I am entering this card into the challenge at the
"Alphabet Challenge" blog "W" is for whatever you wish!

Hello Classy Friends.  Diane here with you today with a gorgeous card that I am
sure will make us all want those cold and dreary days to go away!!

I started my card out with the beautiful and very affordable embossing folder "Doily Lace".
To make my hydrangea "bloom", I used PanPastels Coloring Garden Kit  using the colors
Permanent Red first by sponging it on a scrap piece of paper, I then added Magenta on top,
giving a contrast in color.  Both these colors are included in the PanPastels coloring kit.

To cut my flower, I used Cheery Lynn Designs Tiny Flower Kit, cutting them out on my
prepared paper, I ran the die through three times, giving me plenty of flowers to work with.
I added tiny leaves using Impression Obsession "Leaf Cluster" underneath, also colored with the PanPastels Coloring Garden Kit.

The tiny hummingbird is a Cheery Lynn Designs die "Tiny Things With Wings" and
colored with Twinkling H2O's Autumn Brillance giving the bird a nice shiny look!!

The sentiment is JustRite's "Just The Right Words".  I finished my card by adding a pretty pink bow and Stickles to the flower centers.

I hope you have enjoyed today's post and will "see you" again soon!!

Quick and Simple Card Challenge at Impression Obsession

I am having so much fun getting back into my creative room.....
so nice to have a bit of "me" time after all the Holiday rush....
I saw the challenge at Impression Obsession to make a "quick and simple" card.
I had just recently received this wonderful IO DIE045-F and couldn't wait to use it.

This card took me just a matter of minutes...no kidding...all I did was
Emboss
Die Cut and
Adhere...that simple!!

I used a Shimmery white cardstock for my base
a Metallic purple paper for the die cut bird cage
Silver glitter paper scrap for the birds.
Added my silver metallic cord bow, a few gems and it was done!!
I think it will make a wonderful anniversary card!!

Bright & Beautiful

Hello Friends,
It's the day after Christmas, I feel like a free women, how about you?
No more wrapping, shopping, baking, cooking those special meals...woowho!!
I can do what I want , when I want...at least for a few days..LOL!!

I haven't done a challenge in quite some time and picked the challenge at
Cheery Lynn Designs "Anything Goes" to get me back into the "mode" so to speak!

I decided I wanted to use more of my "Shimmer Sheetz"
( that I showed in a previous post "HERE" ) in a different way.
I was wondering if they would work with the dies.....(besides the Sizzix Bigz dies)
I found with a bit of trial and error, they will work with a few of the ones that
aren't as "intricate" and they will not cut the word dies.

I used a Cheery Lynn Designs flower die "Stacker Flower #5" and it cut through
the Shimmer Sheetz quite well.  I did have to somewhat "punch" (carefully)
the petals out.
I used my Cuttlebug to cut with, using this stacking sequence:
on the base, C plate, shimmer sheetz, cardstock, die facing with cut side down, B plate
and then my Cuttlehug.
Now this is what worked for me, your machine could be quite different.  Never force
it through, you might break or damage your machine.

After my flowers were cut (I did 3), I ran them thru my dots EB folder, then sanded
them for a variation of color.  I wish you could see this flower in person, it is beautiful!!

I added a Cheery Lynn Designs "Victorian Romance" flourish, some pearls, TH Ideaology
paper, a stamp from Marianne Designs and was done!!

You can purchase the Cheery Lynn Designs Stacker Flower #5 and the
Cheery Lynn Designs Victorian Romance Flourish die
and a nice selection of Shimmer Sheetz
HERE (if you use the  code DIANE-10) you will receive 10% off.

Go Granny Go

Merry Christmas Eve to you ALL!!
I just wanted to let you know I have a card up on the blog
at Classy Cards 'n Such today.
If you would like to "visit" there and leave a comment
I would love it....thanks and don't forget to check out her sales
at Classy Cards 'n Such store....
and you can always use my code DIANE-10 for a 10% discount off!!

Diane here with you today on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog.
A  couple of very cute stamps to share with you.
"Granny" taking a cruise in her old jalopy to help out with a bake sale at the church.
Look out young and old alike, as she has the pedal to the metal and is on a mission
to get there quickly!! "Go Granny Go"!!!

I decided to make a little "scene" for "Granny"
by first sponging TH Distress "Broken China" ink on for the sky.
To the sky I added a few "puffy white clouds" popped up with "Joy Foam Pads small".
I hand cut a few "ridges" using the paper pad "Vintage Bliss"
Behind the "ridges" I added a few house and pine trees
using the Cheery Lynn Designs "Winter Neighborhood Border" die.

