With Love

Hello friends, I am back today with another card I created for the fun
mood board created at Inspired By Clothesline.

I loved the pretty aprons in the inspiration photo as they reminded me
of my grandmother that always wore an apron, in fact I still have her aprons
that I treasure.  I was also inspired by the plaids in the middle apron as I
knew I had a Lawn Fawn paper that was pretty much the same.
I used a Lockhart 2009 apron stamp that I have used before but not
for a long long time.  It was fun to pull it out again.  I stamped it with Cloud 9
solid black ink on the LF paper then fussy cut it out. I embossed the background
with an old Cuttlebug Kitchen Weave folder, kind of a fitting name for the apron
to 'rest' on don't you think?

I have been having fun pulling out the old and entering a few challenges
that I purposely created just for the challenge!!
That's if for me today, I am off to spend the day with my daughter and ex SIL!!

Eat Cake

Hello friends,  I had some fun playtime today and decided to join the
House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge with the OPTIONAL
theme of FOOD!

I was lucky enough that I had three friends give me all their
woodblock house mouse stamps and ended up with three containers of them.

This stamp is a Stampendous 2003Birthday Cupcake Mudpie and Muzzy.
I stamped it in my favorite new Cloud 9 Solid Black ink
then colored it in with Olo's and Copic's.
When finished I got the bright idea to add some yellow Stickles on the
cupcake frosting.
The sentiment is from The Greetery which I think fit the stamp perfectly!

Thanks for stopping by!!

March 2025 Woodblock Wednesday

Hello friends, it's once again time for Amy's Woodblock Wednesday challenge.
It's always the last Wednesday of the month, can you believe that March has
already gotten there?  I'm excited about it as soon it will be warmer!

I decided to go the Easter route since it will be here soon and used an oldie
but goodie stamp I have had forever from PSX 1998 and the sentiment woodblock is
Savvy Stamps.  I stamped the cute bunny image on a Pink Fresh Studio Folk Edge Circle.
The paper is Paper Rose Spring Bunnies  and I added some gems and a bit of lemon twine.

If you still have woodblocks, you should come and
play too, the more the merrier!!

Challenge Time

Hello friends, I now have ALL my design team cards done for 2025
(I worked really hard on that all winter)
so now I can create whatever I want whenever I want and I decided to do the
challenge at The card Concept when I saw their pretty inspiration board
and pretty mix of colors.

The Card Concept

I wasn't sure how to define this card but I think it is somewhat
Clean and Layered, there is more embossing then I was able to capture
in the photo, but it's there.  I used scraps of a yellow gingham underneath
the circle.  The white base in one that I bought in a set of 12 years and years ago
from Joanne Fabrics and have been trying to use them up.
The flowers are a Cottage Cutz die Spring Blooms ( no longer available)
that I die cut from a white card stock then colored in with
Olo's and Copic's.   Picky, picky, I think my fingers are permanently stuck together!

Thanks for visiting, I have daffodils blooming in the woods
so I am off to go and cut some before it snows
on Monday, yes SNOW....UGH!!!!!

You Brighten My Day

Hello friends, at Can You Handle The Pressure
we have an OPTIONAL theme of Your Favorite Color,
but you can create anything as long as you have used an embossing folder
as that is what we are all about!

I have to say I pretty much love all colors and over my life I have
changed my favorites very much.  But "IF" I had to pick one today it would be
YELLOW!
Yellow is such a HAPPY color, all bright and cheerful.
I remember as a child my mom had a yellow kitchen and pretty
yellow curtains in the windows always blowing in the breeze,
always a happy place!

I used for the first time a fabulous Altenew 3D embossing folder
'Vintage Lace' along with the matching stencil.
This folder is so pretty as not only does it emboss the pretty flower
but also the surrounding area around it.
I know it is hard to tell but I used 5 different yellows for my flowers
but since they are are so similar in color it is hard to see the difference.
Two colors of green were used for the stems and leaves.
The sentiment is a BetterPress from Spellbinders.

Come on over to Can You Handle The Pressure and
show us YOUR favorite color!!

Birds

Hello friends, at Double D our challenge theme is all about BIRDS.
We want to see birds on your creations and have a
mood board full of them for inspiration!

My card base is PURPLE though it looks a blue-ish color.
Using a Waffle Flower Lacey die and paper from Paper Rose Spring Bunnies
I made my base panel.  Using the same PR paper pad I die cut a Sizzix oval for my
Cottage Cutz Sparrow on Post to 'land' on.  A few gems were added.
The sentiment is Pink Fresh Studios.

Get your bird stamps/dies out and come and have
some 'feathered'' fun with us at Double D!

Tis The Season

Hello friends, it's that time again for a new challenge at
Peace On Earth where we create Christmas cards year round.
We always have a fun mood board for inspiration but you can
create anything new that is Christmas!

For my card I pulled out a Cottage Cutz Baking Gnome die
for a first time use.  Yikes did this die have a lot of little parts,
I mean look at those eyebrows, each one was cut separate.
I die cut all pieces from a scrap of white card stock
( a couple of times as pieces kept disappearing) then colored in with
Copics and Olo markers.  The background paper is from one of my
very favorite paper makers, P13, die cut with a lacey Waffle Flower die.
The scalloped eyelet oval die is also from Cottage Cutz.

Come join us at Peace On Earth and get yourself that much ahead for
Christmas of 2025!
