Hi, Diane with you today.

I just returned from vacation and had a beautiful package
from Classy Cards 'n Such waiting for me when I returned home!
Not only was it fun to come home to,
but wrapped so beautifully, I didn't even want to open it!

But open it I did, and one of my new things in it was a
Spellbinders  Foliage Lattice die.
This is a 2 piece die set, allowing you to use just one die as I did,
or using the second die to cut it out, (I will do that in another post)!
If you look closely, you will see it also embossed a beautiful floral design.

Behind the lattice die I used snippets of Watercolored Memories paper by Ken Oliver.
I love the way the color peeks through the lattice.

I added a few flowers, first stamping with Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose,
then cutting out with the Heartfelt Creations Botanical Wings die.

I used just the smaller of the flower dies in the set and colored with
PanPastels Flower Coloring Kit and
forming my flowers with the Paper Blossoms Craft Molding Mat and
Each flower was finished with a Green Rhinestone in the center!

Thank you for visiting with me today!!

Un-frog-gettable

This is my post on the
Dies R Us blog today!!

Hi there, it's time for me to share with you another
card using the wonderful dies carried in the

I went with something a bit different today,
as I seem to make mostly "girlie" cards
(my favorite to make)
and went with one for the "boys"

If you grew up with brothers or had/have sons of your own,
I think you can relate to this card..lol!

I remember growing up with my brother and his endless
"critters" he brought home to "torment" his sisters with.
Even to put a snake in the washing machine!

So my card is a bit of a childhood memory,
starting with a great and detailed pocket die
from Frantic Stamper called Jeans Pocket.
Can't you see this being a "girlie" pocket, too?

I cut the pocket from a blue paper and added brads
for a more authentic "boys" jeans pocket look!

The frogs you see leaping out of the pocket
are from PoppyStamps Pond Frogs
which are no longer in stock, BUT
did you know Dies R Us has their own brand of dies?
They sure do and you could use Dies R Us Frogs.
I cut the frogs from a handmade mulberry paper,
then used an embossing folder for their "warts"

Make sure and visit us Monday-Friday for more Dies R Us inspiration.
Join us at our Dies R Us challenge blog for a chance to win
a gift voucher to the Dies R Us store!

I will see you next Thursday,
Diane

OH Happy Day

We are back with another new challenge at
and Agatha is our hostess.
She has chosen "Back To School" as our theme.

How many of you are ready to see "back to school"?
Come on, raise your hands, now don't be shy,
really.... that many of you...wow...LOL!

Fortunately, I don't have to deal with school issues anymore,
as all my kiddos are grown.
I know it sounds silly, but I always loved taking them school shopping
and sort of miss that.
They were always so excited to pick out their own school supplies
not so much about the clothes!

My card today is made first with an embossing folder I have had forever
it seems, and I am not sure if I have ever used it before!

The school bus image is one I won from Stitchy Bear Digitals.
When picking out my free images I kept a few of the upcoming
challenges in mind and loved this one!
I "doctored" up the bus a bit with button glittery wheels,
added stardust to the flamingo, sparkle head light
and sequins exhaust!!

The "happy day" (funny, isn't it?) ticket I also have had forever
and the same for the felt sun!
The inside of the card is finished just as cute as the outside!

Now head on over to  "The Sisterhood" challenge and see
what my "sistahs" have created, and why not join in with us
while you are there!!

Hi, Diane with you today with a card I made for our
latest challenge Back To School
I think this will be a cute card to send to one of the grand-kiddo's!

I started by using Dreamweavers White Embossing Paste
on Kraft card stock and Memory Box Texture Dots Stencil.
The paste was applied with a Palette Knife.
A fun way to add a bit of texture to a project.

I used an embossing folder I had for the ruler strip you see,
which I ran black ink over once it was embossed.

I cut a bushel basket and several apples using
Impression Obsession die Bushel of Apples.

The blackboard is Canvas Corp paper called Chalkstock,
which I used a white Signo pen for the words.

I added the "pets" using Impression Obsession Squirrel Set.

Sun-shiney Yellow

Hi there!
Is it starting to feel like fall in your neck of the woods??
This is the month where we start to have crazy weather
in Michigan.
You can go from flipflops and shorts in one day
to a hoodie and jeans the next,
and back to hot and humid days in a blink of an eye!
I actually kind of love it though.
You can just "smell" fall in the air.
a nice clean, crisp smell.....
one I look forward to every year!