I  wrapped "Doodlebug twine" around twice and tied on my sentiment "Go Granny Go"
that had been stamped onto a Cheery Lynn Designs "Tags 4" die.

I think these cute stamps would be great to use for the "granny" in "your" life!!

Naughty or Nice

Hello, I bet you all are rushing around for the Holidays??
I know I am super busy, but had a bit of "me" time and wanted to get this posted

I am always looking at dies to use for other ways then intended, and came up with
this little number using the Cheery Lynn Designs Steampunk "corset".

All I can say is,  if my hubby brought this home to me, the only way he would see it
worn, was if he wore it himself...LOL.....

Anyhow I love how it came together, the die even has an "angel wing" that comes with
so you can cut the background piece as well.

The little hat is an old stamp I have had for ever it seems, I fussy cut it and added
a puffy paint and glitter for the "fur".
The little sentiment was computer generated.
I used a glossy card stock for the background and embossed it with a Cuttlebug
snowflake EB folder.
Added some glitzy ribbon and was done.

I don't think it can be much more "sparkly and shiny" as this!!!

Deck The Halls

I'm back with a card I made for CAS on Sunday.
This weeks theme is "Christmas"

I needed a quick Christmas card to mail to an Aunt, and wanted to keep it simple.
I think this one fits the bill so to speak!!

I stamped a Heartfelt pine branch, and added a Memory Box little star
I cut from a piece of red velvet Christmas ribbon.
The sentiment is from the same Heartfelt set as the branch!

We had our BIG family Christmas on Sunday.....
I am glad it is over, but I had a wonderful time spent with all the kids,
young and old alike.

I will be sharing a few photos here and there of it.
First up is my baby great-grandson Jensen...
I LOVE this picture...priceless!!!

And one of my many granddaughters "Harley".
She is four!!

Busy~busy...see you later!!

Gorgeous Corner Flowers

Sharing with you my post that is on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog today...enjoy!!

Hello Friends, glad to be with you here on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog today.
Can I say I LOVE a new product Classy Cards 'n Such is carrying in the shop?
I can, good because I LOVE these new stencils Beverly has added.

The one I am showing you today is called "Corner Flowers".  It is a larger stencil, making a larger card, so soft and pretty, I just have to give you a small tutorial of how I created it!!

I started with one of my new, all time favorite papers "Champaign Neenah Pearlized Metallic".
I use this paper a lot, as it is gorgeous and a wonderful quality!
I cut a piece of watercolor paper slightly larger then the "Corner Flowers" stencil and ran it through
my Cuttlebug using the normal stacking sequence you would use to emboss a Spellbinders die.
You will want to tape your die to the paper with removable  tape before running it through your machine, and leave the tape on after embossing.
I am using the watercolor paper for two reasons, one it is a bit thicker then an ordinary paper, giving a nice deep impression, and two, it will allow me to "color" on it very easily.

To "color" the flowers,  while the stencil is still taped to the paper, use "Perfect Medium" and
"pounce" it over your entire stencil, until you can tell it is all covered. Perfect Medium is the
pad, somewhat like Versamark that comes with your Perfect Pearls.
Carefully remove your tape from your stencil and lift the stencil off your paper (you don't want to bend your stencil or smear your paper).

Now, here is the fun part.  With a small paint brush, just dip your brush into Perfect Pearls ( you just need a little bit) and start "painting" your colors on.  After all the flowers are "painted", take a larger, soft brush, and brush  all the excess perfect pearls off onto a scrap piece of paper. I then, just slightly "heat set" the colors with my heat gun.   Wow, isn't it pretty?

Trim the extra off your finished piece, and slightly "pop" it up with "Joy Foam Pads Large"
To finish my card, I stamped a beautiful sentiment from JustRite's "Poppies Label Twenty Nine".
Then lined up a Spellbinders die from Decorative Labels Eight and cut out my sentiment.
I lightly sponged ink around the edge of the label, attached it to my card with Joy Foam Pads Small.
To finish off my card I added a small amount of bling, using Amber Rhinestones.

I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial today.  There are other "stencils" in the shop and more coming.
I will be back, with yet another "technique using the stencils, later in the month!

Celebrate The Wonder

Hi Friends, here is my post that is at the Classy Cards 'n Such Blog today.....
Take a peek at  Classy Cards 'n Such shop, there are some great sales going on!!

