Egg Flower

This is my post today on the Tutti Designs blog:

Hi, Diane with you today and I have a cute Easter card and my last for the month
using the Tutti Designs Egg Flower,
I think this is such a fun die that can be created with many
different colors by using all the pieces included in this set.

I embossed a white background, then die cut each piece form several
different scraps of  paper and putting altogether...FUN!!

I hope I have inspired you this month long of my posts of using Easter eggs
I know I certainly have had fun with each and every post.
I have given the link below and other links for your convivence.

Little Birthday Lamb

It's rainy and gloomy today so what better time then today to do a sketch!
I saw this easy and cute sketch on Seize The Birthday
and as soon as I saw it, it reminded me of a stamp and die set
I had from Paper Sweeties!

Here is the sketch design

and here is my card!

It's VERY simple but I can always use some easy mailer birthday cards
and this is one of them.

I embossed some fluffy white clouds behind my lamb.
She has a bit of Nuvo on her flower center.

Make sure to take a peek at the Seize The Birthday DT sketch cards,
they have created some really pretty ones!!

Coffee Birdie

Today is the last day of the 2021 Spring/SummerCoffee Lovers blog hop
and my last card for it!
I certainly didn't get much done for it and have to say
I wish they would limit it to one entry per day per person
but just MY opinion of course.

For my card I used once again some scrap paper and this piece reminded me
for some reason of coffee.
I added a Pebbles die cut to it and stamped
the sentiment from The Greeting Farm .

Nothing cuter then a cup full of flowers and a little birdie!
I think I know where this card is going as I have a friend
that maybe could use this advice right now!
Thanks for visiting with me!

My Cup of Tea

My third card for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers hop

Not much to say about it but just using some scraps, an embossing folder
and some ephemera I had laying around!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hoppy Easter

Time for a new challenge theme at The Sisterhood of Crafters
and it was chosen by our 'sistah' Birgit
and is Easter/Spring.

Now how the heck do you decide what to use
when you have so much of each?

My decision came when I saw that Spellbinders had a new
die set for their Sunday Drive dies.
I think I now own all the variations of this set
and each one is as cute as the other!

However, that being said, there are some itsy bitsy pieces to
put together and you really have to have
a lot of patience and not say naughtily words when die cutting these
and putting them together...really a TRUE story!

Here is the result of mine.
Look at that sweet bunny family
going for a Sunday drive!

There are little Easter eggs you can die cut too
but I thought this car had enough on it.

I used an embossed tree background though you can't see
the trunk in this photo, but it is there.

I am just hoping whomever gets this card
doesn't just 'toss' it as a lot
of work and love went into the making of this.
Would I make another one as tedious as it was...sure thing
as it is the cutest thing put together!

Head on over to The Sisterhood and see all the fun
Easter/Spring creations from my 'sistahs' for plenty of inspiration!

Floral Daisy Egg

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today:

Hi Tutti Fans!

Being it's almost Easter I thought I would continue with
a few more Eater egg cards, this time using the
Floral Daisy Egg die.

Nothing says Easter like a pretty decorated egg!

I die cut this one from pink card stock
then added Nuvo to each flower center.

A gorgeous piece of designer paper was added down one side
and I stamped the sentiment with a pretty pink ink.

Kind of reminds you of a nice Spring day doesn't it?

Coffee With A Friend

I am entering my second coffee card in the
Coffee Lovers Spring/Summer Hop.

I used a few pieces of scrap papers and and OLD stamp set
from Flourishes for this card.
I thought the 'ticking' paper background was fun
and kept my card 'coffee colored'!

I am not sure what I will do with all these coffee cards when done
but I am sure I will think of something!

Coffee

It's time for the Coffee Lovers Spring/Summer Coffee Hop challenge
and for once I am joining in this time.  I think this is the first time
I have been able to enter and it couldn't come at a better time for me
as I re-organized my stamps  yesterday and have all my
coffee/tea stamps in one place now!

I have had this coffee background stamp for years  from Stampendous
and decided to pull it out for my debut to use
for my first card.
I also had in my stash a packet of David Tutera card sets
I had purchased years ago on clearance at Joann's
and being they are 'coffee' color (kraft)  I figured now was the time to use them up.
I have 9 in all so you will see them all throughout this challenge!

