Friendship

Today our new challenge at
FRIENDSHIP.

I was all set to create a new card, but I have a few finished ones
I have never posted, like the one below.

It was just sitting here waiting for it's 'debut' moment lol!

I used a pretty doily background and a few of the many many
ephemera pieces I have.
One of my goals this year was to use up as many of these kinds of things
I have in my stash...so far that hasn't worked well...hah!

But it did make for a cute cute card I think.

Head on over to The Sisterhood and see all
the fun and amazing creations from my 'sistahs'!!

Fall Scene

Today I have a card I created for the Impression Obsession challenge
'pumpkin spice' (coffee or pumpkins).

Pumpkin Spice

I used a splatter stencil for my background and lightly stenciled it.

All the dies I used are from Impression Obsession.
wouldn't you love to have a polka dot bushel basket?
I know I would.

It's a simple scene, but actually took a little longer then it looks.
Impression Obsession Dies used are:
Lg. Fence Die149-U
Sm, Leaf Set Die95-D
Pumpkin Patch Die202-G

See you all later!!

Geisha Girl

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hello Tutti friends!
Today we are showcasing the fun Geisha girl
along with a few other Tutti Designs dies
that work very well with her.

First up is a card I combined three Tutti dies.
Geisha Girl, Oriental Parasol, and Oriental Screen.
The only other thing added is the design paper in he background.

For the next two cards I pulled some fun sentiment panels off the internet
that seemed to fit perfectly to add a bit of fun interest.
The Geisha was cut from white card stock and I added a few red gems,
then she was adhered to layered card stock.

The last card, once again is using the fun sentiment,
cut from black card stock and mounted on layered card stock.

Isn't she fun?  I hope I have inspired you
to give this Geisha girl a try, so many fun and different ways to use her.

Ballet Backpack

Designing For The Cutting Cafe

Today I have the cutest cut file
created by Regina at The Cutting Cafe!

She has designed a BACKPACK that is just perfect to hold
some fun goodies or a gift card.

I have a granddaughter Kendall who is 13 and has been in dance
since she was 4,
so I made a dance recital backpack with her in mind.

I had the perfect paper in my stash
(probably bought for scrap booking which I don't do anymore).

I cut this out on my Cricut in no time at all
(but all the files come in a PDF version too if you don't have an electronic machine)
One of the fun things and it wasn't thought out at all,
was when I cut the flap for the top of the pocket
it came out perfect with the words 'opening night' and ballet shoes....
couldn't of done any better then that!

I added a glittery ballerina to the front pocket,
which by the way, a Ghiradelli chocolate will fit in perfect.

Her birthday is in February and I plan to save this for her,
add the chocolates and a gift card in the back pack itself!

Make sure to come back tomorrow on the 21st
to The Cutting Cafe blog as all the designers are there
showing their own backpacks..all so different and creative
and you won't want to miss it.

It's All About The Sentiment

It's time for a new challenge at Double D
and our theme is
Focus On The Sentiment.

I have to admit I made this card in January
while we were shut in by the Polar Vortex....
the idea came to me, so I just went with it!

I have an addiction to the Mintay papers out of Poland
and find myself hoarding them at best!
But I decided to not only feature my sentiment,
but feature it on some awesome paper!

The sentiment I used is from SU's 2018 Sale-a-bration.
It's quite a large set and very pretty...
lots of different sentiments to mix and match.

I die cut a couple of the Tutti Designs Nesting Banners,
then stamped my sentiment on.
I had bits and pieces of various greens and flower pieces
so I made my flower and greenery with those...
a goal this year to use up things I have.
Same with the butterfly, which I just inked with Groovy Guava SU ink...
in fact I stamped the sentiment with the same ink.

So what an easy challenge this is....
gives you an opportunity to use those 'large' sentiments in your stash!

Falling Leaves

I am taking a little time off today to enter a challenge
'Falling Leaves'.
There are some really pretty entries there,
you should check it out!

Falling Leaves

I had fun putting this card together using ALL
scraps/snippets of paper.

The dies I used are
Twig Wreath die set DIE023-x
Small Leaf Set DIE095-D

The small leaves I have used numerous, numerous times
as they are just a perfect size.
These I cut from scraps of  water color paper
that I had sprinkled the powders and water on,
I save every little piece for projects just like this.
I added a pretty Fall ribbon bow to finish.

Treble Clef Cards

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Happy Tuesday friends!!
Today I am showcasing the Treble Clef die
being used on three different cards.

The first card is a thank you card.
The treble clef was cut from a black glitter paper
and placed on a Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Oval.

For the second card, I once again cut the Treble Clef from a
glitter paper, this time just adhering it to a fun polka dot background paper.
I had a little fun (pun) by tying on a cute little sentiment,
'A note for you'.
Little candi dots were added.

The last card is my favorite I think.
The little gold dots are actually a little envelope
big enough to hold a gift card with the perfect sentiment
'sending you a little something'.
The finishing touch was adding a few gold 'candi' dots.

I hope these cards have given you some ideas and inspiration
with this fun Treble Clef die.

Paper Sweeties September 2019 New Release Rewind

Proud To Design For

Hello Paper Sweeties Fans!
Today is 'Rewind' day of the September Release.
I created my card using the new
Ewe Make Me Happy stamp set
and the
Ewe Make Me Happy Sweet Cuts.

I started by inking a background, lightly so my cornstalks would show well.
They are from the Scarecrow Set, a previously released set.
The sheep was stamped and die cut, I popped her head up and colored her cheeks
with a q-tip and an old blush...it works great
and you have great control of 'blushing' that way!
I used a glitter pen on the hearts of her body.
I die cut the flowers pieces, and colored them a bit with Copics.

Here is a close-up of her face and glittered hearts.

Thank you for visiting with me today and I hope you have enjoyed
our three day release fun....

Paper Sweeties September 2019 New Release Party!

It's PARTY TIME at PAPER SWEETIES
with our September 2019 New Release of stamps and dies...
AND
they are available to purchase in-store NOW!

I used the 'What's Up Chickie' new stamp set for today's card.
I dug in my scrap bags for ALL the papers used on this card.
As soon as I saw the cute overalls in this set I knew I had to
have Jake, one of the 'Sweeties' friends and of course the
Jake Sweet Cuts, too,
I made a little rope for Jake to lead his horse with.

Speaking of Sweeties Friends,
I also used Emma and Emma Sweet Cuts as I thought she would be cute in
the overalls as well, and she is!
Emma is holding the sweet hen from the set.

The horse was stamped on  a scrap of metallic paper I had
and I used Black Nuvo drops for his eyes.

So that's my fun farm scene, I hope you like it!!

The Little Train That Could

It's that time again where a new challenge begins at
Dies R Us!
Our theme is 'Planes~ Trains~Automobiles'.
Makes you think of the movie doesn't it?

Grab our Badge!

I started with a crimped background for my cute little
Cheapo Dies Train Engine to sit on.
The balloons are from Sue Wilson shadowbox Collection Celebrations
I just simply adhered them to pieces of twine.
Little Stars are coming out of the smokestack,
I used the tiny star from the Impression Obsession Star Sun Moon set.

I had a clever idea when it came to making the train tracks.
I die cut a Frantic Stamper Rail Fence Ribbon from silver metallic paper.

Then to make it look more like a train track,
I just snipped off the top edges as shown below.

I really liked how this card turned out
and  thinking the train would make an adorable baby boy card too!

Here once again are all the dies I have used.

Thanks for visiting with me and pop on over to
