Winter Greetings

Today at Can You Handle The Pressure we have a new
OPTIONAL theme and it is
WINTER/SNOW
but you can create anything as long as an embossing folder was used.
Wet embossing is allowed but only in addition to the use of a EB folder!

I used my new (purchased in January 2024)
Hero Arts Peeking Snowman.  I had him on my waiting list for several months and finally in January he arrived!!  He also arrives with a
Santa hat die so you can switch him up!  He was totally
created from scraps and I just adore him!
I used a Darice snowflake embossing folder for him to
'peek' around,  The sentiment is from Pretty Pink Posh.

Holiday Wishes

Hello friends, it' our LAST challenge this year at Double D
and we have a theme of
Christmas Trees
with a mood board for inspiration.

I created my last card for the holiday season using
the Sizzix three layered Folk Tree stamp,
one I acquired when they had one of their mega sales.
I stamped it in three different Altenew inks
Grass Field~Shadow Creek~Mountain Pine
then die cut it with a Tutti Designs postage die.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts and stramped with Gina K Designs Cherry Red.

I would love to see you over at Double D
and while there take a peek at all the
beautiful trees from our design teams!

Two Old Bats Reminder December 2024

Hi All, we are halfway through our challenge at Two Old Bats
and have a crazy fun inspiration/mood board
keeping in with the season even though we are a HALLOWEEN themed challenge
you can still have some seasonal fun!!

The snowmen kind of inspired me so I went with silly ghosts
drinking their wine!  The entire stamps used, sentiment included is from
Art Impressions Fright Night set, aren't they just too CUTE!!
Their wine was colored in with glitter markers to add a little sparkle.

Aren't these the happiest ghosts you have ever seen?  They remind me of
Ghostbusters!!

Come and have some spooky fun with us at Two Old Bats!!

Beautiful Blossoms December Challenge

Hello friends, it is our last monthly challenge at
Beautiful Blossoms this year and we have a pretty
mood board for inspiration but you can create anything as long as
you focal point is floral!

Being December is a busy month I kind of went the easy way with my card
by using a Concord & 9th  Sweet Bee  stencil and simply stenciling it in a teal
and pink color. A die and stamp set is also available with this set but I chose
not to use it this time, but you will certainly see it show up on my blog at some point
if you haven't already!
I used all Altenew inks for the stenciling and the sentiment is from Tonic.

We would love to have you join us over at Beautiful Blossoms
take a break for all that Christmas hullabaloo and have some floral fun with us!!

Peace On Earth Challenge #78

Ten days until Christmas, yikes, do you have your cards done?
Hopefully you have been playing along with our challenge all year long
and have plenty of cards created by now, but if not there is still time
to join our last Peace On Earth challenge for 2024!

We have a fun inspiration board but you can create anything as
long as it is Christmas themed!

I went entirely simple with this card letting my
Mintay Merry Little Christmas paper pad do all the work.

I added a Pretty Pink Posh Holiday sentiment and a few
Pink Fresh Studio Dixie Dust Glitter Drops to finish it off.
These papers make the most gorgeous cards and are
great for times like now when Christmas is so near!!

Hope to see YOU over at
Peace On Earth, there is still time!!

Merry Christmas

Hello friends, we have a new challenge theme at
Can You Handle The Pressure
where our challenge is all about embossing folders!
The theme is OPTIONAL but you have to use an
embossing folder to enter.

We also have a fun prize to one lucky random entrant and it is:

I used the same folder for my card plus an Organic Linen folder
from Altenew..  I embossed the Poinsettia folder on a die cut arch
from Spellbinders.  Funny thing is I had intended to cut the next size
arch to place under the embossed one (which I think I would of liked better)
but forgot my intentions and instead
embossed a complete panel for underneath, geesh, sometimes I
wonder where my mind is!!
A Hero Arts sentiment was stamped with Gina K Designs Cherry Red Ink
and a few gold half pearls were added.

Get those embossing folders out and come on over to
Can You Handle The Pressure!!

Santa Cupcake

Hello friends, at The Sisterhood of Crafters
our challenge theme is 'CHRISTMAS'!
Pretty darn easy for this time of year!

