Bauble Stencil

I have a fun card today using a brand new stencil (to me) from Sweet Poppy.
I saw this stencil on a FB group I belong to and after a bit
of searching was able to locate a company in the US that carried it!

I purchased my stencil from Del Bello's Designs
and it is called Sweet Poppy Bauble.
I added the link so if interested  (I enabled two others to buy it)
you won't have to do all the leg work
to find it like I did.
This was the nicest company to order from and it shipped FAST!!

There is also a matching die if interested.

This will be my 'go to' Christmas card this year and I will be making many more!
This card was my first attempt with this stencil and I have many more in mind
but am waiting for an order from Stampscapes to make many more,
I used Dew Drop inks Gray Flannel and Angel Pink for my colors
and the inside stamp, stamped in VersaFine Clair Nocturne is from
Craft Cortortium Noel stamp set

I would love to hear your thoughts on this stencil,
do you love it as much as I do?
I did add some sparkle with a stardust gelly roll pen.

Have a SWELL Birthday

A new challenge theme at The Sisterhood of Crafters
begins today and the theme chosen by our 'sistah' Birgit is
The Ocean Is Calling and I Must Go.

I used a never before been used Shark set I got from
Avery Elle 'Sea-prize'.

The background is one I created with various powders
this summer while at the lake house.
I made several different combinations and colors of these
and thought this one worked good for an ocean scene.
It has some metallic gold on it but it is all covered up
by my silly shark!

The sentiment is part of the same set.

Make sure to pop by The Sisterhood and see all the beautiful
creations by my 'sistahs'!

Colors Of Summer Challenge

A new challenge and theme starting today at
Double D Challenges and it is
The Colors of Summer.

We have a very colorful mood board to
give you some inspiration to create!

While spending my summer at the lake house last summer
I created all kinds of background panels using various mediums
and this is one using a stencil from Pretty Pink Posh Jungle Background Stencil
and some Dew Drop Inks.

The sentiment is from Pink Fresh Studio Simply Sentiments Hello set
stamped on Pretty Pink Post Strip Stitched die.
The colors reminded me of the bottom left picture, beach balls
on the mood board!

Take a peek over on the Double D blog to see
plenty more fabulous inspiration from the Design team!

Ahoy

Here we are in the middle of July already and it's time for a new challenge at
Dies R Us!
Our challenge is always an Anything Goes making it easy to enter!

Even though it's ATG, I try to stay within a monthly theme
and to me July means red~white and blue.

I used Tutti Designs Floral Anchor and Stitched Banners for my card.

I thought the word AHOY would be fun so die cut my letters
using Cheapo dies Font Newsprint.
I felt it need a little something so I added a twine to the top.

Here are the links to the dies I have used:

Tutti Designs Floral Anchor
Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Banners
Cheapo Dies Font Newsprint

For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.

Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Flamingo Birthday

It's time for a new challenge theme at
The Sisterhood of Crafters
and our theme is Embossing either Dry or Wet
and chosen by our 'sistah' Annie!

I chose to go with a 'wet' embossing on a 'new to me' die.
I have to admit I created this card in February so I received the die
right around then, but being gone most of the summer I needed to work ahead!

I die cut my flamingo from a bright pink card stock
then rubbed Versamark all over it
and heat embossed with SNS Flashy Flamingo embossing powder
that also has glitter in it.
Funny how the name fits isn't it?

I sure like to hit the sales and the die cut underneath the flamingo
was also a 'new to me die' (I will list all below)
and I think it is so pretty!

A nice bright and cheerful birthday card!

Make sure to pop on over to The Sisterhood
and see al the beautiful designs from my 'sistahs'!!

Two Old Bats July Halloween Challenge Reminder

We are half way through our Halloween challenge
at Two Old Bats and this is my card for the reminder post!

I once again used the inspiration/mood board for my card
going with the bottom left corner of the cat and pumpkins!

I stamped my image from Sparkle N Sprinkle's
When Black Cats Prowl stamp set designed by Donna Ellis.
Being a cat lover I just love this cute and fun set.

I stamped the image on watercolor paper then colored in with
with Tombow markers.
The papers are from the old DCWV The Midnight Spell 2010

Being I was not home when creating this card I left it very simple
but it will be an easy mailer for sure.

Head on over to Two Old Bats challenge blog
as some of the designers have even more awesome inspiration for you!  We would love to have YOU join in with us!!

Vellum Flowers

My poor blog has felt very neglected this summer other then some DT work
so while being home I decided to do a fun challenge

Mod Squad Challenge Vellum Flowers

I stamped my flowers on vellum using Gina K Designs Sending Love stamp set
with Versamark and SNS Fine detail gold embossing powder.
Then I flipped the vellum panel over and colored on the back with Copics.
The butterfly is part of the set as well.  Nothing fancy but I needed
something to motivate me and thought this would do the trick.
I don't have a ton of Gina K Designs so I 'need' to win the
offered gift certificate so I can buy more, teehee!!

On another note I was cleaning my craft room yesterday
(yes really I was) and I knocked my Copic tower over and broke
a piece off and copics went flying everywhere, I also slopped my coffee on a couple of finished pretty cards, just not a good day at all!!

Summer Gingham Picnic

Today at Double D our challenge theme is SUMMER Gingham!
We have a super fun inspiration board to get you going!

I used a cute set I purchased from Hello Bluebird last summer or maybe
even the summer before and this is the first time it has seen ink, my bad!!
I also purchased the matching die set making it an easy way to cut out my 'critters'
having a picnic.

I used gingham for the picnic blanket and the fun sun
The grasses and the sky were stenciled using Lawn Fawn stencils.
The critters were colored in with Tombow Markers.
I sure had fun with these cute critters!

Pop on over to the Double D challenge and see all the
beautiful gingham cards from my teammates,
they are sure to not only WOW you but inspire you as well!

Two Old Bats July Halloween Challenge

Already into July and that means a new Halloween challenge
is beginning at Two Old Bats Halloween challenge

We have a fun mood board to get you inspired
though it can be anything goes as long as it is Halloween!

I used the top right corner for my inspiration
with the fun dog.

I stamped my dog from the Sparkle N Sprinkle A Puppy's Halloween set
then water colored in with what I had on hand at our lake house which was
a combination of Tombow markers and Derwent Inktense pencils.

The paper is from DCWV the Midnight Spell 2010, yep, it has been in my
stash for eleven long years, about time I bought some new
Halloween papers I think.
The sentiment is part of the set mentioned above
though SNS is now out of business a digital of the dog only
can be found HERE!

Celebrate

Happy July 4th...almost!
The first of July  brings us to a new challenge at
Dies R Us
and our theme is always Anything Goes!

Thinking ahead to July 4th in the states, I created a patriotic quilt.
This has been a fun and favorite die of mine being I used to
love to sew and can make this 'quilt' many different colors,
it became a favorite for mixing colors and patterns.
You can see another quilt card I created HERE.

As you can see I cut the die out in red~white~blue and a patterned paper
then paper piecing the pieces  where I wanted.
It now leaves me with enough to make 3 or 4 more quilt cards
with variations of the pieced patterns.
