Less Is More Challenge 10

Morning All,

I have been super busy with all my projects...but just had to do a challenge or create something!!  I chose the "Simply Less Is More Challenge"......this week it was to make your sentiment to be your focal point...I purchased this sentiment a few years ago from Unity...and this is the first I have "inked" it....the ribbon was a last scrap that I had...for some reason, "gingham" ribbon just appeals to me, and I find myself trying to buy it in every color...must be a thing from my childhood memories, where everything was gingham!  The ink I used is the yummy color Melon Mambo from SU.....

Last is my picture of "Big Bird" as we call him...he came to visit us this morning and just drives Nellie nuts......I spent all afternoon yesterday in my "snake garden"...thats what I like to call it, as its always full of snakes...so first thing that popped its head up was a huge green frog...frog heads look waaaaaay too much like snake heads to me....so after that dramatic moment...next was a big brown toad........so I moved to another garden and was reaching down to pull out the dead from my day lillies...and and...yep..you guessed it..... a snake.......the fun of gardening on a creek in the country!

I love all things gingham too, like you say, probably a memory of childhood. This is so gorgeous- pretty in pink, love the 3D butterflies.

Big bird looks a bit leathal with that big pointy beak! Glad he's not in my garden! And the snakes too for that matter!

Hi there, I'm with you, gingham rocks in all colours. Your card's great I love the colour and the sentiment is wonderful:0) I'm not a fan of snakes if I don't know what 'make' they are but if they're safe that's great :0) xxx

I'm just smitten with that pink gingham ribbon and your CAS card. The sentiment is really beautiful for words of encouragement. Such a beautiful photo, too. Your adventures in gardening sound very interesting!

Love your ribbon and that shade of pink - really sweet but strong. Great stamp too which would also look great alone...

Hi Nelly,

Thanks for the visit. Haven't tried my die yet but I have heard similar...just googled it and see some forums also voicing concerns.Sizzix are working on it...so definitely an issue. It seems to be too strong on thin papers. Some recommend tissue tape behind (eek costly), I would go for cheap old masking tape but I'm wondering what if you place a piece of old thick paper underneath the good paper to reduce the cutting or just glue your strip to some card first.... Or maybe it might work better if you play around with different cutting plates but there aren't many long ones on the market. If you are really unhappy I say complain officially - it should work! Good luck... will see how mine goes...
