Sweet Thoughts

I had time today to squeeze in a challenge....
I should be doing other things....
but I decided along time ago that life is too short and to do what I love...
that's my advice and I am "sticking" to it...lol

So I decided to do the challenge at Impression Obsession "Sweet Thoughts"
I had to give this challenge alot of thought...
I just received last week 4 new stamps from IO, but none of them fit this theme...
so I came up with this "light bulb" moment to use my ever favorite background stamps...

I cut a cupcake shape from my Cricut using white cardstock...
I stamped the bottom of the cupcake with my IO Honeycomb bg stamp...
now if I had it to do again, I think I would of embossed it with powder to give a more 3D effect
but too late for that....
the top was stamped with a stamp I just love called Rose Lace.....it is so pretty

I added a bit of stickles to define the top from the bottom and a few red pearls for candies....
and of course all cupcakes need a cherry on top...

Also showing you a picture I took out my dining room today of our Lake Michigan effect snow
thats water (a creek) in the forground.....4 ducks went floating by just a bit ago....
it's about 9 degrees out...brrrr...glad I got to stay in....
made a pot roast with mashed potatos and gravy for supper....yum!!

GREAT job Diane ... VERY creative! I must keep this in mind the next time I'm stumped ... good thinking!
Brrrrr that picture really made me shiver! We have a dusting and it's lightly snowing now ... 5 degrees now but luckily we are rarely hit with the lake affect snow like you get. STAY WARM MY FRIEND and thanks for continually inspiring me to 'think outside the box'! HUGS from OHIO! See you in the Spring! (I HOPE!)

Love how you used the background stamps on this and the "sprinkles" look awesome! Your photo is beautiful. There is nothing more of a favorite with me than smelling a pot roast cooking while it is cold and snow outside. How thankful I become with those sights and smells. Thanks for sharing! Hugs, Curt
