Colorize Bloom

Today at The Sisterhood of Crafters our theme is Anything Goes!

I chose to use a new die to me called Colorize
and came up with this card!

As you can see by the picture below this die has 17 pieces all layered
one on top of the other.
It looks harder then it really is as each die piece scores a line where the
next piece goes. It also has each piece named and numbered on the back to help
make it easier to assemble.  I did have one piece though that I just couldn't figure
out where it went on the flower so left it off as well as a flower center piece
as I forgot to add it..whoops!
I stenciled a background for under the flower
then stamped my sentiment with Dew Drop Grape Jelly ink!

Being an Anything Goes challenge be sure to take
a peek at what my 'sistahs'  have to show you over at
The Sisterhood!

Dog Rose Card

Hello All, have you been like me and spent your pandemic in house days
online shopping for paper crafting goodies more then you normally would?
I have to admit I have been addicted to not only layering stencils and layering stamps
but even the layered dies have captured my attention which is where this
card has come from!

I saw a challenge at Just Us Girls that I was able to use a 'new' to me
layered die from Altenew called Dog Rose.

I actually made 3 more cards using this die in different colors
which I will post at a later time.

I backed my card with paper from Lawn Fawn Spring Fling pad.

I have to admit that I also have taken quite a 'fancy' to the Altenew
stamps and dies and this set is no exception!

Signs of Summer Challenge

Time for a new challenge at Double D
and the theme is Signs of Summer
with the inspiration mood board below.

This is sure to be a fun challenge as the signs of summer are endless!

I once again used the mood board as inspiration
letting the top left corner tile inspire ME!

I created my own background using the ship lap builder die from The Greetery.
I think this is must have die for every card maker, so fun and so very useful.
I created several of these backgrounds last summer and this is one of them
using TH Iced Spruce Distress Ink.
It reminded me of the picture in the above mood board.

I also used a never before used die from my stash from Cheapo Dies
Daddy's Fishing Buddy.  At the writing of this post this die was still
available but just so you know all Cheapo dies are being discontinued sad to say.

I used a scrap of  a background paper for the fish I had made
previously as  wanted the look
of a rainbow trout, it worked perfectly!

we always have a cool prize up for grabs!!

June 15th already and that means it's time for a new challenge at
Dies R Us and as always our theme is anything goes!
One of my latest purchases from Dies R Us is this
Jeanine's Art Spring Basket die set.
It is loaded with all kinds of possibilities!
I adhered it on a Tutti Designs Scalloped stitched square
which was adhered to Tutti Designs Lily Heart Panel
coving up the heart lily panel
( makes an entire new use for this die).

I stamped my sentiment on a Tutti Designs Scalloped Stitched rectangle.

June Halloween Challenge Reminder

It's reminder time at Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge
to join us and create a Halloween card
and we have a fun mood board to inspire you below.

You don't have to use the mood board but just create anything Halloween!
I did let it inspire me and used the lower right corner for my stamps.
I used an image from Power Poppy that I have had forever and it has
never seen ink until today!
I colored it in with my Copics then mounted on a piece of
washi tape background panel generously given to me from my
friend and teammate Dar!

So we would love to have YOU join us for our challenge
that ends on the 28th at Two Old Bats!

The Sea

Today is our new challenge theme beginning at
The Sisterhood of Crafters and is being hosted by ME
and I chose Water~Water~Water !

I have to admit I struggled with what I was going to use
as my mind just went blank lol!

I did have this stamp set pulled out and laying
on my desk from Sweet n' Sassy The Sea and decided
it would do the job.

I kept it pretty simple by inking the water area then stamping my image
over the top with Dew Drop Nautical Blue ink.
The sentiment is part of the stamp set.
I felt it needed something so added a few red sequins.

Take a visit to The Sisterhood blog and see all the fun creations
from my 'sistahs' and join in with us!

Love Birds

Fun card today joining in with the CAS Mix Up which is FLIGHT
using watercolors.

I watercolored this cute little bird set using Tombow markers,
pretty easy peazy!
The background is a watercolor of sorts using some water
and a mix of powders.

Simple card and not much to it but I liked this cute bird set
and it 'fell' into my card one day while shopping
and it's the first time I have used it!

Haunted House

It's time for a new challenge at Two Old Bats
and as always our theme is Anything Goes Halloween!
We have a fun mood board to inspire you
and you can choose to use it or not!

I try to use it if I can as I find it fun and intriguing
and find it does help when creating!

I went with the spook house to build my card around!
I used a haunted house cut out and  a SU bat punch
and two punches from Martha Stewart for the cat and witch
that I have had forever.

I have to say having this challenge year round is fun
as it gives me plenty of opportunity to use my very neglected
Halloween stash!
I also used a background paper from Lavinia on a slimline card base.
The sentiment is inside!

We would LOVE to have you join us at our
Two Old Bats Halloween challenge...see you there!

Create A Buzz

A new challenge is starting today at Double D and our theme is
BEE INSPIRED!

We have a fun mood board and you can let anything inspire you like I did.
I used the upper right corner to  inspire me
with a stamp set from SNS when they were still in business.
Though I used a stamp set, a digital version of this is still available
from the artist Jan Mahew HERE!

I used India ink to stamp on watercolor paper and colored in with
my Tombow markers.

The papers were new to my (purchased n March) from
The Paper Boutique Bumblebee's Dance.

We would love to have you  join us so to see what
'all the buzz is about' head on over to Double D
and see all the beautiful designs from the team!

Seashell Lighthouse

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today:

Well Tutti Fans this is my LAST design and post for Tutti Designs

as I have decided to step down.  My husband is fully retired now
and we will be spending our summers at our lake house
not giving me a lot of time to craft.

I have been with Tutti Designs since the 'get go' and have had a lot of fun
using all the wonderful dies, but it's time to let someone else have the
privilege of  working for them!

I want to thank all for having me as part of this amazing die company!

For my last post I have the Seashell Lighthouse, so unique, so different.

Edited to Add:
After I wrote this post we (the Tutti Design Team)
were all notified that the Tutti team is all being
let go, not sure what this means for Tutti Designs
but this might be the last post you see on the blog...SAD!

I did a clean and layered card.
I die cut it from red and mounted it on a Stitched Nesting Banner.

I did the same with the sentiment but this time using the
Cross Stitch Nesting Banner ( only because I pulled the wrong one out)
but hey, it showcases both, right?

Birthday Celebration

It's the first of the month and that means it's time for a new challenge
at Dies R Us and as always our theme is 'Anything Goes'
as long as you use a die by a company that DRU carries!

I created a bright and cheerful birthday card using a few fun dies
and lots of brightly colored paper scraps.

The stitched flower by Impression Obsession is fun to create
flowers with as the flower cuts all 3 pieces separate,
I just used three different color scrap pieces then mixed and matched them.

For the background I used designer paper and die cut with the
Tutti Design Stitched Hexagon.
I added a few Precious Markieke Buttrflies.
