Immortality ~Remember 9-11-01

I debated about posting about 911...not because I don't care, but because of all the hate the media has been reporting about concerning 911.....I would rather hear about each person that lost their lives that day...who they were...what they wanted out of life....who loved them...who misses them...each unique person had a story of their own...lets remember them...so my word today is "Immortality".....definition meaning "The quality or state of being immortal"...unending existense...hearafter...eternity......I think a fitting word, as the brave souls we lost will always have an unending existence in all our lives,
Do you remember where you were that day, what you were doing??   I do, it was an ordinary day for me at the office.....my daughter called to see if I had heard the news.....I called my boss and we were able to turn the TV on...just in time to see the Pentagon being hit......we were horrified...I called my Mom...she was ironing.....she was 74 then, 83 now...has it really been 9 years...it seems like yesterday.....a day I hope none of us ever has to endure again.....my heart goes out to all the families of the lost ones......the picture above is from my garden...an Iris......the name...... "Immortality.

Beautifully said my friend. I also choose to think the positive. I will never forget that day...each moment. My children were in classes on the East coast only three hours away, all phone lines were jammed and the plane was heading towards Pennsylvania. I was in sheer fear, couldn't believe I was seeing this devastation.I pray each and every day for all the families.
Thanks for the gentle words and lovely flowers.

I remember exactly where I was too...sitting in the living room not really watching the morning news but then seeing the smoke I was riveted and then watching that second plane hit...It's surreal now but I will never forget. Thanks for sharing, Patty

Very well said Diane. I agree with you about how the media has handled the most current issue. I think we all will remember that day and what we were doing when we first heard the news.

I remember it as if it were yesterday too. I have a picture in my mind where I was and what I was doing when my sister called to tell me to turn on the TV. Great post. Best, Curt