Speaking of fall, sunflowers seem to scream fall to me!
I have yet to be lucky enough to have some sprout up
from leftover, dropped birdseed.
But I have a super cute sunflower image from Crafty Secrets
that is just as nice!!
The image is from
Crafty Secrets Digital Flowers Printable Sheet DPS-11.
There are nine wonderful images in this set for a mere $1.95!!

I mounted the image on yellow/gold card stock,
added glitter to the flowers for a bit of sparkle!

From the Crafty Secrets  Mini Vintage Scraps Digital Download DPCS-818,
I punched out an image and coated it with Glossy Accents
and adding a TH clear "facet" on top.
After adding a ribbon bow, I added it to the center of the bow!

The pretty lattice underneath, I used
Crafty Secrets Pastel Paper Designs.

Pop on over to the Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage blog and see some
wonderful inspiration!

Lazy Days

Hi there.....boy am I a doodoo bird....
this was suppose to post on Friday.....
I don't know what happened...
so here it is now....geez!!

I used the cutest image from Crafty Secrets
called Sweet Kids Digital stamps.
The sentiment is from the same set.
I colored in the cute little napping girl
with Copics.....
I am so envious of her hammock...
sounds good right now to be doing just that!

I somewhat fussy cut her out,
then cut a heart from Pastel Paper Pad
added a pretty double ribbon bow, a heart button
(It's purple, though it looks green)
a bit of fun rick rack at the bottom and I had a
pretty card to send!!

and the Crafty Secrets online store,
so as not to miss a thing.

If you want to pop back by around "noonish" or so tomorrow,
I will have another Craft Secrets project for you!

See ya!!!

Hi Diane with you once again.
As I promised last Saturday I have another
card to show you , using the new
Ken Oliver Color Bursts.

I once again used the smooth side of water color paper.
Using the Spritzer Bottle, I lightly spritzed water
on, then using Ken Oliver Lemon Yellow  Color Burst first,
then followed by Orange, I lightly squeezed the bottles
to get it to puff on.

Using the heat gun I totally dried my piece,
then used the Anti Static bag to go over it.

I stamped the B-Line Large Butterfly with Versamark ink,
then embossed with Sparkle N Sprinkle Black Fine Detail embossing powder.

I layered yellow, then white card stock and adhered my image

A sentiment was added using Sweet 'n Sassy Companion Words Stamps.
These are a great sentiment set, as you can mix and match the words!

This is a quick and easy way to make a beautiful card
that is quite easy to mail!

Star Dust

Hi there!
I have a very quick card to show you today
using one of the new release dies from PoppyStamps
called "Stacked Stars".
Now I hate to say, but at the time of this posting,
this star die just flew out the door,
but if you can't wait for it to return,
try typing Star or Stars into the search button
and you will be amazed at how many there are to choose from.
Heck, I put the links in for you, so it couldn't get any easier!

I first applied a piece of sticky back paper to my gold foil paper,
then cut it out, making it super easy to attach to my base.

Speaking of the base,
I stenciled it with Gold Embossing Paste and
using one of the many stencils in store.
I used Memory Box Texture Splatter Spray,
would be good choices, too...depending on the look you want.

I finished with a gold bow.
I think this would make a great golden anniversary card,
just by adding the numbers.
I am using it for my granddaughters 21st birthday
and on the inside it will say celebrate!

Don't forget to visit our challenge blog,
not only is there great inspiration to see,
but it's loads of fun to join in and maybe win a prize!!

Elisha At The Cutting Cafe

Hey there!

Today is my super cute project (at least I think so...lol)
I did for The Cutting Cafe blog.

We were to use an Elisha Jean and Friends set.
I have to admit it was a hard choice as all of the
sets (and there are several) are so darn cute!!

I printed her out, then totally paper pieced her dress...
even added a bit of real rick rack at the bottom!

The balloon was paper pieced as well.
I also cut her a kitty, being a cat lover myself
and cut him a bow tie from the same set!

I just love how this turned out...so sweet...
oh, and there are five sentiments that come with this set as well!

Now make sure to visit The Cutting Cafe blog
on August 21st and see what the Design Team has created
to inspire you...it is always amazing....I just love this team!!

Pretty Vellum

This is my post today at
Classy Cards 'n Such for our challenge
using the inspiration photo below.
You can use my code DIANE-10 anytime
to save 10% on your order.

