lots of ideas here, lions~tigers~elephants and so on.

I actually made TWO cards for this challenge using Circus stamps
from Craft Consortium.

I used Mr. Seal for my second card, also colored with Tombows

There is also a third image to this set I didn't use along with balloons
and a couple sentiments I will show at another time.

I was lucky enough to have a piece of Big Top paper in my stash I used for both!

Fruit Basket

Here we are in the middle of August already and that means
all our produce and fruits are ready to harvest!

That brings us to our new challenge theme at Double D
which just so happens to be FRUITS AND VEGETABLES!

We have a colorful fruit and veggie mood board to give you some inspiration!

I have a habit of ordering new stamps/dies just for our challenges
(a good excuse to shop, eh?)

I did order the basket specifically for this challenge,
it is a layered basket stamp/die from Sunny Studios
that I stamped with Altenew inks Vanilla Cream~Hazelnut~Almond Butter~Milk Chocolate
in that order.
I know I will get lots of use from this set and really like how it layered!

The fruits are also a first time use that I have had for quite some time
and this is the first I have used them, they are from Yvonne Creations.  All were colored in with Copics.
The background paper is a newly required pad of Prima 'Fruit Paradise',
I love the vintage 'feel' of it.

Make sure to pop on over to the Double D challenge blog and see all
the fabulous designs from the design teams, amazing as always!

Swimming By

Hi All, it is time for a new challenge at Dies R Us
and I am showing another stamped image and die once again
using the Catherine Pooler cute Ocean Chums sets
(links are below).
Ths time I chose to use Mrs. Octopus in all her floral glory!'
Isn't she just the cutest??
I colored her with copics and use a Nuvo glitter pen to add some sparkle
to her flowers.
The porthole used is from Tutti Desgins.

I hope you will join us at our Dies R Us challenge,
it is as always an anything goes challenge
as long as you use a brand of die carried in the store.

BOO

We are half way thru our challenge at
Two Old Bats and we hope you will join in the fun!

Below is a fun Mood Board to inspire you
and it's just that, you can create anything as long as it is Halloween themed!

I once again went with the mood board to create my card
letting the bottom right photo inspire me.

I once belonged to the Spellbinders dies of the month club,
I think it was back in September 2019 and this was their small die of the month.
Yep, this is the first time I have used it, about time I would say,
it also comes with a cute little trick or treat skeleton.
The BoO is also part of the set.
The little stripes on the legs are hand glued on, each tiny piece, eegads!!

The background paper is all one piece from DCWV Midnight Spell 2010
collection, eleven years old and I am finally using it!
The spooky tree is a die cut from Cottage Cutz I grabbed
from one of their sales, look at the cute little owl sitting in it!
The flying with is an old Martha Stewart punch.
The card is approx. 4 1/2"

Take a peek at Two Old Bats and see all the fun inspiration,
join in with us too!

Thinking of You

Time for a new challenge theme at The Sisterhood of Crafters
and it is LEAVES chosen by our former team 'sistah' Vicki!

I made a pretty simple card using a section of a stencil
from Simple Stories.

I used a never used before embossing folder for the background
and Lawn Fawn stamp and die for the sentiment.

Pretty basic card and not much else to say!

Won't you please join us at The Sisterhood
and take a peek at the beauty my 'sistahs' have created while there!

Handpicked Bouquet

Hello! And welcome to the Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop

with Altenew!

The purpose of this hop is to raise awareness of all the challenge blogs
out there. Isn't that great? Love the idea of knowing what's available.

The Sisterhood of Crafters has been invited to join the hop,
and I'm so excited to bring you some inspiration
from my Altenew products!

Did you know that Altenew has a weekly sale?
Normally the sale is up to 45% off the items they have listed for the week.
That is how I have built up my own Altenew collection
and that is also where I purchased this set from and the background washi tape as well.
Normally they offer the stamp and die as a set or you can purchase one or the other,
I prefer buying the set when available, the new sales start each Monday.

The set I am using today is Handpicked Bouquet stamp and die set
along with the 4 1.2" wide washi tape Gold Splatter Blush.
These wide washi tapes are just the perfect sizes for backgrounds.
I also used the Altenew ink cube sets Cherry Blossom and Green Valley
to ink my stamps.