Hi, It's Diane here today on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog.
I just recently received some wonderful new dies from the Classy Cards 'n Such
shop that I am using today on my card.

I started with a plain white cardstock base, and random, hand cut two "snow drifts".
I stamped a row of pine trees along the top edge of one using the small tree stamp
from the Flourishes "Snow Scenes" set. I then added "Stickles" to the
top edges of the drifts.

The tree is cut with my new die from Memory Box Frosted Christmas Tree.
I learned something new about this die you can do.  Before you take the tree out
of the die, run your Versamark pad over it, making sure to cover all of it, remove it,
sprinkle your EB powder  or glitter on, heat set it and you have a perfectly
icy or snow covered tree!
I used a tinsel EB glitter on mine, making it really shine!  This is a fantastic, beautiful die
I can highly recommend!!

The Leaping Deer is also a Memory Box die.  I cut him with paper from Graphic 45
Twelve Days of Christmas 6 x 6 paper pad and sponged the edges of him with

The sentiment is from Flourishes "Snow Scene" set.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today...see you again soon!

12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist Day 10

This is my entry  for Day 10 of the 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist.
I know I still need to do 7,8 and 9, but this one came together so quickly
I decided to post it now!!

This one was super easy and super fast!  I had the Marianne die already cut for
another project and decided it was so pretty, it would fit the "feminine twist"
for today's challenge.

I stamped my poinsettia in a red, then topped it with a  silver  stamp pad for a bit of "shimmer".
I think this tag is going on one of my Mom's packages!!

On another note....how can things go along so smoothly one day
on your computer and the next day it has all changed without
"you" doing a thing???
Microsoft did an update, and nothing but problems with my emails since...ugh!!

12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist Day 6

I took some time out of my super busy life to try and get caught up on the

I love how tag 6 turned out, it was a fun tag, and I think the technique
Julia Stainton did is gorgeous!!

I did have some sticky back canvas and inked it first (mine was White)
then stamped a background stamp from Stampendous.
my frame was one I have had forever and I covered it with TH Distressed glitter
"antique linen"...wow...love this stuff!!

The Santa stamp is a TH, and he was stamped on Vellum cardstock....Julia heat set
hers and I couldn't figure out why mine was still wet after heat setting, well, forgetful
me, forgot to put the clear embossing powder on first...after that is was just fine!!!

I used SU markers to color him on the back of the Vellum CS.
A few little "do-dads" were added and I had a complete tag.....some of the "do-dads"
were vintage pieces...perfect!!

Hopefully I can fit in at least one other tag today...I am 4 behind.....

Crafty Secrets December Challenge

This is a quick post.....
and I want to apologize if I haven't been to your blog recently....
this is the most busiest week of the year for me.....
I have our family Christmas on the 15th......
we have gifts for 18 grandchildren, 2 greats, and 2 more we include...
that's a ton of shopping, wrapping, baking, cooking and decorating in a short time...
plus, I have a Christmas countdown with my Mom, sister, daughter and niece...
we have 24 gifts a piece...we buy 8 gifts for each...fun gifts
and then we each open one gift a day...today I opened a Spellbinders Poinsettia die....

And I had to cook for that...busy.....and I have to get my DT things sent
and I have an order for 5 Santa's to complete....
and while putting my lights on the tree yesterday, I had burnt out strands...
so now, have to run out today and look for some to match, as the tree is 2/3's lit!!!
And to top it all off, my internet is giving me fits.......

So.....I wanted to enter the Challenge at Crafty Secrets, as it is only one per month
I put together this card using bits and pieces laying on my table.....
the Santa image is from a Crafty Secrets Christmas Journal Notes pad....
I added some glitter to the reindeer and Santa.....

I'll be back soon...I promise!!

Merry Christmas Star Wreath

Can you believe Christmas is just around the corner??
Wow, it sure is sneaking up fast!!
I am sharing with you today my post that is on the
Classy Cards 'n Such blog today....
Check out the weekly specials going on at
Classy Cards 'n Such....this week it is foil at 14% off
and don't forget to use the coupon code DIANE-10 for 10% off your order!!

Hi, Diane with you today on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog.
One of my favorite looks for Christmas is "vintage and glitter".
Today's card somewhat falls into that category!

I used (as I have mentioned several times) one of my favorite
Classy Cards 'n Such papers Beverly stocks in her store
Champaign Neenah Pearlized Metallic.  I wish you could see this IRL,
as it is a wonderful weight paper with metallic that just shines!

