While cleaning out my "creative" room....
I came across a BH&G quilt magazine that has over 100 ideas for quilt blocks....
I put it in the "to go" pile....
then decided it would be a wonderful reference for "quilt cards"....
When I saw that this week CAS-ual Fridays challenge was to use a black card base....
I decided to "make a quilt"....
I choose the "Country Pinwheel"....
it was a lot of paper piecing, but fun (except trying to keep it straight)....
the quilt cards are another great way to use scraps....
I made the second card I am showing first..(have I confused you...lol)
but wasn't in love with it, hence the quilt card...
I used some Zing embossing powder, as I have tons of it
and seem to forget to use it!!

Both cards turned out beautifully, Diane! The pinwheel quilt is especially striking--I'm in awe of your meticulous paper piecing. Thanks for joining us this week at CAS-ual Fridays!
I think they are both lovely ... the black certainly makes for a striking effect ... and yep I keep promising my embossing powders that they can come out and play soon ...
Two lovely cards Diane :) Viv xx
