Fun In The Sun.....

The Shabby Tea Room's challenge this week is "Fun In The Sun"......what is more fun then a garden full of flowers or an afternoon outdoor concert.....our town has a concert every week at the park downtown on the river...you bring your own chair and enjoy the music...it's as much fun watching the people as it is listening to the concert.....I combined the two...flowers and music......I wanted to make my "entry" as vintage and shabby as I could.....I cut a layered flower from a piece of vintage sheet music I had spritzed with two colors of spray...look real close and you can see the shimmer!!  The background paper is nothing but a wonderful piece of glittered paper embossed with a music notes embossing folder.....the Monarch butterflies were punched from black glitter paper...the ribbon is sheer with polka dots (click on photo for a better view)...I love how this card turned out in all it's glittery~shabby goodness!!

There IS a lot of glittery and shabby goodness going on here, Diane! Your design turned out wonderful ... I {heart} how you paired the music embossing folder with the sheet music flower and butterflies - wonderful! Thanks for joining us this week in the Tea Room :)

Pretty card! I'm a music lover also and I love using butterflies! They speak summer to me, too! That punch is especially pretty. None of mine have the cut-outs on the wings...I really like that detail! Nice job! Have a great summery day!!

I love the pink and black color combo and that sheer lace looks likes it's floating in the background. Pretty card.
