Masculine Card

Design Team Member At

It's June first and that means a new challenge theme at
and it is 'It's Dad's Day' (masculine).

I went with a water theme built with just a few fun dies!
I had the little Impression Obsession lighthouse already
\colored and sitting on my desk as well as the
Tutti Designs Postage Die.

I used the Frantic Stamper Freeform Waves,
they are longer then shown, but for my card,
I snipped off the over hang on the card front.

I made the ahoy using Cheapo Dies Font Freedom
and added an anchor slightly between the A and H
also from the Impression Obsession Nautical set
die cut from a silver metallic paper.

Take a peek over at the  Dies R Us challenge blog
as there is fabulous inspiration there!!

We have some exciting news to share with you. Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

What a great card! Using the postage stamp die to accentuate the smaller dies is a brilliant way to bring attention to them. Love this idea so much!

WOW this is awesome and perfect for anyone who loves being by the water! I'm in awe of your overall design and that sentiment is FABULOUS! How clever ... will have to keep that idea in mind! I've used the alpha letters before but never thought too add something (like the anchor) that ties it all together! GREAT thinking and fabulous creation! YOU GO GIRL!!

Great layering to create a fun scene. I love the anchor by the sentiment and the wave is a perfect background.

This card is just great all over, Diane! Lots of creativity in how you used the waves in the background with the lighthouse scene over top. Maybe my favorite part is the ahoy and anchor. LOVE how you did that!
