Fall Bliss

Brrrr, it sure is cool out this morning but to be a very nice day!
What we call 'game day' around here since we are in
'Notre Dame' territory...though during the 'games' I am usually in here making cards lol!

I have a CAS card using a die and stamp combined.
This card was made   using the new Tutti Designs die

I stamped a SU pumpkin , added the vine, a tiny flower and sentiment.

The unique thing about this card, is the little square that the image is on
opens up and that is where you write your message.
Pretty simple but kind of cute, too!

Spooky

I have a spooky Halloween card to share today using a die from
Tutti Designs 'Cooking Witch'.
Now what do you suppose she has brewing in  that pot?
She should of bought an 'instant pot' and she could of cooked faster...lol!!

Using some TH distress inks, I inked a big old moon,
added a glittered bat and a glittered kitty too!

I die cut the witch from some scrap paper....
I have to admit, I don't like witches very much, they give me the creeps!

I do like how this card turned out though
and you will see her again as I have 2 more cards using her lovely form!!

Made With Love

I needed something to get the old 'mojo' going
and saw this fun sketch at

so decided it looked like fun.
I also wanted to play once again in Darnell's NBUS challenge
with a stamp set I purchased on Ebay several years ago and
it has never even seen ink!

IT'S HERE!

so here is my card.
As you can see I turned the sketch to accommodate the stamp.

You also might notice the plaid  washi ribbon underneath is a bit 'wonky'
(no I hadn't been drinking..lol)
but it is a fabric washi and it has been in my drawer so long the 'sticky' is gone,
so I had to add a strip of 1/2" tear-ific tape to the back,
and being fabric it just 'did it's own thing'!
But I kind of like it wonky (that's MY story and I am sticking to it!!

For the stamping, I used SU's Kind and Cozy set with Bermuda Bay ink.
The flower was pen to stamp using Lucky Limeade and Real Red SU markers.

Now hopefully this will get me back in the mood to create,
I certainly hope so!

Sometimes You're The Dog

New challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters starts today
and our hostess is our 'sistah' Anna.
She has chosen the theme of
'Use Your Dies'

I bought a bunch of new dies, back in March I think
that I have yet had time to use....
so dug through them and pulled out this cute Peeking Pups die.

The hydrant is a printable from Pinterest
and the sentiment is computer generated.
I stamped some ink splatters in the background using a stamp from the set
Sparkle N Sprinkle Donna's Sytlin' Sayings.
Pretty CAS for me, but sometimes simple is good!
The day I made this card I felt like the 'hydrant'...lol!

Make sure and visit the challenge blog at

my 'sistah's have to show you.

Halloween

Happy Monday!
How was your weekend...busy like mine?
It has been about 93 here the last few days and
I really need to work outside but it's just too dang hot!
Not complaining though, as it will be cold before we know it!

Today I have a quick Halloween card to share I made for
the Tutti Designs store using the Spooky Gate die.

Pretty simple card using a neat Halloween paper for the background
and just adding the gate die cut from orange.
I die cut just the bat and added a tiny black pearl to the gate,
then punched a back glittery cat from a snippet of scrap paper.

That's it for now, have a great day!!

A Puppy's Halloween

This is my blog post today on the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog.

Hi, Diane with you today with the cutest stamp set ever
'A Puppy's Halloween'!

For this card I did a very simple and easy 'Z' fold card.
Cut your card stock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2",
then score at 4 1/2" and 1 1/4".
The paper I choose for my card base was Mirror Card Purple Mist Satin.
so shiny and gorgeous.
It is white on the backside making it perfect for the inside of the card.

I added a strip of Tear-ific Tape 1 ½” to the card front,
trimming where it over hung the front piece.
I then peeled off the paper covering and added
Margarita glitter...so pretty!

For the card focal point,
I cut a piece of  Mirror Card Glossy Black 3" x 3".
The image was stamped with Nuvo Hybrid Ink Metro Grey
then colored with my Copics.
I die cut the image using Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Square die.

