Woodblock Wednesday Challenge

Hello friends, today is the fun Woodblock Wednesday challenge
put on every month by the talented Amy Tsuruta
encouraging you to use those fun but mostly neglected woodblock stamps!

I have lots and lots of woodblock stamps so it is very fun to pull some
out and use them.  I made a mini slimline card using a stamp from a favorite WB company of
mine 'Northwoods Rubber Stamps' (2007) and this is the first time I have
ever inked it myself as a summer ago a friend gave me ALL her woodblock stamps!
The sentiment is from Elizabeth Craft designs, also a first time use.

Aren't they just the cutest and full of so much detail!

Here is the actual stamp, perfect for a slimline card!

So, get those 'woodblocks' out and head on over to the challenge
and have some fun with us, I am sure Amy would love having you!!

Hugs Challenge

Our challenge at theme The Sisterhood of Crafters is HUGS!
As soon as I saw the 'hugs' theme I knew right off what I would
use for it.  A long while back I had purchased the
Waffle Flower Intertwined Bear Hugs die.  This is such a cute die
that can be made in so many different ways!
I have to say though that is was a pretty easy die to use,
All pieces you see are part of the die set.
I inked up the bears a bit and the top part of the card base.

This is the inside of the card, the sentiment is also from
Waffle Flower, Mini SentimentsIt is stamped just behind
the bear, allowing a nice space to write a message below it.

Come on over to The Sisterhood of Crafters and give us YOUR 'HUGS'!

Leaves Challenge

Hello friends, hard to believe we are nearing the end of August
already, it saddens me to think the cold weather will be upon us before
we know it!  It also brings us to a new challenge at
Can You Handle The Pressure
where our challenge is all about embossing folders,
an embossing folder is required to enter out challenge!
We have an OPTIONAL theme of LEAVES.

I pulled out a new 3D folder I purchased from Simon Says
Leafy Greens, it also comes with it's own leaf die
to add even more fun texture which I placed
on a Tutti Designs stitched circle along with
a sentiment from The Ton.

This card has gone to a friend that sent me a wonderful surprise
in the mail to thank her for her kindness, I hope she likes it!

I also made a second card for another friend that was kind
enough to send us some awesome prizes for some of
our prize challenges.  You know who you are and
THANK YOU
so very much!!

I think I am also going to make more of these but turn them into sympathy cards!

Come on over to Can You Handle The Pressure,
get out those neglected embossing folders and have some fun with us!

Shapes

Hello friends, today is the start of a new challenge theme at
Double D and it is SHAPES.
Use a rectangle, circle, oval square, I think you get the idea!
We have a mood board for inspiration.

I had a partial die cut left from a cut apart Waffle Flower Postage die
and used that for my focal point.  From the same WF die set, I cut
postage squares and triangles from scraps of papers
and arranged a few on the postage die along with the stamped
birthday sentiment from Stampendous.
I added a few stitched strips along the bottom using a die
Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Strips die.

Come on over and have some challenge fun with us at Double D!!

Peace On Earth Challenge #70

A new Peace On Earth Christmas challenge starts today
and we have  wintery fun inspiration board for you,
but we are an anything goes challenge as long  as it is
Christmas themed!

The top left corner inspired me with the snowy pine.
I once again used my Penny Black Masterpiece Winter Dream panel for my card.
I added lots or pretty snowy glitter, wish you could see it in person as
it is very sparkle-y and pretty, not at all like the photo shows!

I framed the print with Hero Arts 'wood' frame and added a glittered snowflake.

We would love to have you join us at Peace On Earth
for our challenge and take a peek at the beautiful creations
from the design teams!!

Two Old Bats Reminder August 2024

We are halfway through our challenge at Two Old Bats
and have a fun mood board for inspiration!

I let all the fun orange pumpkins inspire me
and used a paper from one of my favorite Halloween paper packs
Spooktacular Fun by Brutus Monroe.
Everything else you see on this card was just waiting to be used.  I had die cut
a bunch of bats from Prickley Pear and the pumpkin is one I had finished for
another project but ended up not using, the same with the black tag and sentiment.

