I have snakes in my flower gardens).
How I would love to have these instead!!
The little flowers (also part of the cut file)
have Nuvo Glow Drops Neon Sour Apple in the centers...
and guess what?  They actually do glow in the dark!!!

For our DT group post (which is tomorrow the 21st)
we were able to choose any file we wanted.
Now, funny thing is, I made these last year, almost the exact same date,
but I love them so much and they fit our April weather so perfect.
You can see that pair HERE.
I wanted really bright and colorful boots this time,
so I grabbed an older 12 x 12 pad of paper from
K&Company 'Berry Sweet',
couldn't resist the little toadstool pattern.

The matching envelope is part of the same cut file
and cut from the same paper pad!

Make sure to stop by tomorrow afternoon (21st) to
The Cutting Cafe blog and see all the fabulous creations
the team has to show you...all in one place...
and just by leaving a comment, you could win 3 cut files of your choosing!

Friendship

Time for a new challenge at
Double D Challenges and it is being hosted by Team Darlene.
The theme is
Friendship.
Dar created the 'mood' board just to get you inspired...
need more inspiration?
Then head on over to the DD blog to be amazed!

My card was created using a very OLD stamp set from SU
Friendship Grow 2001...WOW!
However, there is a girl in town that has yearly garage sales and always has
neat papercrafting stuff  and of course I buy,
which is where this set came from... LOL!

I used a few pretty papers from my stash of 'many'.
I stamped my image using the TH Stamp Platform,
which was good as I stamped it at least 3 times until I was satisfied!
I am not sure how I ever lived without that before!

I then used Copics to color the sweet little image.
There are 2 more stamps in this set and I have left it out so I can use them
 before I put them away!

Once again using the TH Stamp Platform,
I stamped the sentiment directly on my designer paper.
added a cute butterfly and called it quits!

I hope you will join us at Double D
and like I mentioned above,
the Design Team has outdone themselves once again!

Stained Glass Poppies

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi, Diane with you today with a couple
fabulous cards using the Tutti Designs Poppies Stained Glass die.

I have two cards today created very different.

The first card it full of total 'SPARKLE'!
It looks hard to do but it's not at all.
I simply die cut the poppy stained glass die,
then adhered it to a piece of sticker paper.
I added a fine white glitter (Cloud Nine) to that and rubbed it in with my finger.
Then I simply used my Copics to add the colors.
You don't need to press hard when doing this as the pens
seem to flow on the glitter, just wipe your pens off to remove the
glitter off the tips when done.
That simple and it looks great!!
I added a few paper layers, hemp cord and a wooden owl button.

The second card was created by die cutting, then adhering to a piece of vellum,
then coloring on the backside with Copics.
It gives a nice soft look.

Little Brown Bear

Morning 'peeps'!
It's a cool, rainy snow mix day here and a perfect day
to just be in my creative room.
I could vacuum I guess, except Mack ate the plug off of it yesterday.
He also chewed up my beautiful dining room floral rug that I absolutely loved
and yesterday my rooster rug in the laundry room....
yep, that was how my weekend went!

I spent the weekend mostly cleaning/digging out my craft room.
It almost drove me to nail the door shut and
never to come in again...I really need to revamp this room,
downsize my stuff and re-organize!

So, one of my things I did get to was to create a
'just for fun' card for a challenge I saw at the
Alphabet Challenge blog 'B'  is for Bears!

This card is a bit of the 'old meets the new'.
The tree stamp is from a Unity August 2009 kit of the month.
The bear stamp is one I purchased last fall from Echo Park.

I inked the wonky stitched background die using TH Oxide inks.
The tiny little dragonflies were die cut with a Cheery Lynn Designs die
from bits of a glittery scrap paper.
The card base is using Kraft card stock and
folds at the top, just something different for a change..

Thanks for visiting me today!!

Puddle Ducks

Time for a new challenge at the
Dies R Us challenge blog with the theme of
'SPRINGTIME'!

I created a fun card by first using a Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Oval
on a white card stock, using just the negative to create a
puddle of sorts by sponging Distress Oxide Salty Ocean
on the card stock base under the negative.
I'll save the 'real' die cut for another use.

Using the Tim Holtz stamp platform,
I stamped my sentiment from Stampendous Spring Sentiments set.
I die cut 2 Memory Box Prairie Grass from 2 different green scraps
and off set them together along the puddle.
I also added 3 stems from the set of 5 Sue Wilson Catkins Stems.

I die cut the mamma duck and her babies.
Beaks and feet were colored in with Copics.
Mamma Duck's eye is using a dot of
I also added Sparkle N Sprinkle Sun Dazzle Flocking to the babies,
making them fuzzy just like real baby ducklings.

Rain was added by using The Robin's Nest Tear Drops

Pawsome Birthday

This is my card I have on the Sparkle and Sprinkle BLOG today.
Just Me And My Dog.

Dog digi in the size I wanted and also the sentiment
from the same set.
I used a rectangle die in a size to fit over the sentiment and cut it
from my digi print out.
Clear Embossable Acetate was adhered to the back,
then foam strips, my shaker tiny stars were placed,
then adhered to the digi sentiment.

Using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive all over the grass area,
I then sprinkled with Shamrock Glitter.

I ran it all over the shirt, then embossed with Turnip embossing powder.
It kind of gave it a camo look as this is a marbleized embossing powder!

Google eyes were added to the dog.

Using the Nuvo Creative Pen Collection Supreme Metallics .
I added them to the hair for a 'preppy' look!
I printed a paw from the digi set, added the Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive,
then sprinkled with Campfire glitter.

Once I had the digi image complete,
I sponged on Nuvo Embellishment Mousse Aquamarine around the top half edges
and Nuvo Embellishment Mousse Spring Green around the bottom half edges.
(not necessary to do the entire piece as it won't show)

I then used this piece for the backing of my card front!
