October Birthday Challenge

Today at The Sisterhood of Crafters I am the hostess
and for our theme I chose BIRTHDAYS! 

For my card I used a beautiful Cottage Cutz die
Spring blooms.

I die cut but left it all intact then used blending brushes and ink
to add the colors.
I like the ay it all came together and plan on doing a few more of
these with the same dies.

The die underneath is a Joy crafts called Bille's Circle.

Trick of Treat

A new themed challenge starts today at Double D
and it is Owls and/or Pumpkins!

We have a great and fun  mood board for a bit of inspiration!

I used a Cottage Cutz die for my card, Black Cat with Jack -o-Lantern!  

I try to buy when they have their 60 to 85% off sales
and have to admit I have LOTS of their dies, but some are really time
consuming with all the little parts, in fact I had an extra piece for this one
but for the life of me couldn't figure out where it went LOL!
I used all kinds of scraps from my scrap bags for my die cut
and this is the first time I have used this die, what was I waiting for???

A hint to make it much easier when constructing is I always go and cut all the pieces first
then put them on a white card stock sheet as I cut so as not to lose a piece before I am ready
to use it, makes is simpler to have it all in front of you ready to adhere!

I used a few pieces of my designer paper that has been around for quite awhile!

I think he turned out pretty cute, even without the missing piece,
where ever that goes!  I think it's a little piece that goes in his mouth, whoops!!

Happy Birthday

 My daughter's birthday was Saturday and being she is a professional

photographer I thought this image was perfect for her!
This is a Picket Fence Studios stamp 'Karen' that I received FREE
from placing an order with Scrapbookdotcom.
Do you ever order from them?  They give something away with
each order, sometimes 2 things or even three like they did today!
I have all kinds of free things from them, so fun!!

She even wears her hair like this at times LOL!
I have to say she loved it

Peace On Earth Christmas Challenge #1

Today is an exciting day as it is our FIRST post about our newest
challenge at Peace on Earth, an anything goes year round Christmas challenge!

We have super fun and creative mood boards to inspire you.
let alone our fabulous Design Team  to inspire you even more!

 Anything Christmas

I used the top right corner to inspire todays card!
I originally had something else entirely in mind
but as time was running out on me I decided to go with a favorite stamp
of mine that I have had for a very long long time!

This is a 1998 True West Designs stamp Large Horse and Wreath
which is long out of business.
I have a good friend that raises show quarter horses  so
this might very well be her Christmas card this year!

I stamped the image on Accents Opaque Smooth card stock and
colored in with my Copics.
The Champagne Pop of Drops are from a free bottle I received from Scrapbookdot com with an
order I had put in.  The pretty background paper is from a pad I
purchased last year Echo Park Lumberjack Christmas.

Two Old Bats October Halloween Challenge

Time is flying by and it's already time for our new challenge
at Two Old Bats and the theme is as always Anything Goes HALLOWEEN!

We have a super cool mood board just to inspire you
and check out out challenge HERE to see even more
inspiration from the team! 

Myself, I love being inspired by others and the mood boards
so I went with the bottom right corner for today's card!

I used a newly purchased Honey Bee stamp Patchwork Pumpkins
and let the plaid pumpkins on the board inspire me!

I die cut the bats from a die as they were the perfect size for my tree which is from
Memory Box.
To finish I simply added a piece of twine and a BOO sentiment!

Spooky Fun

Let's have some spooky fun with the new challenge at
Dies R Us where the theme is always Anything Goes!
You don't have to do Halloween but why not, it is October!!!

For my card I started with a washi tape background that I thought the
colors and pattern were perfect for a nighttime spooky sky!
I used Tutti Designs Dotted Nesting Rectangles to cut out my panel.
(all links are given below).
The moon and stars are Impression Obsession Moon, Stars, Sun die set.
I used the fun and spooky witch from Tutti Designs Cooking Witch,
gee I wonder what she is cooking up, or maybe I am better off NOT knowing!

The sentiment is one from a pack of sentiment strips I bought a while back.

Grateful For You

Hello there!
We are back with our second  Four Seasons Fall challenge
for the month of October and we have a fun mood board to inspire you
like I let it inspire me!

I went with the bottom left corner as I had a great stamp I had
in mind to use, BUT, I reorganized all my stamps by theme
and could not for the life of me find it!!

Luckily for me, I had a friend that gave up paper crafting and sent me
two priority boxes full of stamps and dies and this stamp was one of them!
However it wasn't marked and I haven't a clue who the manufacturer is, but
it sure came in handy for today's card!

I stamped it on my new Super Smooth Accent Opaque paper I bought form Amazon.
It was then colored in with Copics and to my dismay, my Copic blender brush was dry!
I ran to Hobbylobby and got a new one, so hope this one fares better!
The sentiment is Pretty Pink Posh Simple Sentiments and 
the gems are Pretty Pink Posh Party Mix.

I love our new challenge blog for Four Seasons and hope you will