Using Nuvo Glue Pen Medium,

glue was added to the hat and glittered with Margarita and Orchid glitters.
The same was done for the broom, this time using Creamsicle glitter.
Once the glues were dry I used the Glitter Brush to clean up the image.
A tiny bow was added to the dog.

Both the front sentiment and the inside sentiment were stamped with Versamark,
(but first using the anti-static bag before stamping).
The sentiments were then embossed with Black Detail embossing powder.
I also ran a panel of the Mirror Card Glossy Black and Mirror Card Purple Mist Satin
on the inside of the card.

Here is another look at the finished card.
I think he turned out so cute!

Thank you for visiting with me today and be sure and stop back in again

Little Cowgirl Boot

I have the cutest little cowgirl boot to share today!
I made it using the cut file from
The Cutting Cafe's Vintage Boot Shaped Card.

This was super easy to make...heck it took me more time to choose my papers lol!
Even if you don't have an electronic machine to cut with
there is always a PDF included too!

Our assignment for the group DT  Blog post this time was 'shoes'...
Oh my, wait until you see all the fabulous variety the team has come up with!
You can view it all HERE on TCC blog tomorrow (9/21)......

I decorated my boot with a vintage sequin trim,
a bit of lace at the top and some pretty buttons to finish....

I embossed the bottom of the shoe to resemble leather....

hope to see you at TCC blog tomorrow...
leave a comment there for YOUR chance to win 3 choice cut files of your own!

Sentiment/Quotes

Today our challenge at
Double D Challenges is being hosted by Team Darlene
and the theme is
Sentiments/Quotes and using the mood board below for inspiration.

I went with a stamp I bought because it had a special meaning to me.
Anyone that has ever had the pleasure of loving a pet will understand my silliness!

I used to sing this verse to my Nellie dog and flapped her ears while I was singing it to her,
I always called her sunshine every morning, I greeted her with
'Good Morning Sunshine"
She always loved it with her head in my lap,
I can hardly hear those words anymore without tearing up
but it's a good memory right?

I know silliness, but it just fit her....
so I was so happy when I went to Hobbylobby one day and saw this frame...perfect...
it sits in my kitchen so I can see her sunshiny face everyday!

I used Sparkle N Sprinkle Daffodil embossing powder
and the paper is from Penny Black, my first paper pad from that company
and I absolutely love it!!

So take a peek at the wonderful variety of creations the girls at
Double D challenges have come up with...
amazing as always!!

Birthday Wishes

The weekend sure seemed to fly by and I had a HUGE list of things to get done.
Of course that didn't happen we had too much company drop by
but I did manage to get one batch of salsa made!

I do have something new to put on my blog today and that is a
birthday card made with a cute Tutti Designs die

I used a dots embossing folder for the background
(the entire front is embossed, but my camera did not pick it up...sigh)
and then 3 Tutti Designs Nesting stitched Circles,
one of which I stamped the sentiment on.

Did you know that the Tutti Designs Nesting dies are only $12 a set...WOW...
I can hardly believe the price of these (and  I have them all of course..lol)...
Well, I will be back tomorrow with something fun and new...don't miss it!

Happy Hopping!

Now onto my card.

I used the gorgeous stamp set

I started out by making my own background paper on brown card stock.
I first stamped the smaller of the magnolia from the set in random places
all over the  card stock with Versamark embossing ink.
Squash Marbled embossing powder was then used to emboss the flowers.
I love the pretty color of this EB powder!

The sentiment was stamped with Versamark,
then embossed with Coffee embossing powder.

I stamped the large flower with Nuvo Hybrid Ink Pad Acorn Brown,
colored it with Copics,
then I went around each petal using one of the pens from
then hand cut it out using Tonic 5" mini scissors
and popping it up with foam dimensionals..
I added a bow to the flower to finish it off.

I wanted to add a bit more 'sparkle'
so I die cut a Spellbinders Lovin' Diamonds die
and added 1 1/2" Tear-ific Tape around the edges then sprinkled
Aztec Gold Glitter.  I then added the flower panel using 1/2" Tear-ific Tape.

Thank you for visiting with me today!
Leave a comment for your chance to win the release!
Next on the hop is our lovely and very talented Shona.