You still have a couple of weeks to join in with our year round
Halloween fun at Two Old Bats, hope to see YOU there!

Beautiful Blossoms August Challenge

Hello friends, it is once again time for a new challenge at
Beautiful Blossoms and we have a mood board for inspiration!

I had a lot/bunch of already pre-made flowers and thought I would pull some
out in the colors of the mood board, I think I hit on all the colors pretty well
except the blush/mauve color, I kept my card mostly in the fall color tones.
Most of these flowers are from
Spellbinders Bold Blooms, one summer evening I spent creating as many flowers
as I could out of my many scraps and inks.  Needless to say I have an entire
container of pretty blooms to use whenever I need them, a few are also
Concord & 9th and Pretty Pink Posh!.
I embossed a dotted background with a 3D WeR Memory Keepers folder
no room for a sentiment so it will have to go inside!

Come on over to Beautiful Blossoms and have some 'floral' fun with us!!

Kards For Kids

Hello friends, at The Sisterhood of Crafters our challenge theme is
Kards For Kids!
Having as many grands and greats as I do,
I certainly can use all the kids cards I can make, seems I can't keep up.

I purchased this fun and unique unicorn stamp/die set from
Pink Fresh Studios LAST year and finally pulled it out to use.
It comes with all the stamps and dies you have seen me use here
plus many more to choose from.
I know the perfect little girl that will receive this card
for her birthday this year. I think I'll make a few more of these
to keep in my stash!!

Just some Fun

Today I needed something to get my mojo going
as it has been on vacation for the last few months!
I saw the challenge at Memory Box which is:

I can always use more holiday cards and sad to say it will be upon us before we even know it!

I used an oldie but a very favorite MB die of mine 'Poinsettia Collage'.
This is one of those dies that you never tire of, at least I don't.
I kept it pretty neutral in colors this time adding a few bright gems
to give it some sparkle, the sentiment was stamped in Rose Gold.

Well, hopefully this will get me back into the swing of things,
I certainly have LOTS of new things to play with if I ever get in the mood!!
Memory Box does have a new holiday release out, maybe I should go shopping!!

Wheels Challenge

Hello friends, it is once again time for a new challenge at
Can You Handle The Pressure
where we are all about embossing folders.
You can use wet embossing too, but only in addition to an
embossing folder!
Our OPTIONAL theme is WHEELS.

Last winter I hit a warehouse sale at Sizzix and was able to purchase
several fun things at a fabulous price, this die set Joy Riders being one.
This set contains the bear, bike, cloud, and hearts you see along
with another bike, fox and hedgehog I haven't used yet.
The embossed clouds are from Stampin' Up
and the stitched green hill is
Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Border, I have used these hillside dies so many
times I certainly have gotten my moneys worth out of them!
The  sentiment is Stampendous True Friends.

Harvest

Hello friends, it's that time again for a new challenge at
Double D and our theme is Fall Harvest.
We want to see anything that has to do with a fall harvest.
We have a fun mood board for inspiration below:

I think you can pretty easily see what inspired me?

I live out in the country and our area is major farms all around
and one of the things you see growing is WHEAT!
They usually harvest it late fall and I am sure there are a 'few'
field mice hanging around!  I used a stamp from
Pink Ink Designs Wee Folk Corn Mouse.
The die cut wheat is Impression Obsession,
I used a circle punch for the sentiment and some pretty papers
from my HUGE stash of designer papers.

Come on over to Double D and have some fall harvest fun with us,
the design teams have some fabulous inspiration and never disappoint!

Stencil Fun August 2024

Hello Friends, welcome to another new challenge this month at
Stencil Fun where our OPTIONAL theme is
Summertime (beaches~Flowers~sports~anything SUMMER)!!
But we are an anything goes challenge as long as you
have used a stencil!

One of my favorite things in the summer is all the
pretty flowers you see in gardens, planters and even
the plant stores!  I just can't seem to get enough of them!

I used my Waffle Flower 3 layer stencil for my summery card!
lots of bright, cheerful summer colors to
brighten anyone's day!
It was stenciled on the WF postage die
and the sentiments are part of the WF postage collection!