The Flower Challenge .... Use A Die

Beautiful Day

This month at Double D we are doing something a bit different
by adding an extra challenge featuring all ALTENEW products!

Our blog was asked to join in an Ultimate Blog Hop with
Altenew
and several other fabulous challenges, what an honor!

For one of my cards I chose to use the pretty
Build A Flower Chrysanthemum and matching die.
This set is a layering flower stamp set, so easy to line up
using 4 different colors of inks for the flowers and three colors for the leaves.

My colors for the flower came from the Golden Sunset ink cubes
and the leaves from the Green Fields ink cubes.
These are perfect sets for layering flowers and leaves as
the inks run from light to dark.  The Green Fields inks have three different
green inks and a permanent black ink.

The background for this card was an Altenew background stencil
Leaves and Berries.

The sentiment is from the Beautiful Day stamp set.
I added a few gems for sparkle!

For my second card I used the Altenew stamp and die set
Sparkled!

I started out with some Altenew paper for the background Sweet Moments paper pack.
I stamped the front flower using Red Sunset ink cubes and Golden Sunset cubes
for the flower center..
For the second flower I used Golden Sunset but this time didn't stamp
the centers as I knew I would be covering it up anyhow,
but I stamped the second flower layer with Versamark and an embossing powder and the third layer
again with Versmark then added a glitter embossing powder for some sparkle.
It really has a lot of shine IRL!
The leaves were stamped with Green Valley ink cubes.
The sentiment is part of the Sparkled stamp set.
Of course I had to add a few gems for more sparkle!

To see even more beautiful Altenew inspiration
head on over to the Double D blog and see what the Design Team has to
show you, join in with us and with the Altenew Ultimate challenge
as they have a great prize to be won!

Please keep in mind that our normal two challenges
(1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month)
will also still be running as usual,
this hop is just an extra fun one for the month of August!

Mason Jar Challenge

It's a new challenge at Double D and our theme is
Mason Jars AND/OR what you see in them in the mood board below
.

I think you can see exactly which of the photos inspired me
with this card!  I had an idea and went with it though it
didn't turn out as exactly as I had planned,  this card will
probably go to one of the granddaughters birthdays
after all I have 13 granddaughters and 5 great granddaughters!

I used a mason jar embossing folder on vellum
then used a copic to color the backside of it within a negative circle.
That's where it went a little 'off the beaten path',
I had wanted a soft glow, not so bright but I went with it anyhow.

I used a Fairy Hugs stamp Moon Fairy and Versamark stamped on the front
of the jar, then embossed her with a fine EB powder.

I placed the entire panel over a bluish card
then added a hemp cord bow.

Make sure to visit the Double D challenge to see all the fabulous inspiration
from the DT, we have an awesome prize up for grabs too!!

Trick or Treat

Happy August!
We have a new challenge starting today at Two Old Bats
and would love to have you join us!

There is a super fun and cute mood board to inspire you
though as long as it is Halloween you can use anything!

I think you can guess without even telling you what I let inspire me!
I have had this stamp set in my stash forever and it was fun to
finally pull it out and use it.
It is from The Paper Studio.

I don't know about you, but when Halloween rolls around I never seem to have
enough time to use all my fun Halloween goodies
so this year round challenge allows me to use my fun products year round, I LOVE that!

I added a fun spider die cut, though you can't see his eyes they are there
and a few black sequins.

So why not join us at Two Old Bats and get ahead of your
Halloween creating, stop by the blog to see all the awesomely FUN
creations by the team!

Summer Stingray

Today being the first of the month means a new challenge at
Dies R Us and is ANYTHING GOES
making it super easy to join us just by using a brand of die
that is carried in the store!

I recently saw this cute stamp and die set by
Catherine Pooler instore and just had to have it.
It comes with many fun images and sentiments
and all the images of the sea life have flowers on as
my stingray does...so CUTE!!

The set is Ocean Chums. I have all the links below.

I used a few different SU inks to ink the Tutti Designs Seashell Frame
hoping to give it a 'coral' look in color.

Thank you for visiting me today!
