A Note From The Beach

After returning from vacation it seems I always
have to try and get myself back into
the 'mood' of creating
and what seems to help me out with that
is to find a fun challenge to get those creative thoughts coming!

I came across the challenge at Impression Obsession
and saw that it was a 'beach theme'
and I don't know about you, but I am far from ready
to let summer go, so this sounded just the perfect thing!!

I created a very clean and simple card using
Impression Obsession shell set dies.
I cut all three from my scrap bags of papers
as well as the embossed back panel
(it reminded me of the beach for some reason).

What you can't see is the 'splatters' behind it all using a
NBUS Tim Holtz spritzer.
I bet I have had that thing at least 2 years or
as least as long as it has been available and
never used it.
It worked pretty neat!

So there  you have it,
my 'A Note From The Beach ' card and an easy mailer at that!

Entering the following FUN challenges:
Impression Obsession .... A Day At The Beach (x)
Crafty Cardmakers ....By or Under The Sea (9/2) (x)
Pixie's Snippets Playground .... Snippets (x)
NBUS .... never before used stuff (x)

Fabulous CAS creation Diane! Love that bubbly background and I agree ... reminds me of the bubbles left on the sand when the waves recede. Great job! Hope it helped get your mojo going ...

That background reminds me of the beach, too. Maybe it's the bubbly look, or pebbles, as in Pebble Beach. Probably bubbles, especially because of the tropical blue color. Anyway, I love your CAS beachy card! I should be making more beachy cards. Guess it doesn't have to be a summer thing. I can see the splatters. They give it a sandy look. Love the sparkly starfish, too. Welcome back, Diane! Good luck getting back into a stamping routine. It's always hard for me if I stay away from it too long.

Beautiful card Diane! Love the way you captured a real feel of the sea without making it into a scene.

Good to see you in the Playground!

Well done using the spritzer, Diane! I love the subtle spray of sand behind your great textured panel and fabulous seashore embellies!! The colors are great, too! It does take a minute to get back to crafting after a holiday, but now that you've cracked a card, it will flow easily! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #7! Hugs, Darnell
