Nordic "Shabby" Valentine

Hello "shabby" friends!!

The Shabby Tea Room Girls are back with our first challenge for 2015!!
Using the fun and gorgeous inspiration photo below, our theme is
"Baby It's Cold Outside"

Our sponsor this week is "The Cutting Cafe"
For my project I chose "Valentine's Day Toppers"

I have to admit I had lots of fun using some of my own "stash"
to create my card.

This fall a group of friends from various states got together
and one of the girls brought some things she was "letting go of"
for us to purchase if we wanted to.
Well I found lots of goodies from her and one was this "Waltzing Mouse"
stamp set called "Nordic Winter"!
I used Memento Lady Bug ink to stamp my design eight times on Very Vanilla Card stock.
I just love the Nordic look , it just seems so cozy, doesn't it??

The second stamp I used for my background is a stamp I purchased in 2013
from Stampendous called "Sweater Square".  I inked this one in "Crumb Cake"!

Now, for the fun part.  I recently won a gift certificate for one of my designs
at "Paper Sweeties".  I used it to purchase this super cute and adorable die and
stamp set called " Homemade With Love Bundle".
I stamped the mug in Versamark, then heat embossed with
Ranger Rich Red embossing powder, then using the mug die I cut it out.
I love the enamel, shiny, look of it!!

I added Impression Heart Stems, also purchased with a gift certificate I won
at the Impression Obsession challenge blog.  I saw them on my friend's Lisa's blog
and had to have them....you will see these appear on my blog again this week
with another gorgeous card!!

I finished up with a few little do-dads from my stash.

You MUST head over to "The Shabby Tea Room" and see what my shabby teammates
have to show you...they are awesome projects....and don't forget to join in with us!!

Oh, my gosh, you're so clever with these challenges! The Nordic design made with stamps is amazing, especially how you combined them. This couldn't be cuter or more perfect for the challenge!

Awww... this makes me think such good, sweet, nostalgic thoughts about winter. Something I totally needed considering the air is so cold outside in North Dakota that it makes my face hurt. Why do I live somewhere where the air makes my face hurt?! ;) Your card is so lovely, sweet and cozy!
