Chocolate Bunny

Do you love bunnies?
I do, and I love this bunny die from Tutti Designs

I die cut my bunny from a 'chocolate' paper...
I just love, love the detail on this die.

I did a little 'basket weave' embossing,
added a pretty yellow ribbon/bow from the ribbon club at RRR.

I also die cut a 'Best Wishes' from both a yellow card stock
and the chocolate as well.

I added a pretty border edge using a Precious Marieke die.
(We actually gave away one of these dies a few weeks back
at the Double D challenge).

A few sequins were added to finish.
This die is more then just for Easter,
would make a perfect baby or birthday card or
an any occasion card like I created!

Easter Bunny

I should of known today was going to be one of those days when I got up at
3:30 am and stayed up..lol.

First a two hour phone call, then the power company shut down our power
in the middle of my Cricut cutting to change something on a transformer....
and the hubby has been sick all weekend and I think I am coming down with it...ugh!

Anyhow, I have a cute, cute Easter Bunny shaped card I made from

Regina (the owner) has the entire team
get together on The Cutting Cafe blog (on 3/21)where YOU can visit
and see all the fabulous designs in one place,
PLUS just by leaving a comment on TCC blog
you could win 3 free cut files of your own!

Today I used my Cricut to cut this cutest  Bunny shaped card.
Isn't he just the cutest?
And this bunny can be used for birthdays, a baby card and so on.

I have to admit I asked for 2 other Easter bunny cut files along
with this one and had every intention of using all three for this post,
well, that didn't happen, however, I will be using them on my blog
later, well in advance of Easter!

I cut a lavender card base, then the body of my bunny
out of a newly, just purchased paper.
I meant to add a bit of ink detail around the edge but totally forgot to do so...geez!

I added googlie eyes and have to say that while I was trimming the whiskers
to the length I wanted, those google eyes rolled over and 'watched' me....
a bit eerie if you ask me...LOL...made me a bit nervous!!

Make sure to visit The Cutting Cafe blog tomorrow (3/21) to see
all the other fun and fantastic creations by the team....
it should up and running in the afternoon!

Cupcake Delight

Happy first day of SPRING!!
Our day rolled in about 3:30 am with
thunder storms and more to come this afternoon.
I could definitely do Spring without the storms!

The new March release (14 dies)is out at Tutti Designs
and it is all about birthdays!
However, these dies would work for lots of different occasions.

I have a card to share using one of the new dies
'Cupcake' #291.

I cut the die in four different colors, then paper pieced
it all together on black card stock.

I added 'sprinkles' by filling each little cutout on the cupcake
with Nuvo Crystal Drops which matched perfectly.
The colors I used were
If you haven't tried these yet they are really neat to use
and also very reasonable.
(I have the links above if interested).

A bow was added to the card to finish,
but i have to admit, I actually built the colors around this card
with the colors of the ribbon....works for me..lol.

Flowers Silhouettes #2

This is my blog post on the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today

Hi Diane with you today and showing a card using the newly released stamp set 'Flowers Silhouettes'

I started by stamping the image on card stock with green ink and filling in the leaves with Copic pens and adding a touch of Emerald Green Nuvo Glimmer Paste to each leaf.
I knew I wanted each flower not only to be a different color, but a bright color, so I embossed each one with Versamark and different colors of embossing powders.  I inked with Versamark, then embossed, then I did the same for each flower, one at a time.

Once each flower was embossed, I used a 1" round  punch
for each separate flower.  I didn't worry too much about the butterfly showing on the red one as shown below, as I stamped and colored it
separate as well, then popped it up on the flower later, covering it up on the punched flower.

These are the colors of embossing powders I used:
Don't they just look yummy??

Here they are after each one was done, I popped each flower up with a foam dot.

I used an IO cloud die to stamp the sentiment on using Versamark ink and Red Apple embossing powder.
The center of each flower was dotted with Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss Ebony Black.
I stamped each butterfly, then fussy cut out with Tonic 5" mini Scissors.

I used a Joy Crafts Grass die, coated it with Nuvo Glue Pen Large
then Mountain Mint Velvet glitter.
I attached it to my card front with 1/8" Tear-ific Tape.
The base was then adhered to a black card stock base with

I was pleased with the way it turned out, so bright and cheerful!!

Little Easter Lamb

It has been craziness around here the last few days.
I took  a couple days off from my DT'ing
to spend one day shopping with my sister....
and oh my shopping did we go...it actually was one of those
'shop til you drop' days..but we had a blast!

My second day 'off' though was not spent as planned.
I spent most of the day in the ER with my daughter.
She had gotten a chocolate Frappe from McDonald's
and had a reaction from it....
swelling her face and lips about 5 times their size.
(I would show you her picture but she would disown me..lol)
It was very scarey to see her like that and also very scarey
to think what was in the drink to cause all that.
Not the way either of planned to spend our Friday!

On another note,
I have another card to share today using the Tutti Designs
I love this lamb die, it is a big one,
taking up the entire card front.

I used a mixed media paper pack that had a pretty burlap
piece in it for the background and a pretty
Easter trim for the bow!
The lamb itself (die) is cut from a Ken Oliver
watercolored Memories paper pack...
I love all the  different colors it creates on the die cut.
Of course I had to give him a little bling collar!!

Make sure and come back Monday as the March
release will be out at Tutti Designs and you won't want to miss it...I will have a project here using one of the new dies!
What better way to celebrate the first day of Spring!!

A Pocket Full Of Spring

It is that time of the month once again for a new challenge at
It is being hosted by our lovely and talented Anne
and she has chosen the theme
'Springtime'.

Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge

For my creation I made a very colorful card using things
from my scrap bags.

I started with a distressed candy hearts background I had rejected from
another project, and ended up covering most of it up
with a 2nd distressed designer paper.

I popped up a little 'pocket' and filled it with some 3D stickers I
received from a friend (thank you Terri).
they are actually very shiny and sparkle IRL.

In my bag of yellow scraps, I found a die cut bow and a little bunny
which I also was able to use, along with a bit of
a grass die cut!

This is a bit of a different card for me and I am not sure how
'Fussy and Fancy' it is, but I think whomever I send it to,
it will cheer them up!

Take a 'peek' over at the Fussy and Fancy challenge
to let the Design Team inspire you, they always, always have
totally gorgeous work,
and remember, just because our name is
you don't have to be!

Pretty In Pink

Another card I made for Tutti Designs this time using
a beautiful background die 'Rose Frame'
I just love the beauty of this die.

To get the layered look I have die cut the image
with the center part of the die, then just inlaid it
like a puzzle piece....
it makes it look like I die cut the pink card stock too,
but it is actually a full piece underneath,
making it a very easy card.

I added a few flowers and die cut some leaves.

The image is a Nellie's Choice by Sandra Kuck,
it is from a panel called 'little sister'...so sweet!
I purchased several of these a long while back and this is the first
I have used them....I have way too much stash!
