It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Brrr...it's cold outside here in Michigan....
We were to go to the lake house for Thanksgiving...
We had guests coming to stay...
After much debate due to the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow...
we will have to cancel and stay home...
weather?.....7 to 12" of snow here......
not good driving conditions at all, especially when traveling with a dog and 3 cats!!

I made this card for the challenge at

Joan's Gardens

....
I like the simplicity of it.....
I always seem to have a cat at my tree at one time or another...
so I just had to add a "purrty" kitty!!
I sponged TH tea dye ink on my kitty, adding a few stripes.
the challenge is....
any colors
use a tree
use a window
use a product sold at Joan's Gardens.

I visited with Joan a few weeks ago and picked up this yummy pad of paper
by Authenique called "glistening".....it is the prettiest 6 x 6 pad of soft tones
of blues and tans which is what I used for my "wallpaper" and
my window....
The outside scene is a poppy stamp...
The kitty is an IO die
and the tree is a Memory Box die
the clock was added to my wall as I felt it just needed something in that spot.
That's it...hope you like it...stay warm!!

Diane, very pretty card. Great choice of papers and I like the kitty too. Great job.
We could be getting the snow too and we are coming to Michigan for Thanksgiving. Of course, it could miss us. Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Thanks so much for joining us at Joan's Gardens for our weekly Challenge.

Sorry you had to change your plans but that is smart-no fun driving in snow like that! Take care!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

OH WOW Diane ... I just LOVE the scene you've created! (I had this exact view out my kitchen window only a few days ago! LOL)
You know I'm not a 'kitty' person but your cat was the perfect addition to this homey scene! LOVE how you made the 'stripes' ... aren't you clever!!
AWESOME JOB!
Sorry you're not going to be able to make it to the Lake House this Thanksgiving but I'm glad you're 'playing it safe' ... HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you & yours my friend!
Ooooo guess I need to switch the mower & snow blower around ... hmmmm!

Diane, this is so pretty! It looks very cozy and makes me look more forward to Christmas. I especially love that you added the kitty to the scene. I don't blame you for not wanting to drive in a foot of snow. Sounds like it would have been a wonderful Thanksgiving, but I know you'll have a beautiful time at home, as well.
