Patriotic ~ Support Our Troops Challenge at Double D

Time for a new challenge at Double D
and 'Team Darlene' is on board with the theme
'Patriotic/Support Our Troops'
and using the inspiration tile below.

I decided to join in with the challenge myself
and had so much fun using a few things from my ever growing 'stash'!

I purchased the stamp I have used several years ago.
It is a Deep Red stamp called 'My Country'.
I think this is the first time it has 'seen ink"
which just goes to show I have too much!!
I stamped it with Versamark then used a
fine black embossing powder.

I made a few Rosettes with a Tim Holtz die
and I love the dimension they add to the card.

I used Impression Obsession 6 in 1 Frame die (using 3 of them)
around my image....this is a must have die, I just love it
and can't believe I waited so long to purchase it!
The 'star' paper is Bo Bunny
and the stripe papers are from a Tim Holtz Christmas pack.

The star is a Marianne Designs die....
I love the pretty edge it has on it!

A few 'candi's were added to finish.

So why don't 'YOU" head on over to the Double D challenge blog
and see all the beautiful work by the DT...join in with us
for your chance to win a fabulous prize!!PS:

PS:  Don't forget to go to the  post above this one, and sign up for a chance to win...just read the quick rules and good luck!!!

OMG this is just filled with patriotism and I love it!! What a wonderful tribute to our country and troops! Your design elements are fantastic! Love the image ... how sad that we don't do the Pledge of Allegiance or sing this song in our schools anymore! Thanks for awesome inspiration my friend!!

Wow! This card has all the right stuff! I've examined all the details very closely and it passes muster beautifully. Glad you got to use one of your never-before-used stamps, too. I'm a fan of all those IO frames. Got them in rectangle, square, and oval, and they are some of my most useful dies ever. Love the way you combined the red, white and blue on this one. Those distressed papers are awesome.

Hi Diane! What a spectacular and gorgeous creation! There's just something about the good old red, white, and blue that perks me up and with July 4th right around the corner it is perfect!
