This is my post live today on the
Tutti Designs blog.
Have you see the new
Tutti Designs July release yet?
It's in-store, the link is below....
You will want these, they are gorgeous and so very reasonably priced, too!
Happy Thursday to you!
Diane with you today with a beautiful Poppy Edge die.
Our blog leader and my friend Darlene is in Alaska as I write this
and I thought how fun to create a
Himalayan Blue Poppy in honor of her trip!
I have tried to grow these in my garden to no avail,
so I guess the next best thing is having a Blue Poppy Card!
I cut the poppy die once from green card stock,
then once again from white card stock
but this time only cutting the flowers.
I easily trimmed them to fit over the green base die cut.
I also punched 2 gold glitter circles to place under the flower heads.
The flowers were then colored with Copics, then adhered to
the green die cut base, and slightly curled up.
A sentiment was stamped using JustRite stamps
and a few sequins were added.
Make sure and check out all the great places to
visit the new Tutti Designs dies.
Thank you for visiting with me today.....
"I" will be here each and every Thursday!!
Come back tomorrow for more fabulous inspiration!
Happy creating!
Diane

Oh it's lovely!! I've never seen blue poppies ... they are wonderful in your photo and on your amazing card!
Hi Diane,
A really gorgeous card showcasing so well a magnificent die, and wow! what amazing colours of blue in those poppies.
I guess you need a Himalayan climate to grow them eh?
Thanks so much for the inspiration.

Beautiful, Diane. Love the blue and that you let that beautiful die be the focal image.
The blue poppies are so gorgeous, aren't they? I've never tried to grow them. Wonder if our climate is Himalayan enough? The poppy die is just perfect for them and they look so beautiful on your card. Love them with that sweet green and the glittery centers. That's a great idea! We're off to the river with the dogs today, but, boy, have I ever been working hard in the garden lately. Lots of new plantings, but still no blue poppies.
