Masculine Challenge

It's a new challenge theme at
The Sisterhood of Crafters
and it is being hosted by our 'sistah' Darlene.
She has chosen the theme of  'masculine'.

I die cut a Tutti Design Postage Stitched Panel
then using my TH platform I stamped my
fishermen image on it.
Good thing I had that platform as I had to stamp
four times to get a nice dark and perfect silhouette.
since I had so much ink on my stamp
I also stamped onto a scrap paper to use as a mask.
The stamp set is Sparkle N Sprinkle Gone Fishin' set
gosh I miss that company!!

Once I had the mask on, I used various distress inks
and those life saving blending brushes
(which by the way I absolutely LOVE)
to add inks to my panel.
I added a blue textured panel on a black card base
then stamped my Happy Birthday
from the TH Crazy Talk set.

We would love to see YOUR masculine cards...
pop on over to The Sisterhood for some great inspiration!

Entering the following challenges:
Cardz 4 Guys …. Gone Fishin'
Stamping Sensations …. August Make It Masculine
Simon Says Wednesday …. Mid Summer Blues

What a fabulous masculine creation Diane! GREAT job on the background and that foreground silhouette is perfect!!! Well done! I'm still getting used to those brushes and end up going back to my sponges often times. Guess I just need more practice (always in a hurry ya know! LOL)

Beautiful card, Diane! Really love the colorful sunset sky. Solid image stamps can be tricky to get a good image with. I love my brushes, too. I went cheap with make up brushes from Amazon, but recently bought more that are all the same size, different color handles, and come with a handy little stand. Again from Amazon. They work perfectly!