Hi, Diane with you today.
We are on our 98th challenge and this week
it was a color photo inspiration.
One thing I love about color inspirations,
is that you can go with all the colors, or just pick out a few like I did.

I chose blue, pink and the green, plus adding polka dots
as shown in the photo.  Scroll on down on the blog to see
the inspiration photo, and we would love to see you join us
with YOUR interpretation of it.

I love vellum, and I love coloring on vellum,
which is what I did for this card.
I started first by inking Heartfelt Botanical Rose
with Versamark, embossed with Sparkle N Sprinkle White Fine Detail
embossing powder.

Then using the coordinating Heartfelt Botanical Wings die,
I cut it out. then I colored on the back of the vellum with Copics.

The green leaf stamp is part of the Botanical Rose stamp set,
and the leaf die is part of the  Heartfelt Botanical Wings die set.

I carefully used the Paper Blossoms  Craft Molding Mat and Tool Kit
to shape my flowers.

I cut a white card stock base to adhere the flowers to
which I used a Spellbinders Scallop Borders Three die
for a pretty and decorative edge.

I tucked a piece of Graphic 45 Botanical Tea  6 x 6 paper
under the scalloped edge.

I finished off with a ribbon bow, a few leaves and Pink Pearls.

Thank you for visiting with me.

'Abc - 123' At The Shabby Tea Room

Hi All,
It's the middle of August and time for another challenge at

Our challenge theme is ABC-123 using the inspiration photo below.

Our sponsor is The Paper Temptress.

All papers I have used  are from The Paper Temptress and are:

Beautiful, beautiful papers..

I looked at the inspiration photo and pretty much went with
the chalkboard and sunflowers for my card.

I used a new Memory Box die called Distressed Windham Collage
on the beautiful Laser Black Glossy Lustre paper.
I wish you see this paper  IRL as it has stripes, is so shiney
and the most elegant black paper I have seen!

The sunflowers were made with a Cheery Lynn Designs die
using the Amber and Copper metallic papers.
I cut the leaves with Serptentine Metallic.

The little frame has Onyz Metallic paper in it to represent
a chalkboard.  I stamped a tiny sentiment that is all about
sunshine!

Last, I added a tiny bumble bee also a Cheery Lynn die.

Now, I invite you to pop on over to The Shabby Tea Room blog
and see what the other shabby girls have to not only inspire you,
but hopefully to tempt you to join in with us!

Hi there, Diane with you today.

I am sure by now you all have seen the
Ken Oliver Color Burst that is being used.
I have to say I have really fallen for it myself.
It creates the prettiest cards and I have one to show you today.

Using the Spritzer bottle, I spritzed water on water color paper,
using the smoother side.
I then lightly added Ken Oliver Lemon Yellow and Orange Color Burst.
If you just lightly squeeze, it will just puff out a small amount.

I dried it with my heat gun,
once totally dry I used an Anti-Static bag to go over it,
inked Memory Box Bramble Sunrise stamp
with Versamark ink and heat embossed with

I layered black, then white card stock, then adhered my image

A sentiment was added using Sweet 'n Sassy Companion Words stamp.

What is so fun about using the color bursts,
is you will never have 2 cards exactly alike.
Visit with me next Saturday as I will have another color burst card to share!

Good Things

This is my post on the
Dies R UR Us challenge blog today!

Can you believe we are half way through August?
Yikes, where has our summer gone..who took it...
I want it back!!

I think maybe being on these design teams
makes me even more aware of how fast time goes by,
which brings me to this card for the new challenge
at Dies R Us which is "The Great Outdoors".

My hubby and I used to fish on a private lake he once owned
waaaaaay up north as we like to say..lol.
So my idea of the great outdoors is all about fishing!

I used a cute digital from Stitchy Bears to build my
outdoor scene....and nothing says outdoors like trees
and lots of them!

The Birch tree is a Cheery Lynn Designs die called
(I didn't use the critters...)

The pine trees are Impression Obsession Fir Trees.
come in all 3 sizes shown.

I added a little red cardinal from the
 Impression Obsession Birch Trees set.
Can you guess what I cut him from?
A bit of the red velvet wreath ribbon you see at Christmas,
I think it really makes him "pop".

I finished off with a sentiment also from Stitchy Bears
that I printed in Microsoft Word, then used
Impression Obsession Clouds to cut it out!

I encourage you to join in the challenge with us,
there is a great prize to be won!
