Happy March to you!!!!
I am excited about bringing March "in"...as us Michiganders where I am at
know we won't have long to wait before we can start to see signs of Spring...
in fact, I can see the Daffodils popping up out of the ground in the snow...
and it's 29 degrees outside today...brrr...
I have been making so many fancy and a bit more time consuming flowers, that
I decided to switch it up (or down as the case may be) and make easier flowers....
I used Tim Holtz tattered flower garland to make these little beauties.....
they were painted with 2 colors of Claudine Hellmuth Studio paints
which actually gave them a "streaked effect"'much like a real flower.....
the card base itself is a sizzix EB folder I water colored on with my TH Distress Markers.....
I cut a background center from the Cheery Lynn Designs "mesh border"
both the scallop circle and the mini doily (also a Cheery Lynn die)
came right out of the old stash pile..yeah!!
I made this card for the challenge at Joan's Garden's
this week it is to get a bit "creative"
the rules are to use a lattice
use an inked embossing folder
use a circle or oval
and to make a painted flower.....
so, I think I have it all covered!!

Happy March 1st to you as well-love your pieces
What a great idea on these flowers ... they look fabulous! I'm just now trying to get something in my mind for the challenge ... you have certainly inspired me my friend!
I know what you mean about SPRING ... I've already had daffodils come be bud only to be frozen out ... so sad! But I hope I have enough planted that I'll still see some beautiful color to come.
I am SO LOOKING forward to seeing you in the Spring ... but until then, stay in touch, keep making all these beautiful creations that inspire me and STAY WARM!
