Bamboo Screen

This on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi, Diane with you today and I have a fun card using the Tutti Designs
Bamboo Screen.
I stenciled a moon for the background.
stamped a bit of a grassy images underneath the bamboo.

Once the bamboo was die cut, I inked it up with some oxide ink.

I'll be back next month with more FUN Tutti Designs creations!

Birthday Card

Today I am joining the purple challenge at

This card was made with a Tutti Design die, which is now discontinued
but I love it and had to show it.

Pretty easy as I just used a piece of purple mirror card stock for the underneath
panel as well as the die cut.  I added a few purple gems to the flowers.
I used a basket weave embossing panel under the die cut.

Now I have a question for all of you.
How do you sort (sort not store) your stamps?
Most all of mine are stored in the Avery Elle
stamp/die storage bags
(which BTW I absolutely love)
but not sure how I have them sorted (by company)
is working for me....
and was wondering what works best...thanks!!

Congrats Little One

So how is your day going?
Since we are 'semi locked up', I have been trying to join in more challenges
which I haven't done much for quite sometime.
I like CAS, but I am trying to also do a few more sketches and found this one:

Looks simple, but for me it wasn't lol

I need a few more baby cards for my stash and came up
with this simple one and an easy mailer!

I used some yellow papers I have had forever from my yellow
12 x 12 stash.  I thought the paper on the right looked like
water so I chose that to go along with the yellow duckies.
I also used a Stardust pen
(which I am sure you can't see)
on the ducks eyes and wings for a bit of sparkle.

The sentiment is from Pink & Main.
I had intended to use it for a grad card,
but somehow came up with this!

Just something to pass my time until I can get
back outside for clean up in the gardens...
next four days of rain, so I have to be productive in here!

Wooly Good Day

So what have you all been up to with all the 'craziness' going on?
I have been redoing/cleaning my creative room from top to bottom.
It's a pretty big room but it has a lot of stuff in it
and I mean a lot which makes it seem smaller but it's not.
About 1/4 of the room is dedicated to sewing,
not that I do much of that anymore.
I have been working on it forever, with LOTS of interruptions
and almost to the point where I am ready to build a wall
and close the other half off so I don't have to clean or see it LOL!

So, I took a little break to try to get me back into the creative mood
and created this CAS card for the challenge at
Cuttlebug Mania Challenge which is SHEEP.

I have this cute little Darcie's stamp set for awhile now
'Wooly Spring' and it was just Baaa'ing to be used!

Pretty simple card really,
as I just stamped her and her sentiments on a die cut
Cottage Cutz Scalloped Circle die
then colored her in with Copics.
I did add a bit of sponged Dew Drop Summer Sky on the
card front base and stamped the sentiment in Dew Drop London Fog.
I also added a bit of Nuvo to her flower centers.

Hope you are all doing well and staying safe and staying in!!

Spring

It's SPRINGTIME!!!
Though we have had a pretty mild winter here in Michigan
I am/was so ready for Spring to arrive.
The last month or so I have been hearing the birdies chirping their little heads off...well not really,
but you know what I mean!!

It is also time for a new challenge/theme at
The Sisterhood of Crafters
and Dar is our hostess and she has chosen...
yep, you guessed it...SPRING!

On one of my sleepless nights
this fun card came to mind.
I think it is really cute!

The frog is one from the Cottage Cutz clearance sale and he was only 95 cents!!
How could I resist?
He only has two pieces, body and eyes...easy peasy!
The best part is I was able to use scraps of card stock
for this card, even the wonky die cut background is
a scrap piece!

I encourage YOU to join the 'sistah's at The Sisterhood
for our Spring challenge...there is beautiful inspiration there!

Tulip Corner

This is my post today on the Tutti Designs blog.

Hi Tutti Fans, Diane with you today using a pretty die from Tutti Designs
Tulip Corner'

I have three cards all different which will hopefully give
a bit of  Inspiration for this gorgeous die!

Card #1, I die cut the tulip corner die twice from a patterned paper
and placed it in two corners on an embossed background.
A butterfly was added from my stash as well as a little
twine bow and sentiment.

Card #2 was simple enough just by cutting from a yellow card
with a designer paper background,
a pretty bow and a wood button.

Card #3 I did a bit different by cutting the tulip corner twice and placing them back to back
for a very different look.
I added a few pearls, bow and flower,
all on a pretty designer paper.