The pack of A2 cards aren't the thickness I like to use for my base cards
so after stamping my image, I cut around it and added it to a heavier
brown base to match the ink which is Dew Drop Rich Cocoa.

Not to waste the backside of the card, I cut a rectangle from it
for the inside.

Hopefully tomorrow I will be back with more coffee/tea cards for this challenge

Little One

Just putting a quick card up on my blog today
as I am spending ,y time re-organizing my stamps
and needed a break, geez what WAS I thinking...what a mess!

Anyhow I made this card purposely for two different challenges!

One is Little Red Wagon where the theme is One Layer
and also Less Is More where the theme is Baby

I could use some baby cards in my stash and while working with the
re-organizing I came across this old and never been used baby set of stamps from Fiskers.

I stenciled a little pink cloud using the negative
then just stamped my sentiment and images.
This is a VERY CAS card!!
Thanks for looking!!

Oh and before I go here is my leprechaun from yesterday
Mack 'McDoodles'

See You Later

It's time once again for a new challenge theme at Double D
and it's all about 'Skies'!

I have to admit I was a little stumped of what I was going to do.
Then I remembered I had a cute, new to me stamp set from
LDRS  On The Move.   It's just the cutest set!

I used a Lawn Fawn cloud stencil for my background sky and for my
little alligator to fly thru!
I wanted some various colors in my sky so used a few different
Dew Drop inks to achieve that.

Make sure to stop by and see all the beautiful 'SKIES' the design team
has to inspire you with at Double D!

Floral Tulip Egg

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today:

Hello Tutti fans, Easter is sneaking upon us and I have a pretty card
using the Floral Tulip egg.

I die cut my egg three times, once in green for the base
then again in yellow and red so I could paper piece my
flowers on.  I added Nuvo to the flower centers.

And of course to finish I added a wax cord and bow,

I also die cut a grass strip from cute bunny paper to add more color and detail.

It's A Magical Kind Of Day

A new challenge today at Dies R Us and though we are normally
an anything goes challenge, this time around we are collaborating with
Double Trouble Paper Crafting Challenge,
All the details can be found at the bottom of this post!
Our Theme however is 'MAGICAL'!

Dies R Us has lots and lots of 'magical' items in it's online store!

I die cut my 'magical fairy' three times,
once from a black metallic card stock for the base and adhered to a white Tutti Designs scalloped nesting circle, then
a pretty pink for the skirt and lastly from a gold metallic for the wings.
The latter two were paper pieced in.
The underneath panel is a Scrapman Lace die, cut from a silver metallic.
I opted not to add a sentiment at this time!

Here are the links to the dies I have used:

Head on over to the Dies R Us challenge blog
to see all the fun creations from the Design Team
and join in with us for YOUR chance to win a DRU gift Certificate to the store!

For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.

Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

How to play in our joint challenge:

Thing 1: Trouble Maker
says, "We are going to recognize 'Everything You Think is Wrong Day' on March 15th, a day when nothing goes right. Picture this: Your crafting project just went wrong! Have you ever had a day like that... a day when nothing was going right? Yeah, me too."

"Don't give up... because things that went wrong will
magically correct themselves at the stroke of midnight and we will be celebrating 'Everything You Do is Right Day' on March 16th! To get to this happy day, you had to get past yesterday."

"So let's include something
MAGICAL on your crafting project (i.e. gnome, fairy, magician, wand, rabbit in a hat, pixie dust, unicorn, mermaid, Disney, etc.)."

You can stop here
OR
you can continue to Twisted Sister's optional twist below.

Thing 3: Twisted Sister
says, "Trouble Maker, you were right! Everything went completely wrong yesterday but today is another day... it was magical and everything seems to be going right today. Whether or not you decide to play along with my twist we hope everything goes right for you."
"My optional twist is to use at least one die (a frame, an image, a sentiment, etc.) in your project and any brand is acceptable. If you have included a die(s) on your project you will receive another chance at the DTC random draw and you will have met Double Dare's requirement below."
Thing 2: Double Dare
says, "If you have created Thing 1's "magical" theme and have included at least one die (any brand is acceptable) on your project you are eligible to enter it at Dies R Us
HERE.
OR
If you have used a Dies R Us brand you will be eligible for entry into their quarterly 'Anything Goes' prize. Your die may already qualify... click
HERE for the list of acceptable DRU brands on the left-hand side bar. Don't keep us guessing... include the DRU brand of die used in your post."