I cut my wreath from the Memory Box Starry Wreath with a glitter paper.
For the center of my wreath, using the same paper, I cut a Cheery Lynn Designs
"Merry Christmas".  Just by changing the words in the center of the wreath, this
design could be used for many occasions, for example, wouldn't it make a
great "Happy New Years" card?

My wreath was attached with Joy Foam Pads Small behind some of the larger stars.
Adding a bow and an additional star to it's center and my card was complete!

Thanks for stopping by and hope to "see you" soon.!!

Rustic Wreath

Here is my card that is on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog today!
Make sure to visit the Classy Cards 'n Such online store, Beverly has some super sales
going on and you can always use the code DIANE-10 to get a 10% discount

Hi, It's Diane here with you today
singing a little tune in my head.
"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go".
Now that I have that jingle in your head, take a peek at my Christmas wreath card.
Love....love this embossing folder by Spellbinders called "Rustic Wreath".

Rustic Wreath may be the name for it, but in my opinion there is nothing rustic about it.
I think it is pure elegance and with Christmas fast approaching, a fast, but gorgeous
card is the way to go and so easy to mass produce!.

I embossed my card on green Cordinations paper and lightly sanded the area around the
wreath, and heavily sanded the wreath itself as I wanted it to stand out...
I added a few red berries (Baby Pearls) ,  a simple red bow, and this card is all but ready to mail!
I think this would a beautiful card using the Spellbinders Foil Papers, too!
It can't get much easier then this...a beautiful, yet fast card for the busy days ahead!!

12 Tags of Christmas Day 2

I have my tag done for Day 2 at Ellen Hutson's 12 Days of Christmas With a Feminine Twist.
I LOVE how this tag turned out and wish you could "see it in person"
as it is so pretty!!
I used a Cheery Lynn Designs die for my "insert".....
just cut it into pieces and popped up the back piece....

all the details can be found HERE if you want to join in!!

I will be back tomorrow with day 3!!!!

12 Tags of Christmas Day 1

I participate in Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist each year.
For day one it was using embossing paste and a stencil made from a die cut.
I cut a Sizzix tree die twice from heavy cardboard, taped them together and used
lightweight modeling paste for mine. I let it dry overnight and stamped on it when dry.
I cut it out and used TH Distressed markers for the green background on the tag.
Mine is nothing fancy, but it was a fun technique to try.

I did notice that one of my pearls is missing from the tree.....it has since been "corrected"..lol.
the link is here if you want to try it....
you might be motivated as she is giving away a $150 gift certificate to one lucky
random winner at the end of the 12 days!!!

December Daily Day 2

December Daily Day 2...easy...I spent the day Christmas shopping....
the page was easy, the shopping wasn't....
I had the most unpleasant clerk, that got mad at "me" when "she" overcharged
me by about $40 and I called her on it...it just went downhill from there...
so, it  was a pleasure to do my page tonight and not dwell on her rudeness.

Several years ago my DD bought me this too funny and too true stamp.....
on Dasher, on Dancer, on Master and Visa....
I thought it was perfect for my page for my shopping today....
fast post, I am working on my DT projects for Classy Cards 'n Such!

December Daily 2013

Well, I just happened to come across this site HERE
"Let's December Daily"
I have a love for small mini's
I have a ton to alter, but all I seem to do is to collect them....
So to get me in the "practice" so to speak...
I decided to do the December Daily journal...
A page a day for the month of December
wish me luck...as I will need it!!

Here is my cover....
I used paper from Melissa Francis, snippets of ribbons I had
(a great way to use them up)
a TH rosette snowflake I had already made (a time saver for sure)
I also used a SU punch for the spiral edges...love!!
The album I choose is a 4 x 5 Paper Reflection Memory Book I purchased from
Hobby Lobby in 2006, yep really 7 years ago...time to use it, don't you think??
This little book has 18 pages, so a few will have to be a double spread here and there..
I thought this would be fun as I have a ton of Holiday paper crafting supplies to use..

For my first page I knew I would be spending the day wrapping presents.
When I saw this MS paper with the packages on it I knew it would be perfect!
We have 22 grandchildren and 2 great....and we buy gifts...
so I have LOTS of wrapping to do.
I am shopping tomorrow for "the boys"....so
I know what day 2 will be.....
sound like fun???
Why don't YOU join in!!!

