Heart Dream Catcher

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today:

Hello Tutti Fans!
Today I am featuring the unique and fun die
Heart Dream Catcher.

This card doesn't need much explanation,
a scrap of designer paper, dream catcher cut from another
scrap, added some pearls and what I thought
was the perfect sentiment...couldn't get any easier!!
I added a piece of cord to finish it off.

A little bit of information about dream catchers:
The dream catcher is a protective talisman that is used to protect people from nightmares and bad dreams. The charm was usually used for young children and hung above their cradles or beds. Native American cultures believe that both good and bad dreams fill the air at night.

Anything Ocean or Beachy Challenge

Well hello there my The Sisterhood friends!
It's time for a new challenge at
The Sisterhood of Crafters
and it is being hosted by none other then ME!!

I chose the theme of anything Ocean or Beach-y!

I made a pretty quick card by cheating a little bit lol.

A long while back I purchased some ephemera from
Prima May/June designs by Julie Nutting.
I have always loved her Prima dolls (and I have lots of them)
so why not own this too...hah!

I first inked up by 5 x 5 card base with TH oxide mermaid lagoon.
I used a Sue Wilson frame from her shadowbox 'celebrate' die set.

All I had to do then was pick out some of the cute ephemera
from the package.

I think it came together kind of cute to make a fun summer card!

Now you make sure and head on over to
The Sisterhood and grab some inspiration by seeing

Garden Trellis

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today:

Hi Tutti fans!
today I have a pretty card using the Garden Trellis die.

It was die cut from an olive green card stock
then layered over a vellum covered designer paper
giving it a pretty pastel softness.

I finished off the card by adding a few purchased tiny flowers
and a birthday greeting.

just to inspire you to join in with us!!

Funny thing is as this is posting I am at the beach for the month of July....lucky ME!!
Anyhow, I have this fun and very beachy card to share today!

My card uses the die from Spellbinders October Large die of the month club
Truckin' Through The Seasons.
It has lots of pieces for each of the four seasons.
They have since come out with more add on sets for even more fun.
Nope, I am not affiliated with Spellbinders,
but just love this so much I wanted to share the info with you!

I used a Mintay background paper from their Paradise paper pad.
If you visit here often then you also know I am a HUGE
fan of Mintay papers, I think I have every pad they have come out with
yep, I am a Mintay hoarder!!

The original set comes with three different sentiments.
I choose the HOORAY as I figured anyone headed to the beach in this truck
would certainly be shouting HOORAY!!
Don't you love that fun bumper??

Isn't it fun?
Just imagine all the fun I am going to have with this truck!!

Today we have a challenge at
The Sisterhood of Crafters

A while back I purchased some really cool stencils
I saw at lawn Fawn and let me  tell you I LOVE them,
in fact by the time this posts I will be the owner of a few more!
I buy lots of dies and stamps so purchasing these stencils
was such a nice change!

I also hit a sale a long while back at My Favorite Things and purchased
these cute~cute kitty cat dies and stamps.

For my card I inked up my grass with 2 different green inks.
( I will give all the info below)

For the sky I inked in a blue, moving the stencil around to
get different clouds.

This is my first attempt with these stencils and I can see many more
panels to come.  Lawn Fawn has a wonderful 'how to' video

Swirly Congrats

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Happy Tuesday Tutti Fans!!
Today I am using one of the swirly sentiment dies and it is
'Swirly Congrats'.
It is a nice size die that pretty much does all the work
for you on a card, the center of attention so to speak!
I have three cards to share with you today.

The first card I 'fancied' up by placing a die cut doily
underneath the sentiment cut from a printed paper,
adding a few gems to the flowers
and as vintage velour flower to finish.

The second card is a bit more simplified just by using a shiny
designer paper underneath the swirly sentiment, adding a
tiny butterfly, cord and a button.

For the last card I had a bit of fun with designer paper cut with the
nesting stitched squares (link given below) and an embossed background.
I added a few gems and a cute bird from my stash!

This is a fabulous die to just say 'CONGRATS' without much fuss!
I hope my three cards have inspired to create your own congrats cards.

Special Birthday

Design Team Member At

Happy July 1st!!
A new challenge theme is starting at Dies R Us challenge blog
and I think it is everyone's favorite...
ANYTHING GOES using a die DRU carries.

I combined two of my very favorite Poppystamp dies
Stitch Wreath and Delightful Daisy.

I colored the daisies with copics and popped
each flower and each leaf up.
The daisies actually have longer stems and I just snipped them off
at the bottom for this card.

I stamped the sentiment (Stampendous) with Memento Dew Drop Ink New Sprout.

Here are the links to the dies I have used:

Make sure and visit the Dies R Us challenge blog to see a fun
array of dies and inspiration from the DRU challenge team!

We have some exciting news to share with you. Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Stitched Flowers

It's the first Wednesday of the month
and that means a new challenge theme at
Double D challenges and it is
Stitching!
It can be real~faux~dies~stamped...
anything just so it has stitching on it!!

I have spent a lot of time at Cottage Cutz (The Scrapping Cottage)
when they have their sales at up to 80% off.
I load up each and every time as what girl can pass
up a sale like that?  Not me for sure!

I used the bottom right corner for my inspiration colors...bright and happy!!

The die I used is Stitched Flowers.
I reached in my scrap bags (snippets) and pulled
out some pretty and bright colors.
This die was one of their very easy ones as not too 'fiddly'  as most.

We would love to have you join in with us at Double D
and as usual we have an awesome prize for you to win
and this one just happens to be a Cottage Cutz die,
plus the teams have once again blessed us with their creativeness!!
