Flutter Away

Good Morning!!
Today is the first day of our latest/newest challenge at "The Sisterhood"
Darlene is our hostess and she has chosen Paper Piecing and/or Piercing
for our theme!!

I gave this one a lot of thought and decided I would do "piercing".
You might have to look hard to see it, but it is the "butterfly motion"
that I also added tiny sequins to!!

This card is a mix of old and new.
I purchased this Wild Rose Butterfly die before Christmas
and this is the first chance I had to use it.
I actually thought it would be a little more "doily like",
but I think it is pretty!!
I cut it twice, once in black for the underneath and again,
using some very old "scrap bin" SU paper.
The background paper is SU Pale Plum, another "oldie"

I got in the scrap bags once again and pulled out three pieces for the bottom.
Added a black and white gingham bow with a few very old mulberry
flowers I stacked together.  In fact these are so old, one
fell apart in my hand while I was trying to put the brad in..lol...
Of course it also could be because of the cat, as she destroyed 2 die cuts
and totally undid a bow I had just finished!

Pop on over to the blog and see what the "Step-Sisters" and my Design Team
Sisters have to inspire you to join us.  We have new Step-Sisters this month.

Diane, I love the sharpness of the B&W ribbon/bow on this project. It just makes it pop. Thanks for sharing your art on Craft-Dee BowZ challenge!

I was totally enjoying your card and then you just cracked me up with your story about the cat! Oh, I can see it now. She must have been having so much fun! Then I had to scroll back up and take another look at your flowers. Pretty! The butterfly does look a little doily-ish, actually. Again, pretty! Love the trail of piercing and sequins!