Christmas Bell

Enabling!!!
Today at Classy Cards 'n Such lots of dies
 are 17% off)
and don't forget to check the clearance section for even more savings!
Below is my post for today at Classy Cards 'n Such!

Hi, Diane here with you today on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog.

Do you have your Christmas cards done yet??  I am still working on mine.
I made a simple, fast, but "classy and pretty" card to show you today.

Embossing on plain white card stock, I added an intricate bell from
Cheery Lynn Designs "Bow and Bell".  Not only do you get the bell die,
but the bow as well.  Being the delicate die it is, I recommend using the
cuttlehug when running it through your die machine.

Now, I have to tell you about the bow.  You know the red velvet ribbon
you see sold on rolls for your outside wreaths?  This is what my "bow" is
cut from, giving a "velvet" texture to the card. don't you love the look of it?

I also added a sentiment from the Flourishes set "Country Time Christmas".
I added a real jingle bell , but for easy mailing purposes you might want to add
one of the "Jolly Jingle Bells" from Memory Box.

I hope you have enjoyed todays post and will be back again soon.

Christmas Candle ~ A Gift

This is my second post for today....
I should be cleaning my house for my guests since we had to move
our Thanksgiving to here...
but I like to live on the edge so to speak..LOL

I saw this challenge at Stampendous Impressions....
to make a "handmade gift"
I have a "love" thing for their stamps...
I have been doing my best at "collecting" them...
Last year around Christmas time I picked this one up....
a Christmas background stamp...love~love!!

I decided to do the easy peasy "stamp" on a candle technique...
well, easy, but I always seem to "heat up my hand" along with the wax paper.

These make such perfect gifts...and I love how this one turned out!!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Brrr...it's cold outside here in Michigan....
We were to go to the lake house for Thanksgiving...
We had guests coming to stay...
After much debate due to the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow...
we will have to cancel and stay home...
weather?.....7 to 12" of snow here......
not good driving conditions at all, especially when traveling with a dog and 3 cats!!

I made this card for the challenge at

Joan's Gardens

....
I like the simplicity of it.....
I always seem to have a cat at my tree at one time or another...
so I just had to add a "purrty" kitty!!
I sponged TH tea dye ink on my kitty, adding a few stripes.
the challenge is....
any colors
use a tree
use a window
use a product sold at Joan's Gardens.

I visited with Joan a few weeks ago and picked up this yummy pad of paper
by Authenique called "glistening".....it is the prettiest 6 x 6 pad of soft tones
of blues and tans which is what I used for my "wallpaper" and
my window....
The outside scene is a poppy stamp...
The kitty is an IO die
and the tree is a Memory Box die
the clock was added to my wall as I felt it just needed something in that spot.
That's it...hope you like it...stay warm!!

Snow Scenes Ornament

My card below is on the blog today at
Classy Cards 'n Such
and there is a sale going on with select
Cheery Lynn dies 25 to 40% off...
and while there you can purchase the beautiful Flourish set
I used on my card below and save 10%
on your purchase using my discount code DIANE-10.

Hi, Diane here with you today on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog.

One of my favorite color combinations for Christmas is silver and pink.
However, those colors don't fit in my home, being a log home, at all.

But I can pacify my love of it by creating cards in those colors.  Which brings us
to today's card!  I love a vintage look and when I saw the Flourishes "Snow Scenes"
stamp set Beverly has in her shop, I knew it was for me.

I started my card with a plain white card stock, adding a piece of design paper I
had on hand.  It was adhered with 1/2" Scor-tape.  On top I layered a gorgeous
doily cut from Cheery Lynn Designs Pinwheel Doily with Angel wing
(and this doily is on sale in the shop right now).

I cut an ornament for Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornaments.
I stamped my cute little children building a snowman from the Flourishes set "Snow Scenes"
with Versamark, then heat set with a silver embossing powder.
Around the edge of the ornament I added Art Institute Adhesive and sprinkled
that with the gorgeous Tim Holtz Distress Glitter Spun Sugar!  I tied a real jingle bell
to the bottom, but you could use the Memory Box Jolly Jingle Bells for mailing purposes
To finish off my card I added 3 snowflakes from
Cheery Lynn Designs Snowflowers set #1 and Snowflowers set #2 I covered with glitter..

I think it turned out beautifully.
I hope you enjoyed today's post and will "see you" again soon!!