For my anything goes card I used a one of four
background stencils from Spellbinders February 2024
stencil club.
The image is Stampendous Quick Cards Hope of Spring
and the sentiment is from the same set!

Come on over to Stencil Fun and have some
good old stenciling FUN with us!!

Peace On Earth Challenge #69

Hello Peace On Earth fans, we have a new challenge starting today and
and a fun mood board for inspiration that  just adore!!
so many fun and cute things to pick from but those adorable
chenille Christmas trees spoke volumes to me!!

I started with a Paper Rose wood panel embossing folder,
embossed on totally white card stock.
Next I 'snow' embossed a white dotted Tutti Designs circle
and topped with my Sizzix tree dies.  These trees all come in one die set
that I purchased at one of their big sales, there are other dies in the set as well
but these alone worked just perfect for my card!!
The sentiment is from The Ton Easy Expressions holiday!!

I LOVE how my card turned out for our Peace On Earth challenge
and hope you do too!  Also hoping you will join myself and the team
in our year round challenge, we would LOVE to see YOU there!!

So Much To Sea & Coastal Vibes

Hello friends, at our new challenge
Love Those Pretty Papers
we have an optional theme of SUMMERTIME
but you can also create Anything Goes as long as
you have made your pretty papers your focus!

For my Summertime theme I have created
this fun summertime card using paper from a pack of Carta Bella
paper that was included in a huge surprise sale pack from Echo Park.
It is Bon Voyage and I wasn't sure I would ever use it as it just wasn't my thing!
I kept it though and it came in handy for my card.
I had also received from scrapbookdotcom a FREE
49 and Market Summer Porch Chipboard package and that is where my
lighthouse and sentiments (Summer, so much to sea) came from.

For my Anything Goes option, I have created another summer card
since I have lots of summer papers I thought "why not"!
This fun paper was from LDRS You Are My Sunshine pack
and I once again used a 49 and Market chipboard piece for the
'coastal vibes' sentiment and a fun crab from Spellbinders Crabby die.
I thought the paper was super fun for another summer card.

Hope to see you at our 2nd debut of
Love Those Pretty Papers!

Triple B August 2024

It's getting to the end of summer but we are still going strong at
Triple B
with our birds~blooms~butterflies challenge and have a colorful
mood board for inspiration!

I used a Penny Black masterpiece 'bright bouquets' for my card
as the colors reminded so much of the inspiration board!
Plus, not only did it have blooms, but birds as well!
From my stash I added a frame around the print, a handmade flower
and a sentiment from The Ton Easy Expressions.

Hope to see YOU over at Triple B!

Colorful Options August 2024

Hello friends, at Colorful Options this month we are
celebrating yellow-green this month.
You can use yellow, green, yellow-green, or green-yellow.
Not inspired by these colors?  Then a rainbow colored card is always an option!

Here is our colorful mood board for inspiration:

I opted for a yellow-green card myself using a stencil of lemons I
received from one of Altenew's weekly sales!
Pretty simple with a 3 layer stencil and a Pink Fresh Studios Perfect Sentiments!
Of course I had to use Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade for my yellow lemons!

Come and have some colorful fun with us at Colorful Options!!

Four Seasons August Summer 2024

We are into our last SUMMER season for this year at our
The Four Seasons challenge and have a mood board
for inspiration, but you can create anything summer themed!

Even though my poppies bloom here end of May into June I went with the
poppy photo using a PoppyStamps layered poppy die I inked with various
Altenew inks.  The oval die cut is Pink Fresh Studio's Blanket Stitched Oval.
I added The Greetery Put A Bow On It sentiment.

Word Power #8

Hello friends, today brings us to a new monthly challenge
at Word Power where your sentiment is the focal point on
your card!
I think my BIG thank you does the trick on this card
as you certainly can't miss the message on this one!
I used a NBUS TH Alterations Distressed Frame EB folder for my
backdrop and an also NBUS flower SU die cut with
the pretty paper from Dress My Craft Hydrangea Lawns.
The butterfly is Cheapo Dies.