I pulled out a cute and fun never been used before
Cottage Cutz Santa Cupcake die.
I have to say this little 'rascal' was picky but also fun to make.
The Cottage Cutz dies when completed are always so worth it to me,
I think they are adorable with all the fun details!
I die cut him from all white card stock scraps then colored each piece in
with Copics.  The pretty papers came from
Echo Parks 2023 Have  Holly Jolly Christmas 6x6 pad,
one of newest and favorite Christmas pads!
I placed on a couple Tutti Design ovals.
I wasn't sure about adding a sentiment on the outside
so I simply left it off!

Head on over to The Sisterhood of Crafters
and have some 'Christmas' fun with us!!

Sparkling Holiday

Hello friends, it's a new month which means it's once again time
for our newest challenge at Love Those Pretty Papers
with an OPTIONAL theme of Christmas but you can use any pretty
papers you want as long as they are mainly the focus!

If you are familiar with Mintay papers then you know how
beautiful they are and several papers within the pad can easily make
'stand alone' cards just by adding the paper a few small details.
The paper I used is from their Winterland pad.
A few Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes were added that I topped with some sparkle by adding
some scrapbookdotcom silver glitter  'pops of color'.
The sentiment is Hero Arts.

For my anything goes card, I pulled an old pad out that I am trying to use up
from My Minds Eye Fine and Dandy Girl (2011).
I popped up (slightly) a piece of white card stock then cut a piece 4"x3"
designer paper for the front. I die cut a Freida Leaf
(not sure of the maker as it was a die given to me from a friend,
maybe Memory Box ?)
The sentiment was created on my Betterpress using the
Always and Forever plates and dies.
Just a simple card but I like it and a great way to use up some of those
'old' papers!

I hope you are enjoying our newest challenge, I know I sure am
as it 'forces' us to get out those pretty papers
and actually not hoard them but USE them!!

Hope to see YOUR pretty papers over at Love Those Pretty Papers!!

Anything Goes

Hello friends, we have an easy peasy challenge this month at
Simply Clean and Simple with no optional theme
just keeping it an ANYTHING GOES since December is
such a busy month for us all to even think about themes LOL!

I grabbed a scrap of designer paper and a fun
Poppystamps Petal Ribbon die, the flower centers were hit
with a bit of Nuvo drops.
The sentiment is from one you have probably seen a zillion
times on my blog from The Ton!

Come  on over to Simply Clean & Simple and take a break from
all that December hustle and bustle and have some quick fun with us!
We will return next month with a fun 'OPTIONAL. theme!

Word Power #12

It will be a complete year after this month that
our Word Power challenge has been going strong,
so how do you like it?  Are you having fun with it?
I know I am as it gives us another opportunity to use
more of my probably very neglected supplies!!
Our challenge is always anything goes as long as
your sentiment takes center stage!!

For my card today I used a die that I have only used once before.
It's a Memory Box 'Have A Holly Jolly Christmas' (2014).....
what does that tell you, I never get rid of anything, in fact when I hear of people 'purging' their supplies it makes me cringe,
I am a keeper of ALL lol!
I think the first and the last time I used it I made it into a
shaker card but this time I just die cut it and let it take center stage
for our challenge!  It was die cut from a Tonic silver metallic paper
and placed on a Mintay starry paper, not much more to say about it
but it will be an easy mailer and with the price of postage
going up and up, that is okay with me.

Come on over to Word Power and join in with us,
have a Holly Jolly Christmas yourself!!

Ornaments

Happy December!!
At Double D our fun theme is all about ORNAMENTS!
We want to see ornaments on your projects.
We have a fun and somewhat vintage inspiration board for you!

I have so many Christmas paper scraps that I adhered several down on a
piece of card stock then die cut my ornament with an IO ornament die.
The background is saved from an embossed vellum piece that was
the cover inside and envelope of a card I received, perhaps from Judy?
I pulled an already frame die cut (IO)from my stash and placed my ornament
inside the frame.  A Spellbinders handmade poinsettia was added to that!

Come on over to Double D and have some ornament fun with us
and check out all the beautiful inspiration from the design teams!!

Stencil Fun December 2024

Hello Friends, can you believe we are into
December of 2024 already?  It brings us to another challenge
at Stencil Fun where we have an optional theme of
Winter / Christmas
Or
you can create anything as long as a STENCIL was used .

Over the last few years my love for the use of stencils
has grown, almost out of control,
but how can you not love all the new stencils created just for
our card making pleasure?