Almost Springtime

We are just a few days away from Spring and what could be a
better challenge theme at Double D then
'SPRING'

We have a pretty Spring mood board to get you inspired.
I bet if you are like me and live in a cold winter region
you are VERY ready for Spring to appear!!

I totally used the mood board for MY inspiration...
can you guess which one?
Yep, the top right corner with those pink tulips.
I LOVE tulips but can't grow them much in my gardens
as the critters eat them all, bulbs in winter and the tulips themselves in Spring.

So, one way to have pretty tulips is by putting them on a card and that is just what I did.

I used a NBUS die from Cottage Cutz 'Watering Can Tulips'.
I also used a die I purchased from a scrapbook store about an hour from here.
It's the only die I have from Gina Marie Designs and funny thing is
they are located in Michigan I believe.
I also used mostly scraps for my die cuts,
I love to use those up which will probably be never lol!

Visit Double D Challenges and see what the Design Team has created...
it certainly is always, always fabulous!!

Easter Tulips

Hi Tutti Fans this is my post on the
Tutti Designs blog today!

Today I am using the pretty Easter Tulips die.
For the first card I die cut the tulips from a shiny
Patterned paper  and adding a twine bow.
I love how the various colors make each tulip stand out.
I also added a scrap piece to one  side.
The Tutti Designs Hello word set was die cut twice,
once from yellow and then from a light teal,
then sticking one on the other with a slight shadow effect.

I used some of same shiny paper for the next card,
but this time placing it on a different section for
a totally different look.
A few butterflies were added along with a pretty red bow.

Make sure to stop back by next Tuesday as I have some pretty
Spring cards to show you!!

Paper Sweeties March 2020 New Release Rewind!

Today is the 'rewind' day of the new dies and stamps at
Paper Sweeties.

I have to mention it is also my last day at Paper Sweeties
as I had to step down due to the fact that since the
hubby has retired we will be at our lake house most of Spring/Summer.
I want to thank Debbie for having me as I have had a ball working
with this fun and amazingly creative Design Team!!

For my last card I used not only the new Sorry stamp and die sets
but the Cupcake & Sprinkle sets and the Stitched Tags set #1.

I stamped the sorry on a polka dot paper then die cut it out...so easy to line up!
The I missed your birthday is also from the same set and I hand cut it.
I placed the cupcake on the scalloped circle from the tag set...all links are given below.

I wanted to add some sparkle so used glitter pens on the cupcake, added a few Robin's Egg sequins and a glitter strip
down the side.

Things With Wings Challenge

It's the middle of the month (already)
and that means it's time for a new challenge at
Dies R Us challenge blog!

The theme is Things With Wings.

Though my things with wings die category is quite large...ahem...
I had just received a few new dies from DRU
and couldn't wait to pull them out and play with them!

This is the first ScrapMan die I have purchased and
I LOVE it.  It is called LACE.
It cuts like a dream too.

The other new die (to me) is the Memory Box Dreamy Butterfly.
Just look at the pretty detail it has.
I cut it twice and layered one on the other
then added a white pearl.

We would love to have you join us with your take on the
challenge theme 'Things With Wings' as there are so many options.
Pop on over to Dies R Us challenge blog to see
even more inspiration from my DRU friends!!

Don't forget to check out sister store in Canada . . .

Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in USA & Canada called Didi Crafts.

It will ship to both the US and Canada. Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different. Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Happy Easter

Hoppin' long the bunny trail!!

I am the hostess at The Sisterhood of Crafters this next couple of weeks
and I have chosen the theme of
EASTER!

I made the cutest bunny card (well at least I think so)!
I have a lot of the Cottage Cutz dies and can't seem to
leave them alone....this guy 'hopped' right into my cart
when they had a 60 to 80% off sale...how can you resist that?

They do however have quite a few pieces to cut
but I don't mind as I cut each little piece first
and lay it on a piece of card stock
(so as not to lose it...like that tiny nose...yep that is a cut piece)!
THEN, I put it all together.

The background paper is old and might possibly be the last piece..
The oval is also a Cottage Cutz die.
I ink along the edges, though some of it (like the carrot)
isn't showing up here...sigh....oh and that tiny nose,
well it must of slipped down a bit and of course I didn't
notice that until it had dried, but it gives him a slightly
different personality!
(that's my story and I am sticking to it)

Just in case you are interested the name of the die is
