Blue and Yellow Flower Challenge

Today is the last day of the challenge at The Flower Challenge and it is
Blue and Yellow to show support for Ukraine. 
I really wanted to join this challenge and had just recently
stenciled some card fronts and one fit the challenge perfectly! 

I used a newly purchased stencil from Pink Fresh Studios
(YEAH, I finally used something new when I first received it, instead of a year later LOL)
The stencil is Garden Florals, such an easy stencil to work with!

I used all Altenew inks and a bit of Nuvo drops.
The sentiment is a strip from Creative Expressions.

A Little Birdie Told Me

A new challenge begins at Can You Handle The Pressure
and our optional twist this time is Things With Wings.
You must use an embossing folder and can add heat embossing if so desired!

I used a The Paper Studio embossing folder with birds, lots of birds!
I added a branch die cut with a Spellbinders die, a little sparkle-y bird
and birdhouse and a computer generated  sentiment! 

The inside of the card says 'it's your birthday'.

Pretty Bluebirds

 It's time for a new challenge theme at 
The Sisterhood of Crafters and being hosted
by our 'sistah' Ina and she has chosen the theme of Layers.

I have to admit I haven't done many layer cards lately
due to the high cost of postage these days,
so I pulled out a pretty paper pad by Heartfelt Creations to see
if I could come up with a 'simpler' layered card!

I used a set I have had in my stash for quite sometime 
the Birds and Blooms collection, everything is pretty much  from that pad.

I used foam pop up dots to lift the layers slightly.

Peace On Earth Anything Christmas

A new challenge starting at Peace On Earth
and as always it is an  
Anything Christmas challenge!

We always have a mood board for inspiration
use it or not, it's up to you!

I always try to let the inspiration/mood boards inspire me,
it just gives a good starting point!

I used a die from Memory Box Christmas Ornaments
and I think this is the first time i have used it!

I cut it twice, once from white card stock and then just the
ornaments from a buffalo plaid, then paper pieced them in.
I place a black die cut bow on top of the holly.

The back panel was embossed with a snowflake embossing folder.

Beach Time

It's Beach Time at Double D, at least that is our theme 
starting today!

We have a fun 'beachy' mood board for inspiration
but you can create anything as long as you follow the 
Beach Time theme!

 BEACH TIME

My biggest problem was deciding 'what' to use as I have quite a nice 
assortment of beach themed dies and stamps to choose from!

I ended up selecting these beach cabana huts from the
Bo Bunny 'Life's A Beach' stamp set.  This fun stamp set had so many options
to choose from, but I let the top middle picture on the mood board inspire me!

This is the first time this stamp set has seen ink and looks like I have
had it since 2017!  About time I used it I think!
I inked up some sand and sky, added a few sea gulls and an anchor and made the huts pretty
colorful with Copics.
Though I live in Michigan, just over the state line and probably about 45 miles
from here in Indiana is Michigan City that has fun beach houses for rent 
in all kinds of pretty colors, that is where I got my idea from to make pretty
colorful houses.  We used to drive by and see them as with all the colors
together, it is quite a site to see.

Nautical Masculine Card

We are at our second challenge for the month of June at 
Dies R Us 
and are continuing on with our Dads/Masculine theme for this month,
a good time to get those 'guy' cards made for when you need them!

 

Being the middle of June I was feeling a bit summery and went with a 
nautical card for my guys!

Four Stitched squares were die cut using Tuttii Designs Stitched Nesting Squares
and one stitched rectangle from Tutti Designs Stitched Rectangles.
A small nautical Impression Obsession icon was placed in each one.
A twine bow was added to finish!

Two Old Bats June Halloween Challenge Reminder

We are halfway through our Two Old Bats Halloween challenge

I had previously cut out this fun owl image on my Cricut
and finally put it to use.
I used a fun doily die cut underneath and an OLD
Martha Stewart pumpkin border punch.

 A new challenge is starting today at

I used once again a never before been used EB folder from Sizzix  Bird and Wreath set.
It was run thru my Gemini with cordin-ations paper that I sanded.

