Garden Inspiration #3...well sort of!!

You might call this more of a "nature" inspiration...but just look at this big guy...he is a good 15 to 16" long...I don't know what made me look outside across the creek when  I did, but sure am glad I did, as I saw our cat Soot, crossing the bridge in her "hunt mode"...stalking~tail straight up...so I called her and she ignored me as cats do, so I ran out and across the bridge and snapped her up before "she" had her foot or face bit off...geez....in the many years we have lived here on the creek I have never ever seen one turtle.....so that is where this crazy card came from........the stamp set used is SU Natures Nest......the sentiment is a rub on.....remember the group "The Turtles"?....they had a song called "Happy Together"...so that is where all the craziness comes in...sorry couldn't resist!!

I do have lots more garden (real ones) inspiration to share later!

Garden Inspiration #2

Lilys...who doesn't love lilys???  There are so many varieties....I have lots and lots.....while I was out of town, my sister attended the area Garden Clubs plant sales...she bought  6 new day lilies for us to share....I planted mine yesterday...yummy names like Ocean Rain~Brocaded Gown~Southern Sunset~Scarlet Orbit~Pardon Me~and Designer Gown.....how fun...I in turn gave her two starts of a double white lilac~3 starts of my Pee Gee Hydranga~a new Iris I had just purchased and not yet planted called Edith Wolford...I have a habit of buying plants for names that mean something to me...my grandmother was Edith...I have a rose named "Bess" after my other grandmother "Bessie".....I also shared two Hosta's~ Blue Cadet and Christmas...and a start of Lobelia........
My card inspiration today is one of the Oriental Lilies newly planted this year...I saw these"paper" lilies on another blog.....made with the SU 5 Petal Flower Punch....are these fantastic or what.....love them!!!   Back tomorrow with another "inspiration from the garden!!!

Garden Inspiration #1

I am blooming...well my garden is anyway.......I decided this week to use my "blooms" as inspiration for my projects!  My first card is featuring my "PINK" Lily of the Valley......I purchased this unique color several years ago...one little plant for $7.99...I got my money's worth as I have dozens now and share them with  others!
The other pictures I took yesterday morning...already since then it has popped out even more...a deep~dark Iris bud yesterday is a full in bloom flower today...will have to get a picture of it later. I was gone for 4 days, plus we had rain and cold temps prior to leaving for several days, so now am waaaaaaaaaaay behind in what I thought was "keeping up"......while I was gone the racoons came and ate all my Yarrows and my newly purchased last year "Pink Poodle" cone flower....and they drank a can of Raspberry Lipton iced tea, that was set down by the garden and forgotten (Lori was that you?)...no kidding, they partied hearty while I was gone........the yellow cat (Pumpkin as we call him) in the garden is a "drop off" from last year.....he is rough, won't even go into the details, but this guy has way more then 9 lives.....we are amazed he is still around, he is living in my garden...wish he would scare the racoons away!!

A Bit of Cuteness

A super quick card to share with a stamp I bought yesterday at M's........saw these on another blog last week, and just happened upon them (and a few more :>)   yesterday......very fast card...have lots of projects almost done to share this week...but had to do boring housework instead...blah!!  The wavy lines around the heart I added myself....had a smudge of ink...so the lines were a "save"!!

The baskets I made for my Mother's Day brunch......I used the basket and blooms die from SU along with the new SU embossing folder Square Lattice...I love how it looks like "basket weave"!!  I made 7 of these about midnight on Saturday.....filled with mint and white chocolate...yum!!!

Time To Bloom

Had to do a challenge...couldn't help myself.......Melissa at lilybeanspaperie has a challenge using  "A Creative Mint" grouping......here s my version......I still need to figure out how to get better photo's, but its a cold and rainy day here...and not to mention that my walls are "logs"...dark...so hard for a "photo shoot"!!
The inside of the card is finished as well....I added a bit of glitter to the daisy.....using that textured plate from
SU again...my all time NEW favorite next to the swiss dots one......short post...I am cooking for 18 tomorrow!.

Use One To Make Another~WHAT??

Do I have your attention...lol.......I love to blog surf (computer stalking is more like it).......I came across a ton of fantastic idea's...how these gals get so creative is beyond me, but I am sooooooooooo glad they are!!
I found two different idea's to make these "pansies"...the concept is the same, just a "tad" different....that is where "use one to make another" comes in......the Stampin Up butterfly punch to make a pansy...yes, you  heard me right....I just love it when these punches can go way further then "what they were intended for"....I didn't have the color of  re-inkers used in the links , but made do with what I had until I can order what I need.....I used Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry for my first card...different, but there are lots of different color pansies now...I love the pure white and the apricot ones, and they even have pink ones.....here are the links for them.....the first is from Dostampinwith dawn she even has a wonderful video of it......the second is from Flowerbug  she is using markers or watercolor crayons for hers.....a totally different look.
The card I made is for my Mom's birthday...she is 83 today...she loves pansies...think I will grab her a bunch to go with the card...and her Lowes gift card (at 83 she says she doesn't "need" anything...so a gift card is well received).
This card was made with the water color crayons and my black SU marker...I used Elegant Eggplant and So Safron...gee this card is much better IRL.....!!
Will be back tomorrow with more of what I found during my "surfing"...you won't want to miss it!!!
If you would like to order the butterfly punch used...let me know and I can order it for you!!!

More Hello Again & A Birthday Card for hubby!!

Here I am again using my favorite little SU set called "Hello Again".....that little flower just makes me "happy"!!  I used buttons for the centers this time...left a sentiment off...not sure if I want one .... if I do I will add it later!!
My hubby's birthday was yesterday....I am terrible at making "guy" cards...I find them so boring...sorry but I do...boys are fine, it's just that I rarely have any "guy" images, and the ones I do I have  I have used for him before, (not that "HE" would probably remember anyway...lol...but I did have this cute little airplane and banner to use...well its cool this morning and a bit "wet"...good time to dig in my gardens, so am off to do just that...be back tomorrow with some other goodies...and I found a couple of challenges I "have to" do...I know, I know I said I am trying to "wean" myself from them.....but some of them...well I just can't help myself...see ya later!!
I added "this" sentiment inside, as I buy him a Dairy Queen cake roll every year, as its his favorite...thought it would be perfect!!  Okay...now I'm out of here...really for sure this time..LOL!!