Twofer Umbrellas

Happy Sunday afternoon!
I am joining in the  Twofer challenge  this time
and the theme is Your Choice.
I went with UMBRELLAS and created two different
occasion cards, the first being just a simple hello card and the second
for any occasion, perhaps happy birthday, a baby shower or even a promotion!

For the first card I die cut an umbrella and filled it with tiny flowers
and a cute sentiment!

Supplies used for this card are
Dies:  Memory Box Proper Umbrella, Gina Marie Designs background die,
Sizzix Framelets, Sue Wilson Butterfly, Cheery Lynn Designs Flowers
Stamp: Hero Arts Greetings Make A Wish
DS Paper:  The Paper Boutique Bohemian Blooms

For my second card I had the perfect little 'stinker' to hold the umbrella.  It's the first time I have used him!
My first thought was to make it a baby card
but then decided to use a sentiment that gave me many more choices
of what kind of card it could be.

Supplies Used for this card are:
Dies:  Frantic Stamper Adorable Skunk, Memory Box Proper Umbrella,
Spellbinders Curved Matting Basics A, Tutti Designs Scalloped Circle,
Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Strips
Sentiment:  TH Crazy Talk.
DS Paper:  Carta Bella Botanical Garden

Thanks for stopping by...don't forget we have a YEAR ROUND
HALLOWEEN challenge going on at
Two Old Bats, we would love to have you join us there!

Mid Month Reminder

Hey Halloween friends, it's mid month for our
Two Old Bats Halloween challenge and thee is still plenty of time to join us!

We have a fun mood board to inspire you
but as always  it is an ANYTHING GOES HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE!

Here is our mood board and once again I did use it to inspire me!

I went with the bottom right corner.
I knew I had in my stash somewhere s pair of witches' legs
and sure enough I did from Hampton Art and of course first time use.

The sentiment is one I picked up years ago in Michael's dollar bin
and luckily for me held on to it all these years!

Take a peek at our Two Old Bats 'reminder' post to see
a bit more inspiration and join us!!

Butterflies

I almost drove myself to the loony bin making this card!
It's hard to tell but those butterflies were the most intricate
I have ever made, so many tiny tiny pieces and
every piece would either stick to my fingers and/or my tweezers,
it was crazy I tell ya!!

I used a part of a Sizzix set called Tiny Nature for the Butterflies.
A funny (or not) story about Sizzix.
Last month I hit one of their 80% off sales and I purchased a lot.
I was pretty excited as I had some really cool stuff ordered at a heck of a price.
I tracked my order and three times the noted 'to arrival' date it
didn't arrive.  But low and behold Fed Ex showed up with it
and it was one heavy box which I thought was odd to begin with.
So I hauled it in, opened it and what made it so heavy were SEVEN of the
Bigz dies, which I don't order anymore because of storage of them.
As I went thru the items (26 of them) only 5 were things I had ordered.
That's where the fun began...NOT!

So I called to say I got an order but not MY order
and I have to say my order total was around $80 so I wanted my things.
Well that was no use as no one ever answers the phone
and come to find out they only work half days five days a week.

So I went on site and opened up a case with an email, but that takes 3 to 5 days!
They did contact me thru email a few days later but it was almost the weekend
and asked me for some information which I sent back.
Come Monday I get an email back saying they never received the info they asked for,
which I had sent twice as wasn't quite sure WHERE to send it as no instructions
and found out later reply wasn't it.

So because it takes 3 to 5 days to get back with you I have to say it was frustrating
but I was reassured I would get my stuff.  I told them over and over to call me
so I could just read the info they wanted over the phone but finally someone
said they don't call as their operators are located in the UK and the time difference and all that...
who knew right?

I finally just kept sending message after message asking them to let me know what was going on and to ask IF they finally got the info they wanted from me.
Well they didn't like my sending emails over and over LOL, and politely
asked me to QUIT sending them.
I finally got a response that my order was being shipped minus the 5 correct things
I did receive and I was to keep all the other items, WOW now that made
me sooooooooo happy.

