Sweet Day

It's a new challenge theme at 
The Sisterhood of Crafters  and the theme is 'FLOWERS'
hosted by our 'sistah' Darlene.

What could be a better theme for May right?
All the pretty Spring flowers are coming to life from their long winter naps
to spread joy with their beautiful blooms!

I have to admit that I have an addiction not only to the layered flower
stamps and dies but also to the layered stencils.
However, that being said it not a bad addiction at all
but  a beautiful one to have!!

This card was created with layered stencils from
Pink Fresh Studio Daisy Wreath,
It also has a matching die to make even more card designs.
Isn't it gorgeous?  Just think of all the pretty colors you can create with this,
I used the Altenew cube set Sweet Dreams and also Dew Drop inks
New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves.

I used a white Signo pen and added dots to the flower centers.

The sentiment is also from Pink Fresh Studio Simply Sentiments Hello
stamped on a Pretty Pink Post Stitched Strip die that is trimmed down.

The stencils make a very fast card to create.

Ship In A Bottle

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today:

 Summer will be here before you know it the way time flies by

and Tutti Designs sure has a LOT of fabulous summer dies,
the Ship In A Bottle and the Fishing Net being two of their many to choose from! 

A really nice thing about the Ship In a Bottle die is that when cut, the ship is separate
giving you many more options to create and use it.
Not much explanation of what I did here as it's pretty self explanatory!
I did place the fish net underneath, what a fun die it is!!

Flowers of the Month July Thru December

It's the third Wednesday of the month and that brings us
to a new challenge theme at
Double D Challenges
and PART 2 of  our
Flowers of The Month theme!

For this challenge we want to see any flowers
July thru December!
There is an awesome mood board and
a list of flowers to get you inspired!

I have a few different poppy stamp sets and went with one
that I have had for quite some time
JustRite  'Poppies Labels Twenty Nine' which are now out of business.
I have had these in my stash for many years now
about time they made an appearance!

I embossed a Sizzix paper background
that seemed the perfect color for my poppies
then colored the poppies in with Copics.

The little poppies sentiment is stamped on a  
Cheery Lynn Designs Tags 4 which I added a little hemp bow to.

Slimline Trellis Background

This is my card on the Tutti Designs blog today!  

Hello Tutti Fans, today I am using a very pretty and very useful

die for all your slimline cards and it is the 
Slimline Trellis Background,
isn't it pretty!

I die cut from card stock then used the Tulip Corner die
in each corner, cut once from green card stock and then
just the tulip parts in red and paper pieced them on/
What a perfect Spring card for May don't you think?

I cut a couple Scalloped Stitched Ovals for the sentiment and stacked one
on the other.

Bluebird Birthday

 

Hello and welcome to another challenge at
Dies R Us
where our theme is always ANYTHING GOES!

I think I was in the quilting mood this month
since I have used quilting dies for my cards.

I LOVE this pretty die and the beautiful stitching on it
and it die cuts in two pieces allowing you to
die cut in a few different ways.

The die is Impression Obsession Quilted Frame.
I die cute in both pink and white card stock
giving me the reverse colors for another card.
Happy Birthday was stamped on the oval
then I added a barberry die from ScrapMan dies
which was paper pieced for the berries.

I added two of the cutest plump bluebirds
form Poppystamps Whittle die collection 'Whittle Birds'.

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Giant Jack-O-Lantern

We are halfway thru our Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge
and this is my card for the reminder to join in with us.
It seems the Halloween season is so short so a good way to
use some of your Halloween stuff ALL year long!

This is our May mood board to give you some inspiration,
though our challenges are always ANYTHING GOES!

I let the bottom left corner inspire me with that big smiling
Jack-O-Lantern!

I used some Glitz Halloween 'What Nots' and a Halloween
greeting from Stampin' Up!
The background paper was in my Halloween scrap bag of papers!

I added a few little polka dot 'candi's' for fun!
So I sure hope you will grab your Halloween supplies

 It's that time again for a new challenge theme at
The Sisterhood of Crafters chosen by our
'sistah'  Annie and it is Stripes and Dots.

I purchased a new stamp set for this for my stripes and dots
and it is Colorado Craft Company Dots and Stripes.

I had to stamp the background several times and it's
a good thing I had my platform to do so to get a complete image
and still managed to make a few errors along the way,
hence the placement of my Roses which BTW are from
Sunny Studio Everything Roses stamp and die set.

The sentiment is an oldie I have had forever in my stamp stash,
stamped on an oval from The Scrapping Cottage.

The little butterfly is a Sue Wilson.

Butterfly Oval

 This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today:

Hello Tutti fans, today I am showing the pretty and detailed

Butterfly Oval die.
I cut this die from a beautiful metallic purple mirror paper
(hence the darker photo).

I also cut a second time just the butterflies and snipped them off
to add more dimension!

The die cut was them placed on a Stitched Scalloped Oval.

Hello All. it's that time again for a new challenge theme at

I am an avid gardener and one of my all-time favorite Spring flowers
is the Daffodil!   I have 30 some varieties in my gardens
and seem to pick up a new Daffodil stamp yearly...I can't help myself!

This years NEW stamp is

Penny Black Daffodil Devotion.

Such a pretty little container of Daffodils!

I stamped and then colored in with Copics and a mix of
Tonic alcohol markers.
The pretty scallop rectangle is from Cottage Cutz.

Ready to see some pretty flowers that will knock your socks off
or flip flops as the case may be?

Best Friends

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today!

 Hello Tutti fans, I have a cute card using a die that is 'purr-fect' for

anytime of the year and especially for family and friends that love cats!

The die is called 'Best Friends' and if you have a cat you know how that can be!

I have kept this card simple by die cutting in white card stock
then paper piecing the cat and coloring in the rest. 

I placed the die cut when finished on a Stitched Scalloped Circle
then stamped what I though a great sentiment on a
Stitched Scalloped Rectangle.

Pumpkins Galore

 It's a new challenge at Two Old Bats Halloween challenge
and we have a fun mood board to inspire you.
You don't have to use it but maybe it will give you a few creative ideas!
The theme is always  ANYTHING goes Halloween!

I let the jack-o-lanterns inspire me, my Stampendous stamp
reminded me so much of the ones on the mood board!

I simply colored them in with copics and then inked around them
for some color.  A scrap of designer paper
was placed behind the image.
The little BOO was part of an OLD Justrite set,
I stamped then used a round punch!

Happy Birthday

 I am slowly trying to get back into challenges
and decided to join in the fun at Seize The Birthday.

I purchased this cute Deep Red Birthday Cat stamp awhile ago
to make cute birthday cards with and finally have the opportunity to use it.

The sentiment is all part of the small stamp.

When I saw that the optional topping was Furry Friends
this stamp immediately came into mind.

I stamped on watercolor paper and colored with Tombow markers
the die cut with a Tutti Designs Cross Stitch postage die.

I used a very old and neglected MS Floral Vine punch for the bottom of
the Pebbles design paper, this paper dates back to 2013!!

I added a few gingham 'candi's' to finish!

A Quilted Birthday

Happy May 1st!!
It's a new challenge starting today at Dies R Us
and as always our theme is now ANYTHING GOES
making it no excuse for you not to join in
after all not only do we have Top Picks
we have a random prize!

I have always been drawn to the quilt dies.
They ae so fun to created with various colors of card stock
and this die from Impression Obsession 'scalloped Pinwheel'
falls into the FUN category!

I had a paper pad from tonic with these two colors in it
and thought perfect for my 'quilt'.
The entire quilt piece you see is all from the same die
making lots of color options.

For the sentiment I used Tutti Designs Dotted Rectangles.
