This card has the Saxophone cut from an orange metallic paper
then layered on...the color gives it a unique look!

The second card was the Saxophone was cut from a gold metallic paper

A Bit of This and That

Thought I would share a few of my summer pictures for those
of you that are not on facebook.

First up is the hubby and Mack in the lake...
looks like the hubs is drinking a beer...yep he is LOL!

Image may contain: one or more people, people standing, dog, outdoor, water and nature

Next is great grandaughter (yep great) Paislie and pappa playing corn hole.

And same little one (she will be 8 in Sept) on her first Kayak excursion ...
we bought these kid kayaks about 2 years ago and it's the first they have seen water.
She did exceptionally well on her first try.

Image may contain: 1 person, smiling, ocean, outdoor, water and nature

And her brother and sister Jensen (6) and Bostinn (4)
I bought them all life jackets before they came to visit at the lake
and they spent forever in the water.

And lastly, my monster white lilies here at home.

I will hopefully be back with a few projects, IF I can get myself motivated.
It will be a busy week as my hubs cooks 32 pork butts for the
Brian Parker Cancer Golf Outing fundraiser
and I will have about 30 or more people here on Friday to help out to pull pork and eat...
then I will be a golf 'widow' all weekend...
and I make breakfast for all the 'cookers;.....see ya!

Play Ball At The Sisterhood

Let's Play Ball!!
That's our theme for our challenge
chosen by our lovely and talented 'sistah' Vickie!

I created this card way ahead in January....
I knew I didn't have any stamps/dies for sports
and in one of my sleepless nights I told myself to look in the Cricut files.
That is how I came up with my soccer card,
that and because we have a little soccer player of our 'own'!
And let me tell you, she is little but she is mighty and very competitive...
one of those kids that sports just comes naturally!

So anyhow I made this a soccer card, just for her!

I did use a Cricut cut, a bit of a picky one at that!
But in the end it all worked out.
It's a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 card
and I even finished the inside!

So come on over to The Sisterhood
and 'Let's Play Ball!!

Off Into The Sunset

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi there, Diane with you today
sharing a couple cards using the Mountain Bike die

I had fun with this card using the Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Tags
to cut a tag from a map print paper, then adding the sentiment
and the bike cut from black card stock.

For the second card I made a simple birthday card,
this time cutting the bike in yellow.
For a bit of sparkle I added a few sequins.

Christmas In July at The Cutting Cafe

It is Christmas In July at The Cutting Cafe
and we were to pick any Christmas cut file to use.
Well, I have (had) oodles to choose from
but when my 'puter' died I lost ALL of them...
because my backup smoked too...ugh

But, on a GOOD note, Regina just happened to send us a few
Christmas files a few weeks back and one of them was this
OMGoodness, this is the cutest thing ever and I want to make them all!

I only had time (quick as they are to make) to do one
due to our leaving for a quick 'vaca' again,
so I chose the JOY box...CUTE!!

I used red card stock for the bottom and of course
white for the top, knowing I was going to add a
handmade little poinsettia to the top for decoration.

These are all that are in the set...like I said CUTE!!

BLOG PICTURE

This file comes with a few greetings to tie on as well
and I just added it on under the flower.

Anyhow I filled the box with 'kisses'.
Isn't it cute???

Tomorrow on the 21st if you visit
The Cutting Cafe blog
(usually in the afternoon...time differences)
all the Design Team will have their
wonderful Christmas in July creations
that you can see all in one place...awesome!!

Birthday

Today at Double D Challenges
it is all about BIRTHDAYS!!

As usual we have a unique mood board
to get your creativity going!!

This is probably one of the easiest challenges we have had for you...
so we expect YOU to join in with us
and also as usual, we have a fabulous prize offered!!

I let the bright colors inspire me,
let alone I had recently purchased this super fun Cottage Cutz die.

I know it's hard to tell but once all the pieces were cut (and there were many)
I inked along the edges of the words (I think you can see the ink on birthday)
and also the flowers.
I gave it a nice white frame
and mounted it all on black card stock.

I love how bright and happy this card is
even with the black.

So make sure and pop on over to
to see all the FABULOUS design team work!
See ya there!!

Paper Sweeties July 2019 New Release Rewind

Today is the Paper Sweeties Release Rewind day...
have you been having fun seeing all the amazing creations
using the new July stamps and dies?
I know I have...
so today I have a bit of past and present!

Ahoy Matey!!

I went a little out of the box and made a girlie PINK Pirate!
I first used oxide inks on a glossy photo paper....
using the bubbles from the Ahoy Matey set I stamped them with a
watermark resist ink...
then stamped the 'waves' from the same set with Nautical Blue Ink..
but then I proceeded to cover most of up with my images..hah!

My pirate girl was made using the stamp Sweeties Girl Emma and
her coordinating Sweet Cuts die.
The Palm tree and die are Island Time and Sweet Cuts Island Time.
I used sandpaper for the 'sand' and crystal drops for the pearls in the treasure chest
to add a bit of dimension.

I hope you have enjoyed my sweet little 'Ahoy Matey' pirate girl.

Mr & Mrs Anniversary Cards

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hello, Diane on the blog today with three
different versions of anniversary cards using the
Tutti Designs die Mr & Mrs

First up is a classic black and white.
I 'fancied' it up a bit with a strip of white ribbon rose trim and a few pearls.
This card could also be used as a wedding card.

For the next card I have die cut the Mr & Mrs from a silver metallic paper
and turned it into a 25th anniversary card.

The last card, the Mr & Mrs was die cut on a gold metallic paper.
I added a strip of  double sided tape and sprinkled gold glitter on.
I computer generated the sentiment for a 50th anniversary.

Paper Sweeties July 2019 Release Party!

Let the 'PARTY' begin!!

Since we have about five birthdays this month (if not more)

Don't you just LOVE this adorable little pirate starfish...I sure do!!

I added a little kraft paper bag to hold the gift card,
and funny thing is, it is to a local 'saloon' here called
The Wounded Minnow"...couldn't be any more perfect for this card!!

I just added a few papers from my stash and let the stamps and dies do all the work!

Here is the silly gift card!!

Paper Sweeties July 2019 New Release Sneak Peeks!

Hello there, I am back from vacation just in time for our
Paper Sweeties July 2019 SNEAK PEEK!!

Oh my oh my how I LOVE the July release.....so full of summertime goodness!!

For the sneak peek I used the Beach Therapy stamp set
AND
the coordinating Beach Therapy Sweet Cuts!!

I love how clear and precise these stamp
and so easy to color,
then using the dies takes away all the hard work of hand cutting!!

For my background I did a fun and really very easy technique
using fingernail polish and water.
You just add a few drops of polish, swirl it around and them lay
your water color paper on top and it picks up the polish.
You get several from one bowl.
I used black, teal, lime green, a silver metallic
and there was a bit of red, too...reminded me of a 'hurricane' sea...lol!
I added a water colored panel on top of that.

The little starfish below is from our fabulous June release
I also added a few  Robin Egg Sequins.

So now you have seen my 'sneak peek' make sure and visit the blogs below
for even more fabulous 'peeks'
as the team did an amazing design with these sets...
all links are below and I will be back tomorrow
with my July 2019 New Release...see you then!!