I have ordered from them forever and this was the first time something like this happened
and I have always had good luck with them...quite a story eh??

However I guess you can't please anyone any better then that!!

Anyhow, here is my card made with one of the sets I did happen to order.

The background I created using The Greetery Ship Lap die
and TH Distress ink Wild Honey.

I created this card purposely for the challenge at Mod Squad which is Butterflies!!

Some Bunny

I have a second post today, I wasn't planning on it,
bu I had wanted to join in The Paper Players challenge
and just noticed it ends soon...Yikes

The challenge is Spring Is In The Air.

I stamped and colored this little bunny while at the lake house
so quickly put him together with a couple of scrap papers (snippets) that
were just laying around!

The image s from AI and is Easter Blessings, there is an entire set of
adorable little critters in the set, more to come soon!

Entering the following challenges:
Pixie;s Snippets Playground .... Snippets
Stinkin ' Inkers .... Hop To It

Which Way To The Lake

Today I decided to take a break and join in a fun challenge
I spotted at Festive Friday.
The challenge requires you to use 3 of the items listed

I used quite a bit to make my scene
frogs, green, lily pads, water, cattails, and insects.

I think this will make a great masculine card.
The set is from Cottage Cutz, one of their 80% off sales
and the first time I have used it.
I stamped it on watercolor paper and it is colored with a combo of
Tombow Markers and TH Distress markers.
The cat tails are a die cut from Cheapo dies though the set comes with it's own
stamp to use,  The set also has matching dies for each stamp.

Best Wishes

 Just having some fun today!
I wanted to do The Flower Challenge's Purple theme
Shades of Purple
since I just made this flower card using a Pink Fresh Studio stencil
Daisy Wreath.

After I had my stenciling done I used the matching die to die cut out
and popped it up on a piece of gingham  background paper.
The sentiment is from my Sparkle N Sprinkle days!
I created a few more of these in different colors I will show at a later time!

If ypu want to see some amazing 'purple' cards all in one place
then head on over to The Flower Challenge and not only check out the Design Team
but the entries as well, you WON'T be disappointed!!

Sweet Easter

Today at The Sisterhood of Crafters our 'sistah' Debbie has
chosen our theme and it is Easel Card.

I made an egg shape easel card which will go to my
fifteen (one of) granddaughter,
First because she is not a card maker and won't notice the
mistakes I made on it and second because she has every card
I have ever made her!!

I have a die nesting set that is egg shape and created my card using that..
I also have a cute egg die by Poppystamps Ribbon and Bow Egg
that I paper pieced together.

The little bunny and the butterfly I already had cut and took
from my scrap bags.
The sentiment is from an old Flourish stamp set Easter Baskets.

Here is a side view of the easel part.

If you enjoy making easel cards why not join in with us
and see all the pretty easels my 'sistahs' have created for inspiration at
The Sisterhood!

Happy Easter Egg

Hello, Diane with you today and I have what I think is my

favorite Easter card I have made this year so far.
I love how this egg turned out and would be such an easy card to replicate!

I started by die cutting the Happy Easter Egg from white card stock
then used the negative part of the die as shown below for a stencil.

I first stenciled pastel color inks on but then decided I want a bit more
brightness so I just added brighter inks over the top of the pastel ones
within the same color range so as not to have it look muddy!

I really liked how it turned out and it was so easy
yet so delicate with the intricate die cutting!

A Friend Indeed

We have a fun new challenge at Double D
and an even more fun mood board to inspire you!

The theme is book covers and you can use anything
you see on the book covers to inspire you!
It could be images, colors, words...anything!

I chose the upper left book using the tiny little characters in the row boat!
I purchased this Penny Black friendship stamp awhile back (long while)
and was itching to use it!

The background paper was a newly purchased pad as well
and seemed to pair well with the stamp!
It is from Honey Bee Beach Vibes, a really nice useable pad for summer!

I would LOVE to have you join us at Double D for our challenge
plus you won't want to miss all the beautifully created projects from the team,
they always amaze me with their beautiful creativity!