I am entering this in the Cheery Lynn Designs challenge
 "non traditional" Christmas colors

AND

in the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge "Winter Scenes"

Christmas Wreath

We have our power back...yeah!!!
After four long days, I can finally have a somewhat "normal" life again.
It's amazing how our lives revolve entirely around "power"

I have many wreath dies, which I love, as you
can "season" them up (as I call it) for any season you choose
I love the simplicity of this wreath, actually wish
I had a real one to hang in my home for the holidays.
Can you believe how soon Christmas will be upon us?
What is your favorite memory for Christmas?
One that maybe you still carry on yet today?
Mine is how on Christmas Eve we always went to the candlelight
service at church...
I loved that, it was so peaceful, so beautiful, so what Christmas
is really about.
Today, my husband and I still go
to a candle light service at this small country old church.
A church we don't belong to, but they open their arms to us on this special night
It is usually snowing, blowing, but so worth the effort.
After the service we all stand in a circle around the entire walls of
inside the church with lit candles and sing Silent Night...
now that is Christmas!!!

Dream

Okay, first I have to say, this is not my usual style, not by any means...
but when someone puts a challenge out there, I had to jump right in!!

Not only is there a challenge at Papercrafters Corner for Magazine Monday
using the cover shown below, but my friend Dar challenged me to do it....
how can a girl resist.

I looked and looked at this cover, and it had to be one of the hardest yet!!
But, then I remembered years ago, before our wonderful scrapbook store
shut it's doors, they had a paper crafters "garage sale" of sorts.....
you could bring in all your  unwanted stuff, they gave you a number and you sold it...
I had picked up this HUGE bag of old labels and vintage prints and such...perfect
for this challenge.....so here it is...
I focused on the words, colors, the photos  and just the vintage feel of it......
the center photo is an old playing card, the jack of hearts to be exact!!

Hello, Diane here with you today on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog.

Today I have a fast and easy card to share with you, though it looks as
if you spent hours creating it!!  It took me about 30 minutes to create!

I first embossed my white card stock, then drew a light circle on so I would
have a starting point for my wreath.  I had a button jar sitting on my table,
so I just traced the lid from that.

I used the Cheery Lynn Designs Wreath Strip to cut my twig branches.
I cut 6 strips, you get 3 large branches and 4 small, all from one Wreath Strip die cut.

Each twig branch has a little piece on the end to connect one to the other with a brad
if you want, but for this design, I snipped each off, it only took a couple of minutes to
do that.  I placed all the bigger branches on first, then filling in with the smaller ones.
To adhere the branches, I put some Art Adhesive glue on my mat and dipped the ends
only of the branches in it.

I know it does not show in the picture, but I "painted" Stickles here and there to give a
bit of  "sparkle" to the wreath.
I added a bow and left my wreath, as is, but you could decorate anyway "you" want
by adding Pearls or Rhinestones to change the look.

I am entering this in the challenge at City Crafters to "decorate" a wreath.

Hope you have enjoyed my quick project for today, and try one yourself.
See you soon!!

Tags for Christmas and The Power Outage

First up I made a couple of quick tags for the challenge at Impression Obsession
using two of their new dies I just received.   I had been wanting that little sled one
"forever"...but it was "forever" sold out where I shop...it came in the mail yesterday....
perfect timing, as it was a nice "pick me Up" I needed just about then!
and the cute little igloo I picked up a week or so ago.  the sentiment on the sled tag
is also an IO stamp from one of their grab bags of stamps I purchased

The challenge is to make a card, tags or gift.......due to my not so wonderful start
of the week I choose to make tags....

Now onto the power outage.
I am sure you all have seen the terrible storms the Midwest had on Sunday, and the homes
destroyed in Illinois and Indiana....I feel terrible for them...we lost our power
and though it is an inconvenience, we at least still have our homes!
Our power went out on Sunday around 3:15pm and it is to be on no later then Saturday
morning...it is/has been a hard week.  We heard the storm go over and about 8 miles straight
east of here they had a F1 tornado touchdown.
We were lucky.

I am sharing a few photos of my week so far (don't laugh)!!

The first is after the storm early Sunday morning around 5am I saw this in the sky...
it put on quite a show...beautiful...
I did not alter this photo in anyway....

Next picture is Sunday night...self explanatory

Then is the wire mess of a generator...

Monday the DH had had it, and bought this...this is what we are living with for the week.

So there you have it...my life as it is right now...no water, no toilet (ahem)..nothing to
cook with...but I do have our lives, home and we are safe...I am grateful!!!