Mountain Scene

Time for a new challenge theme at 
The Sisterhood of Crafters  and the theme is
Seasonal Landscape chosen by our 'sistah' Debbie!

I used a Stampin Up never before used set that I actually purchased
from SU demonstrator our hostess non other then Debbie herself!

I watched a video on youtube and though I still have a lot to learn
this is my end result.
There are a few things I would certainly do different next time
(like move the sun up out of the way of the die cuts)
but this was my final and 5th attempt so I went with as is!
Practice makes perfect as they say and I surely need more practice!

I left a sentiment off for now as I am not entirely sure what I will use
this card for yet, I am thinking it would make a nice
peaceful sympathy card!

I let the little bear in the top left corner inspire me!
I used a cute bear stamp that came with a card magazine a few years ago
and this is the first time it has seen ink, about time I would say!!

I also used a few scrap pieces of designer paper and added a few
extra snowflakes.  All  the snowflakes were treated with my stardust gelly roll pen!

We were honored with a digital
Little Gardner to use for our projects.
I'm not sure if you are familiar with these digi's but
they are absolutely the cutest!

I colored my little gardener and her puppy friend with Copics
on a Tutti Designs cross stitched postage die cut.
The papers I used are from Echo Park Spring Fling pad.
Optional was to add a dragonfly, so I did, die cut from
black card stock and a blue vellum!

Precious Purple

We are almost half way through the year, can you believe it? 
It also brings us to a new color challenge at 
Colorful Options and this month it's PURPLE.
You also always  have the choice of using rainbow colors.

We have a fabulously inspiring mood board just to get
you in a purple creative mood!

I have been a stenciling freak!  I used a stencil from 
Pretty Pink Posh Seamless Floral Panel.
I actually have it upside down on my card, but still thinks it looks pretty good!  (only me..lol)
I added a few butterflies from Creative Expressions.

Two Old Bats June Halloween Challenge

Two Old Bats is back for this months Halloween Challenge
and we once again have a fun mood board for inspiration

I normally try to let the mood board inspire me as I
did this time with the upper left picture with the owl.

I used a background paper that I have had for a very long time
(and still have more) and a Cheap Dies Owl die,
I backed the owl with a goldish moon 
and a sentiment strip from Simon Says!

Four Seasons June~Anything Goes Summer

 We just 'rolled' into our SUMMER season at our
Four Seasons Challenge blog.

Though the theme is Summer with anything goes 'summery'
We do have a fun mood board for inspiration!

I do my best on trying to let the mood boards inspire me
and I let the upper right corner with those yummy
flamingo cupcakes do the trick this time!

Last year (yep LAST year) I hit a clearance sale at scrapbook.com
and purchased this fun set of stamps from Creative Expressions
called 'Perfect Partners', the sentiment is from the same set!

I colored them in with a few Copics and added some bling from
Pink Fresh!

We have a new challenge theme this month at Dies R Us
and it's all about the Dad's or Masculine Guys in your life. 

 

I decided to create a fun 'shirt' card starting first with some plaid paper from my stash!
For the collar I die cut a Tutti Designs Stitched Banner and just snipped off the
banner ends to give a tailored collar look,
The pockets were Cheapo Dies Pocket Bouquet and once again created by just snipping off
the parts I didn't need, being the flowers in this case!
I put a For You stamped sentiment in the pocket using a small snipped piece from the smallest
die in the Tutti Designs Stitched Rectangle set.
The buttons are Impression Obsession and being die cut from paper
they make an easy mailer with no bulk!

White With One Other Color Challenge

Our new challenge at Double D is

WHITE with ONE other color ONLY!

I went really basic colors with my card,
just plain old black and white
and used the top left corner to inspire me!

I was super excited when I got this Cheery Lynn kitty die out
as one of my magnets has been missing well over two years
from my TH platform
and here it was stuck on the back of this die !
Just goes to show you I need to use my 'stuff' more often!

I created a mini slimline and using 

 paper from and old (2015) pad of Authenique Classic Essentials paper pad!
The dies are older ones from Spellbinders, probably some of the first
dies I ever bought!  It feels so GOOD to use older things!
The sentiment is from Pink Fresh Studio.
