Isn't it hard to believe that we are into our 2nd week of August
already and it will soon be 'Fall' before we know it!
Speaking of Fall
I have a pretty 'fall-ish' card to show you using the new
Leafy Wreath die!
I die cut my leafy wreath then used Gilding Flakes to coat it.
Let me give a small tutorial of how I did it.
First die cut your leafy wreath die.
Then coat your entire wreath with glue.
I used Cosmic shimmer Flake & Glitter Glue.
Let it sit for about 15 minutes,
this allows the glue to get real sticky.
Next start applying your gilding flakes with your fingers
making sure to cover the entire glued surface.
I used Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Flakes .
Be very generous and cover it well!
Once entirely covered,
use a soft brush and start brushing the excess
flakes off.
You can put the flakes back in the jar for another use later.
Once all the flakes are off, I use my fingers to 'shine' the flakes up a bit.
That's all there is to it.
A 'Tip' is to spray your finished gilded project with a clear spray.
I use a very inexpensive aerosol hair spray for mine.
I simply finished with a bow and an embossed sentiment
that I then punched with a circle punch.

Thank you for visiting with me today!
'I' will be here each and every Thursday.

The gilding flakes really add a WOW to that wreath. Wonderful design.
This is so beautiful!!
Oh your wreath turned out GORGEOUS! I have the flakes, just haven't used them yet. Good thing fall and the holidays are coming up, I'll be using the flakes for sure!
Wow, amazing! I've never used any gilding flakes of any kind, but this is fantastic and looks easy. I've used spray sealer on glitter before and it really helps hold it in, but doesn't reduce the sparkle at all. This is just gorgeous, Diane!
WOW that wreath is gorgeous. Those gilding flakes really push it over the top and I love that die. Your bow is perfect for the wreath. Thanks so much for entering your lovely card into our 'Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow' challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ this month. I look forward to seeing what you create for our next challenge. Hugs, Barbara