For my Winter/Christmas I used this awesome
stencil for all my 2023 Christmas cards
and with the use of the 'platform' I was able to create 21 cards
in no time at all, an oddity for me!!
The stencil is Spellbinders Layered Joy Tree,
6 stencils in all.  All Distress inks were used except for I used
a gold Brilliance for the star and a few of the other 'bits'
you see.

I created 10 cards using a green card base, 10 using a red card
base and one using a pink card base (that one was my sample
and I decided I didn't want pink)!

Card #2

Card #3

For my anything goes card, I used The Waffle Flower
Wildflower stencil, it is a three layer stencil and
super easy to line up on the postage die.  The little sentiments
are part of the postage collection from Waffle Flower!
I used all Altenew inks for my stencil colors!

Come on over to Stencil Fun and have some stenciling fun with us,
there is a fun stencil prize up for grabs to one lucky random drawn winner!

Triple B December 2024

Hello friends, it is our last challenge for the year at
Triple B
where we feature birds~blooms~Butterflies!
You can use one, two or all three!
As always we have a mood board for inspiration!

For my card I grabbed a stamp set I received when I designed for
Sparkle N Sprinkle Callelya Friendship.
It felt good to pull it out and ink it up again once more!
It was die cut with a Cottage Cutz oval eyelet die then placed
on a die cut from my already die cut stash with a
Frantic Stamper Tumbling Blocks die.
The sentiment is from The Greetery!

Come on over to Triple B and show us your birds~blooms~butterflies!

Two Old Bats December 2024

Hello Two Old Bats Halloween fans
it's time once again for a creepy fun challenge with our
year round Halloween challenge.
We have a creepy fun, seasonal inspiration board for you,
but it is 'optional'!!

I let the creepiness of the mood board inspire me
and used my Cricut to create a spooky goblet of wine.
I layered it on a background paper from LDRS Haunted Halloween paper pack.
The little bat is from Prickley Pear and the spider from
Cheery Lynn Designs, both were just waiting on my desk to be used.
The sentiment is computer generated!

Hope to see you at Two Old Bats for some December Halloween fun!!

Colorful Options December 2024

Hello friends, Colorful Options has a traditional color theme this month
of RED~GREEN~GOLD
and a fun 'postage' inspiration board!

The vintage postage stamps 'spoke' to me and since I had the
Waffle Flower postage die and Christmas Stencil  to go with,
I figured it
would be a perfect match to this inspiration board.
I tried to stick mostly to the red, green and gold traditional colors
but because of stenciling one color over another a few got a little 'muddy'.
For the gold I used Dew Drop Brilliance Galaxy Gold,
IRL, you can see the shimmer of the gold.
The other color inks
were a mix of Dew Drop and Altenew..  The stamps are part of the
Waffle Flower postage collection.

Come on over to Colorful Options and have some 'colorful' fun with us!!

Four Seasons December Winter 2024

We are into our first month of WINTER at
The Four Seasons and have a mood board for inspiration
but you can create anything as long as it is winter themed
and you have until the 28th to do it!!

I let the cardinals inspire me and started with a winter gray card base,
it is actually much lighter in color then shown.
I pulled out an oldie for my frame using a NBUS Sizzix Bigz frame die
cut from white scrap card stock.  The branch is Cheapo Dies and the
cardinal is a Spellbinders (NBUS) also die cut from scraps and colored in with  a mix
of Olo's and Copic's!  The sentiment die and stamp are Lawn fawn!

Won't you come and have some WINTER fun with us at
The Four Seasons,
the design team has lots of beautiful inspiration!!

Peace On Earth Challenge #77

We are twenty five days away from Christmas, do you have your cards done?
If not, then it is a good time to get busy and join our year round
challenge at Peace On Earth
where we are an anything goes Christmas challenge but always
have an inspiring mood board for inspiration like the one below!

This is one of my favorite mood boards and I could of gone several ways
with it, but in the end decided to keep it rather simple!!
The stag in the upper left corner 'spoke' to me and I knew
I had several different options of stamps and/or dies to use and
I finally settled on the stamp Spirit Animals (never been used before) from
Fun Stampers Journey at Spellbinders which I picked up
very reasonable at one of the great warehouse sales!

The die he is stamped on is from Cottage Cutz,
The sentiment from Hero Arts and the paper is
Memory Place Dear Santa.

It's a simple card but I kind of like it and it will be a one stamp card for sure,
better yet, right?
Come and join our Christmas fun at Peace On Earth!!
